After a night of hard work, the sharp wooden stakes and sulfur were ready. The next day, more than twenty strong men from the village returned under the leadership of Huo Feng.
Upon arriving in the village, everyone, at Huo Feng's command, went home to grab their hoes. They headed to one side of the village, which was the route that the Thorny Earth Demon Boars would take to attack. The group immediately began digging.
After Huo Feng designated the area for them, he set off alone to scout further ahead.

After a long while, Huo Feng returned to the village. The men were still sweating profusely as they dug with all their might. Huo Feng walked into the village and leaped onto the roof of a thatched hut, then lay down to sleep. As a skilled leader, he certainly wouldn't join them in digging.

Huo Feng smiled and said, "Now you need to spread the sulfur evenly at the bottom of the pit you dug. Then drive those sharp wooden stakes into the pit with the pointed ends facing up; try to drive them deep. Finally, cover the top of the pit with small branches and then lay sand or something similar on top. Once you finish this, you can return to the cave; I will handle the rest."
With that, Huo Feng jumped back onto the roof and continued lying down.

After the villagers finished their tasks, it had already begun to grow dim, and Huo Feng still lay on the thatched roof. The villagers were unsure of what his plan was and did not dare to disturb him, so they returned to the cave on their own.

Huo Feng activated his Crimson Demon Eyes and looked in the direction of the sound. Moments later, he saw a large group of blood-colored beasts rushing towards him at high speed; he recognized them as Thorny Earth Demon Boars.
Huo Feng's plan had indeed worked. The herd of Thorny Earth Demon Boars charged into the trap he had set up, and their howls echoed throughout the village. These low-level beasts lacked intelligence; upon seeing dozens of their kind fall into the pit, those behind continued to charge forward without slowing down. When only a few dozen remained, they hesitated for a moment before attempting to trample over the bodies of both dead and alive Thorny Earth Demon Boars in the pit.
At that moment, Huo Feng unleashed the first level of Star Blade. A silver Starlight Blade shot towards the pit at incredible speed, reaching its target almost instantly. The friction between the blade and air sparked flames, igniting the sulfur powder below.
The blazing fire engulfed the entire pit and illuminated the village. The surviving Thorny Earth Demon Boars that had rushed into the pit were now thrashing about inside. Huo Feng realized that he needed 100 Beast Souls from these Thorny Earth Demon Boars to complete his task; if they were all roasted, he would be left with nothing but charred remains, causing him to feel a headache from his oversight.
With no time to waste, Huo Feng immediately activated his Silver Yuan Defense System and decisively jumped into the fiery pit to collect 100 Beast Souls. Fortunately, the Silver Yuan Defense System could withstand the intense flames; otherwise, Huo Feng would have nowhere to lament his fate.
Inside the fire pit, Huo Feng swiftly moved about collecting Beast Souls from the Thorny Earth Demon Boars while also dealing with those that were on fire and trying to escape.
After a while, Huo Feng caught a whiff of roasted meat and thought to himself that it had been a long time since he had eaten game. He pulled out several perfectly roasted Thorny Earth Demon Boars and placed them at the village entrance while securing 100 Beast Souls in his Narcissistic Ring.
Once everything was in order, he smiled lightly and said to himself, "This was really too easy. Now all that's left is the Thorned Earth Demon Boar King. Such organized chaos must have a leader; I will follow these fresh footprints and surely find that Thorned Earth Demon Boar King."
With that thought, Huo Feng set off along the footprints of the Thorny Earth Demon Boars. However, after running for a short distance, he suddenly stopped, turned around sharply, and dashed back towards the roasted Thorny Earth Demon Boar carcasses. He yanked off a cooked thigh from one of them and tore off its skin before once again sprinting towards the direction of the footprints while munching on the thigh meat.
Huo Feng quickly arrived at a mountain stream, where the footprints were mostly concentrated in the open area of the stream. In other places, the tracks were scattered in various directions, leaving Huo Feng at a loss. He lost interest in the half-eaten leg he had left and casually tossed it aside.
Standing in the center of the stream, Huo Feng was unsure of what to do next. He looked around but did not find any suspicious spots. Huo Feng took to the air, hoping to get a better view from above, but still found nothing.
At that moment, there was a commotion in the bushes at a high point of the stream. Just as Huo Feng was about to fly over to investigate, a massive white figure suddenly charged down from somewhere. Its enormous fangs were about twenty centimeters long, and it was heading straight for Huo Feng's position in the air.
