"Don't say it like that," He Haoming replied with a stern face.
The blonde beauty Leah, who was next to He Haoming, asked in English, "He Haoming, who is this person?"
"He is the well-known pretty boy of our school, and he is also a sculptor," He Haoming explained Chen Haoxuan's identity with a sly smile.
Chen Haoxuan scoffed coldly and ignored He Haoming, turning to walk away.

Without thinking much, He Haoming ran to block Chen Haoxuan. His demeanor made him look less like Leah's boyfriend and more like her servant. Although Leah often bossed He Haoming around, he wasn't angry at all; instead, he felt quite proud because, in name, Leah was his girlfriend. He was grateful to his father; if it weren't for his father being close friends with Leah's father, how could he have such a noble girlfriend?
He Haoming ran in front of Chen Haoxuan and blocked his path. Proudly, he said to Chen Haoxuan, "My girlfriend told you to stop; didn't you hear?"
Chen Haoxuan looked at He Haoming with cold eyes and replied icily, "She's not my girlfriend; why should I care? You know what? I really dislike you. I hope you have some self-awareness; otherwise, don't blame me for being rude."
Leah walked gracefully to Chen Haoxuan and, not understanding the language of China, asked He Haoming in English, "What did he say?"
He Haoming was angered by Chen Haoxuan. He did not tell Leah what Chen Haoxuan had said but instead told her in English, "He said you are ugly."
"What?" Leah covered her mouth, looking very surprised at Chen Haoxuan. She was truly shocked by He Haoming's words; she always believed she was beautiful, and many others thought so too. She had never heard anyone say she was ugly before, and this was the first time. How could she not be surprised?
"Why did you say I'm ugly? Where am I ugly?" Leah asked Chen Haoxuan seriously.
"I didn't say you were ugly," Chen Haoxuan replied to Leah in Mandarin. He could speak English, but he wanted to see how He Haoming would use Leah against him. If He Haoming went too far, he would tell Leah the truth, and then He Haoming would be finished.
Leah held her head high, looking at He Haoming, clearly wanting him to translate Chen Haoxuan's words.
He Haoming knew Leah could not understand the language of China, and he was not worried about Chen Haoxuan explaining himself in English because he believed Leah would trust his words. He told Leah, "He said you are ugly everywhere and that you always have a stinky attitude that makes him dislike you."
Upon hearing He Haoming's explanation, Leah pointed at Chen Haoxuan, her chest rising and falling with anger. This made Chen Haoxuan wonder if He Haoming added more fuel to the fire, would Leah's anger cause her clothes to burst.
"You— you..." Leah was so angry she couldn't speak. She felt wronged; no one had ever spoken to her like this in America, but here in China, someone called her ugly and said she was unpleasant.
