The raging fire seemed to illuminate the entire night sky, even making the falling snowflakes appear red. With a howling sound like a fierce wind, it suddenly shattered the drifting white petals. 0

The Zhao Army Cavalry, inexplicably struck by arrows, had not yet grasped what was happening when a group of menacing Cavalry emerged from the shadows, followed closely by waves of Soldiers. 0

The buzzing of Bowstrings and the sharp screams of arrows piercing the air created a harmonious yet terrifying symphony, instantly shattering the resolve of the Zhao Army, who had intended to hold their ground. Those still alive saw comrades fall around them, and the suppressed fear filled their bodies. Soldiers and Cavalry mixed together, all retreating towards the wall of flames in an attempt to escape the camp. 0

As they leaped out of the fire, they suddenly found that the area Outside the camp was filled with burning torches. Confused as to why these lighting tools were not present when they arrived, they felt something lightly push against their bodies. 0

In the chaos, Soldiers were pushed into the flames by their comrades, igniting their armor and clothing. Screaming, they rushed out of the camp but were quickly shot down by incoming arrows. As more Soldiers fell to arrows, the panicked troops finally realized they were surrounded. Pressed against the burning walls, they found themselves in a dire situation with no way to advance or retreat. 0

Upon hearing surrender commands from both sides, they felt a sense of relief wash over them. The last remnants of courage vanished without a trace as they dropped their weapons and ceased resistance. As Qin State Soldiers closed in, the remaining Zhao Army troops realized that it was indeed the main force of the Qin Army approaching. 0

What had seemed like an imminent victory moments ago had turned into defeat in an instant. Such a stark contrast left one sighing at the unpredictability of fate. 0

Meng Wu, who had just been caught up in bloodlust, could hardly hold back tears as he saw the bustling Qin Army pass by him. Struggling to dismount his warhorse, he collapsed onto the ground, gasping for breath. The recent battle had drained him completely; he had been relying solely on adrenaline until now. With his tension easing, he found himself unable to even loosen his grip on his sword. 0

Sun Thirteen, mingling among the troops, spotted Meng Wu and quickly jumped off his horse to shout for a Surgeon to check on his injuries. The examination revealed that Meng Wu had several minor wounds all over his body. However, an arrow wound on his back had reopened due to excessive strain but was still manageable thanks to prior treatment. 0

Confirming that General Meng was safe, Sun Thirteen stood up and looked around at the burning camp. He was searching for an answer that weighed heavily on his mind but found nothing. Seeing Meng Wu with his head down in silence made him anxious: "Luzi isn't at Mountain God Shrine; he wouldn't have come here, would he? Where's Li Xin? Where is he?" 0

Hearing this, Meng Wu strained to turn his head and look back. When they charged into battle earlier, he and Luzi had charged in opposite directions. The battlefield had become increasingly chaotic until it eventually scattered them all. Gritting his teeth and with help from the Surgeon and Sun Thirteen, he managed to stand up. "Let's go! We need to find them!" 0

In Meng Wu's memory, Luzi should have been behind him while Li Xin should be near the camp's walls. As their search progressed, they only found Li Xin covered in blood alone. 0

Seeing him sitting on the ground motionless, holding a soldier from the Qin State in his arms, Sun Thirteen shouted twice but saw no reaction from Li Xin, causing his heart to leap into his throat. He hurriedly ran over and crouched down to check if the fierce general was still alive. Just as his hand touched Li Xin's shoulder, a cold light flashed. 0

This is bad! He’s already dazed! 0

Sun Thirteen tilted his head to dodge while simultaneously grabbing Li Xin's wrist to prevent the long sword from stabbing. Fortunately, at this moment, Li Xin was already at the end of his strength; otherwise, he would have surely been injured at such close range. 0

“Damn it! It’s me!” Sun Thirteen reminded him while prying open Li Xin's hand to seize the long sword. 0

Hearing the familiar voice, Li Xin's consciousness became clearer. He looked up just in time to see the Surgeon standing right in front of him and hurriedly beckoned him over to save the soldier he was holding. If this young man had not shielded him from the arrows, he believed he would have already returned to his place by now! 0

The Surgeon had hesitated to approach, worried that the dazed man might suddenly lash out and hurt someone. He had seen too many situations like this; approaching recklessly without skill could lead to injury. Now that he saw General Sun had taken away the weapon, he felt safe enough to come over and provide aid. 0

The examination revealed that there were no fatal injuries, but the condition was still not optimistic. In such circumstances, all they could do was fulfill their duty. Whether or not the wounded would ultimately survive depended on whether their constitution could withstand this ordeal. 0

As the remaining soldiers of the Qin Army's vanguard gathered, Meng Wu saw that fewer than ten were left. He couldn't help but feel a wave of sadness wash over him, lowering his head without saying a word. 0

The Surgeon and others who arrived later found a group of wounded gathered here and rushed over to help check their injuries and perform bandaging. Some wounds caused by sharp objects were deep enough to see bone, and one soldier had completely lost his forearm. Despite this, none of them cried out in pain. Such resilience was truly admirable! 0

Since those who were alive were present, where was the General!? 0

None of the surviving personnel felt excited about being alive; they exchanged glances filled with helplessness. Sun Thirteen had already learned that Luzi had indeed come to the camp but planned to roar a few words only to abandon it upon seeing Meng Wu and Li Xin's injuries. 0

But with Luzi missing again, what could be done!? This offense would be held accountable; he might even be sent to guard the borders! 0

The battle had officially come to an end, and the arriving Qin Army had completely taken control of the battlefield. As the fires were extinguished or turned into piles of bonfires, the once chaotic camp began to take on an orderly appearance. 0

Just as Sun Thirteen was about to head outside the camp to search for Luzi, he heard a very familiar sneeze. It was the distinctive sound of Seven Star Black Steed's nostrils—there was no mistaking it! 0

The eager Soldiers in the front line also heard the approaching hoofbeats and helped each other up to pay their respects in the direction of the sound. As a dark figure slowly emerged from the night, it seemed as if a white light appeared on the horizon. 0

Was dawn approaching? 0

While those on the mountaintop were still hopeful, the originally black sky suddenly turned white. As visibility returned to normal, they saw Luzi riding on horseback, casually making his way over while resting a hand on his long sword. 0

"General!" The Soldiers saluted this Officer who had fought bravely at the front lines, expressing their heartfelt gratitude. If it hadn't been for the effective defense plan at Camp Gate, who knows if they would have survived to this moment. 0

Luzi dismounted from his warhorse and nodded solemnly at everyone. The reason for his earlier absence was that he had just circled around the entire camp. The Soldiers were clearing the battlefield and identifying friendly corpses while also searching for any surviving Wounded. 0

The results of the search and rescue were not promising; they hardly found anyone alive. Even those severely injured Soldiers had fought with all their might to take down enemies alongside them. However, in doing so, they ended up being pierced by weapons from the Zhao Army that arrived shortly after. 0
