The personnel configuration of the Supply Unit mainly consists of military support roles, and their combat effectiveness is predictable. After exchanging pleasantries and before he could ask if they had enough supplies, he suddenly noticed his second brother was in a hurry, indicating something significant had occurred. Upon hearing this, Sima Shang glanced at Li Mu's grim expression and couldn't help but sigh internally. Instead of answering directly, he asked, "Elder Brother! Did you encounter any Qin Army on your way here?"
Huang Fei was immediately alarmed upon hearing that there was a Qin Army behind Zhao Army's rear. Looking at the continuing Supply Team made him feel suffocated with anxiety. Luck never seems to return; embarrassing situations always follow! How could there be another discovery of the Qin Army!? He felt like he was about to lose his mind!
"How many Cavalry are there? You are at the Dan River frontline; how could they break through the Natural Barrier and come over?!"
The pursuing Qin Army squad was not Cavalry since there were no hoofprints along the way. Seeing that his elder brother was not making sense, Sima Shang understood that Huang Fei had not seen that lost Qin Army unit. However, he also knew how delicate the situation was; revealing the truth might destabilize morale. Even if his elder brother inquired about it, he still could not tell him everything as it was.
Sima Shang turned to look at Li Mu and replied, "It's nothing serious! I just heard along the way that there seem to be a few Qin Soldiers active nearby, so I came with my second brother to confirm."
Huang Fei was worried about encountering a large group of the Qin Army Cavalry Unit. Hearing that it was only a few people eased his concerns. "I thought it was something major! It turns out to be just a few scouts from the Qin Army! We have over two hundred thousand main forces here; how could a few insignificant ones cause any trouble?" He laughed heartily.
If they were indeed scouts, there was no need for concern! Even if they managed to sneak over, they surely wouldn't return to report. However, since nothing was certain at the moment, jumping to conclusions seemed inappropriate. Li Mu saw that this conversation was lacking substance and wasting precious time, so he bowed respectfully to his elder brother. "My brother and I still have official business to attend to and cannot delay any longer. We take our leave now, and I hope you understand!"
The Supply Team also included a surgeon who had been temporarily summoned from within the country. They needed to seize the opportunity while the Qin Army on the opposite bank halted their crossing. Huang Fei was also pressed for time due to military matters, so he did not blame the usually quiet Li Mu. He clasped his hands in salute and advised, "Farewell! You two must pay attention to your safety!"
As Li Mu saw Huang Fei turn to leave, he quickly grabbed Huang Fei's arm. Taking a deep breath and sighing lightly, he looked around to ensure no one was paying attention before quietly reminding him, "Elder brother! After delivering this grain, you must hurry back to Taihang Mountain!"
Huang Fei was taken aback by this sudden statement. With tens of thousands of troops defending here, what danger could there be? Moreover, the Qin Army couldn't possibly cross the river! Confused, he looked at Li Mu's serious expression and asked softly, "What do you mean?"
Li Mu didn't want to elaborate further; he nodded at Huang Fei and jumped onto his warhorse. "Elder brother! Remember what I just said! Farewell!" With that, he pulled on the reins and galloped away in the opposite direction of the Supply Team.
Sima Shang followed suit, mounting his horse and signaling for the troops to follow. He then cupped his hands in salute towards Huang Fei and said, "Elder brother! It's always right to listen to my second brother! Brothers part ways here; I hope we can meet again! Farewell!"
Huang Fei returned Sima Shang's gesture and saw him adjust his horse's head before saying, "By the way! I ran into our third brother earlier; if you see him, please keep an eye on him for me!"
"Understood!" Sima Shang replied as he waved goodbye and hurriedly chased after Li Mu on horseback.
Watching his cavalry team depart, Huang Fei mounted his horse with a smile and shook his head. He muttered to himself, "These kids are all so anxious! They act like if Zhao State is gone, everything will fall apart! In reality, it's all the same!"
Sima Shang caught up with Li Mu and couldn't help but scold him. "It's been months since we parted ways at Lightwolf Fortress. Now that we've run into each other, why not say a few more words!?"
Li Mu smiled and shook his head, pointing to his heart. "Brothers are kept right here. What difference does it make whether we say a lot or a little? Even if we talk endlessly, what good does it do? When it really matters, if one only thinks of oneself, then such a brother is better off without!"
Sima Shang was already filled with anger, and hearing Li Mu's evasive response only made him even more furious. "So according to you, does that mean I can understand that you would shield me from arrows!?"
Li Mu smiled slightly and asked, "What did the elder brother just call out to you? I didn't catch it because I was running too fast."
