Slowly, there were so many cars in front of Chen Haoxuan's house that they could only park on the roadside. This left Li Jun and Li Boshi overwhelmed; they couldn't see the cars ahead and had to keep patrolling, warning villagers not to touch those vehicles.
Currently, aside from Chen Haoxuan's place, Chen Family Village was mostly deserted because the villagers had all come to see the commotion at Chen Haoxuan's home. At that moment, Zhou Xiang drove his sedan to Chen Family Village and found he couldn't drive in, so he parked on the roadside. The car in front of Zhou Xiang was driven by Li Jun, who was involved in real estate by building industrial parks and renting them out to factory owners. Zhou Xiang got out of his car and shouted loudly to Li Jun ahead, "Li Jun, we can't drive in; why don't you come out? Let's walk over!"
Just then, Li Jun was patrolling near Zhou Xiang. Hearing Zhou Xiang's words made him pause; he wasn't walking but driving? With a puzzled expression, he approached Zhou Xiang and asked, "Excuse me, were you calling me?"
Zhou Xiang was taken aback and then explained, "I wasn't calling you; I was calling Li Jun."
Li Jun pointed at himself with a confused look and said, "I am Li Jun! Is there someone else with the same name?"
"Well... it's quite unfortunate, but there is indeed someone with the same name as you, and he's quite wealthy too—he's in the car ahead," Zhou Xiang laughed.
Li Jun had already opened his car door; he had forgotten something and was searching for it when he heard Zhou Xiang talking about someone with the same name. He stopped looking for his things, climbed out of the car, and asked loudly, "Who has the same name as me?"
Zhou Xiang pointed at the security guard named Li Jun and said with a smile, "It's him! Look how handsome he is! Tall and strong—unlike you, a chubby old man."
Li Jun ignored Zhou Xiang; he was used to such jokes. He walked up to the security guard named Li Jun, extended his right hand with a smile, and said, "Hello, I am also named Li Jun."
"Hello, hello... I didn't expect our names to be the same; it might be a kind of fate!" Security guard Li Jun joked.
"I think so too. I see you're wearing camouflage and have such a strong and tall build, exuding the unique aura of a soldier. You must have served in the military, right?" Li Jun smiled and asked.
"You guessed it right; I used to be a soldier," security guard Li Jun replied happily. Perhaps because his name was the same as hers, he felt a good rapport with her. They chatted for half an hour, and when Li Jun finished talking, she wanted to find Zhou Xiang, who had long since disappeared.
Zhou Kexin and Hua Lingwei were wandering around Chen Family Village. They had driven there themselves, treating this visit to Chen Haoxuan as a vacation. "Weiwei, don't you feel that aside from Chen Haoxuan's place, this village is particularly quiet? It's so quiet that you can't hear any noise or see anyone. What's going on? This village can't possibly have something unclean, right? (implying ghosts)," Zhou Kexin said fearfully.
"Zhou Kexin, let's go back! I'm scared too," Hua Lingwei stammered. She wasn't originally afraid, but she had just seen a coffin placed on top of a pile of firewood, and combined with Zhou Kexin's speculation, she worried that ghosts might appear.
"Then let's leave!" Zhou Kexin pulled Hua Lingwei along and quickly walked toward Chen Haoxuan's house. Zhou Kexin hadn't seen the coffin; if she had, her reaction might have been even more exaggerated than Hua Lingwei's—she might have fainted.
Upon returning to Chen Haoxuan's home, they finally felt safe. There were so many people; Chen Haoxuan's house was not large enough to accommodate everyone. He had no choice but to send Chen Yuebin to borrow tables and chairs from the village and ask the wealthy guests who drove in to park their cars elsewhere.
Chen Haoxuan set up more than twenty tables before finishing. Since it was already noon, he decided to let the wealthy guests eat first and discuss business after the meal.
Today's dishes were prepared by Li Ping along with the best cooks from Chen Family Village using large pots. When they began serving the food, delightful aromas wafted through the air. Zhou Xiang took a deep breath and then exhaled, unable to help but say, "It smells amazing! I don't know what dishes these are, but they have such an enchanting fragrance."
When the dishes were served, Zhou Xiang realized they were quite simple: pig trotters stewed with lotus root, small fish, fried chili peppers, and light greens. Zhou Xiang picked up a piece of green vegetable to taste and exclaimed in surprise, "Wow—this dish is really well made! It's light and refreshing; it's delicious. Hmm, this pig trotters stewed with lotus root is also good...," Zhou Xiang became excited with each dish he tasted because eating this food reminded him of his earlier struggles. Back then, he was even worse off than Chen Haoxuan; his current achievements were inseparable from his hard work.
"Yes, it's really good! It's my first time eating such sweet food; it's delicious—no wonder it's grown in the countryside," Li Jun chimed in.
These wealthy guests were tired of exotic delicacies; now that they suddenly tasted farmhouse dishes, they realized that rural food was much tastier than those delicacies and didn't come with worries about getting an upset stomach.
Chen Haoxuan raised a glass of white wine and loudly said, "Thank you all for giving me, Chen Haoxuan, face today. I appreciate it. Recently, I have been collecting some unusual stones. If anyone is interested, please come to the house later for an auction; the highest bidder wins. Business takes time, so let's eat first! Cheers!" After finishing his words, Chen Haoxuan downed his drink in one go.
The other wealthy guests also raised their glasses, signaling that they had toasted with Chen Haoxuan.
In a corner, Zhou Kexin waved at Chen Haoxuan and happily said, "Chen Haoxuan, come over here; there's still space." This spot was reserved by Zhou Kexin, and she wouldn't let anyone else sit there unless it was Chen Haoxuan.
"No thanks, I still need to accompany the guests! I don't have time to sit down for a meal," Chen Haoxuan politely declined Zhou Kexin's kind offer with a smile.
