From the outside, the two words "luxurious" and "elegant" describe the villa, but from the inside, it feels like a different world—paradise. The furnishings inside the villa are incredibly lavish yet maintain an air of elegance. This is why Xu Muqing and the others, who have never seen such a magnificent house, feel as if they have entered heaven.
"Mr. Chen, I didn't expect you to be a millionaire!" Xu Muqing said, as if she were just now getting to know Chen Haoxuan, looking at him with unfamiliar eyes.
"How could you not know Brother Xuan? That's impossible! Brother Xuan is so famous; he's all over the internet and on television. How could you not recognize him?" Chen Xiumin tilted her head curiously.
"Chen Haoxuan, oh, I get it now! Are you the billionaire from New City? You carved a Thousand Buddha Stone Pagoda and sold it for eleven billion, right?" a tourist exclaimed.
Chen Haoxuan nodded in response, "Yes."
"No wonder you look so familiar; you're that billionaire from New City..." The tourists began to express their astonishment. They had seen Chen Haoxuan's information online and on television, which stated he lived in New City, so they were unaware that his home was actually in Chen Family Village.
Chen Haoxuan took out his phone and called Li Ping, asking her to prepare lunch for thirty people that afternoon.
His home always had plenty of snacks stored away, so Chen Haoxuan and Chen Xiumin packed a large amount of snacks to treat the tourists.
Seeing how close and compatible Chen Haoxuan and Chen Xiumin appeared together, Xu Muqing couldn't help but ask, "Mr. Chen, is Xiao Min really not your girlfriend?"
Chen Haoxuan sat on the sofa while Chen Xiumin perched on the edge of the same sofa. No matter how one looked at them, they resembled a loving couple.
Hearing Xu Muqing's question again, Chen Haoxuan smiled wryly and said, "Maybe whoever I'm with just seems to fit well with me."
Xu Muqing wanted to say that she would also fit well with him if they were together. She thought about it but didn't dare to voice it; she felt too shy. She asked again, "If you say you're not a couple, then why are you both wearing matching outfits?"
"This isn't a couple's outfit; it's just that we chose the same color," Chen Haoxuan explained.
"Sister Qing, do you like me, Brother Xuan? Otherwise, why do you care so much about whether I am Brother Xuan's girlfriend?" Chen Xiumin said playfully, her voice tinged with a hint of jealousy.
Xu Muqing's face flushed bright red, and she quickly waved her hands to explain, "No, no, I don't like Mr. Chen."
"Miss Xu, Xiaomin just likes to joke around, don't take it to heart!" Chen Haoxuan said with a smile.
"It’s fine, it’s fine," Xu Muqing replied awkwardly.
"In fact, my girlfriend is named Chen Yina; she lives next door to me and is currently studying at New City University. As for Xiaomin, she's just a kid from the village; we probably hit it off. She often comes over to play, and over time, I've come to see her as a little sister," Chen Haoxuan explained.
"Then your girlfriend must be very beautiful," Xu Muqing said with a hint of disappointment in her tone. After all, with a guy like Chen Haoxuan—handsome, gentlemanly, wealthy, and talented—which girl wouldn't want him?
"I haven't seen anyone more beautiful than her," Chen Haoxuan praised Chen Yina highly.
Chen Haoxuan and Xu Muqing were having a great conversation when Li Ping arrived. She came to ask where Chen Haoxuan wanted the tables set up. Chen Haoxuan instructed her to place the food on several stone tables behind the villa. Those tables were specifically arranged by him for Jiang Dong and the others to eat at; they were long enough to seat over a hundred people.
After bringing the tourists to the villa's back area, Chen Haoxuan saw the long stone tables filled with an array of delicious dishes against a beautiful backdrop. The tourists couldn't help but think that the life of the wealthy was indeed different.
Jiang Dong and his group had already taken their seats at the stone tables but hadn't started eating yet; they were waiting for Chen Haoxuan. When they saw him arrive, Jiang Dong shouted loudly, standing at attention. All the security guards immediately stood up in unison, exuding a military aura that intimidated the tourists. "Boss!" they called out in unison.
"Why are there soldiers here?" Xu Muqing asked in surprise. Since Jiang Dong and his team wore camouflage uniforms during training and had robust physiques from their military backgrounds, it was easy for Xu Muqing to associate them with soldiers.
"They're veterans now working as security for me," Chen Haoxuan explained with a smile. Afterward, he waved at Jiang Dong and the others and said, "No need for formalities; everyone sit down and enjoy your meal!"
Beside Chen Haoxuan, Xu Muqing asked, "They aren't just ordinary soldiers, are they?" From the aura emitted by Jiang Dong and his companions, Xu Muqing concluded that they were either combat troops or special forces; otherwise, they wouldn't exude such an imposing presence.
"They're all ordinary veterans. The difference is that they train in martial arts with me every day, which makes them seem extraordinary," Chen Haoxuan explained.
"It seems you're not an ordinary businessman," Xu Muqing remarked with admiration.
"Let's not talk about that anymore; let's eat!" Chen Haoxuan said with a smile.
During the meal, Xu Muqing's chopsticks trembled. They had just met Chen Haoxuan, yet he treated them to such a lavish feast—lobster, braised pork, steamed fish, and poached chicken... and they were drinking wine worth thousands of yuan. Xu Muqing estimated that the total cost of the food and wine would be at least several tens of thousands of Renminbi.
Li Ping's cooking skills had improved tremendously compared to before. Now, whenever she had free time, she would study cookbooks and learn one dish after another. As a result, Jiang Dong and the others enjoyed a variety of dishes every day, living better than many wealthy people.
As for the money for groceries, Li Ping no longer asked Chen Haoxuan for reimbursement. After all, he had given her One Hundred Million RMB last time, and since Chen Haoxuan was her future son-in-law, she felt embarrassed to ask him for money again. The reason she used to ask for reimbursement was that she was genuinely poor back then; without asking Chen Haoxuan for help, she couldn't even afford to buy groceries.
Not long after finishing the meal, Xu Muqing took the tourists away. Chen Haoxuan then got back to his work. Today, he had two little followers—Chen Xiumin and Chen Feng. Chen Haoxuan had promised to make them clothes, and they were eager to get their new outfits, so they followed him closely.
Since Chen Feng was a student, Chen Haoxuan designed casual wear for him in white. When he put on his new clothes, Chen Feng transformed into a charming young gentleman.
