Zhang Tianqi is diligently working on his All-Purpose Phone while Chen Haoxuan is focused on his Clothing Factory. He believes that the profits from his Clothing Factory will be no less than those from the All-Purpose Phone because he caters to wealthy clients. His clothes are currently priced at fifteen thousand Renminbi each; however, if they become popular, he can continuously raise the price—higher and higher—until everyone knows that the clothes made by Chen Haoxuan are a symbol of noble status.
Chen Haoxuan is busy making clothes in Chen Family Village and is unaware of what is happening in New City. Currently, New City is experiencing numerous theft incidents, with more than ten occurring daily. The thieves are very cunning; they never engage in battles they cannot win. They operate almost like an organization, with some watching for trouble, others transporting stolen goods, and some carrying out the thefts.
Li De, the chief of New City’s police department, has dispatched numerous officers in plain clothes to stake out busy areas. After several days of effort, they managed to catch two thieves responsible for some of the thefts; however, the others escaped. Under questioning from Li De, those two thieves stubbornly refused to reveal who their mastermind was. When soft tactics failed, Li De resorted to harsher methods and personally dealt with them severely, but he was still left disappointed as they remained tight-lipped.
In fact, all this chaos was orchestrated by Black Heart Gang's leader, Black Heart. After failing to kidnap Chen Haoxuan, he attracted a large number of police officers searching for him. Furious about this setback, he sought revenge. Every day he sent his subordinates out to "work" (which meant stealing) while reminding them where it was safe to operate.
After several days without any of his men being caught by the police, Black Heart became arrogant and often boasted in front of his subordinates that today’s police were incompetent. He treated revenge like a game and sent many subordinates out daily as if trying to steal all the money from New City's citizens.
As a result of these events, Li De faced numerous reprimands from the mayor for failing to catch even a few petty thieves. If he couldn’t make any arrests within a month, he would be dismissed from his position.
Li De suspects Black Heart is behind it all since Black Heart is known for such petty crimes as the leader of Black Heart Gang. He desperately wants to capture Black Heart for questioning but finds it frustrating that Black Heart seems to have vanished without a trace. Although Li De cannot find him anywhere, he feels as though Black Heart is always watching him—a strange feeling that leaves him uncertain about its reality.
Chen Haoxuan was busy in Chen Family Village, unaware of the events happening in New City. If he had known, he would have certainly helped Li De strategize, as he could not allow those who wished to harm him to roam freely outside.
On September 15th, Chen Haoxuan drove to New City, bringing along a hundred pieces of clothing. With a magnetic sound, his BMW stopped in front of Jiang Xianghan's Clothing Store. Chen Haoxuan got out of the car and shouted loudly at the store, "Sister Han, I'm here!"
The graceful figure of Jiang Xianghan quickly appeared before Chen Haoxuan. Upon seeing him, her first words were not a greeting but rather, "Where are my goods?"
Chen Haoxuan feigned innocence and said pitifully, "You only care about the goods and not about me. I'm feeling so sad right now!"
Jiang Xianghan walked up to Chen Haoxuan, patted his chest, and laughed, "Alright, alright! Stop pretending. I don't know about others, but you... I know you too well. If you really felt sad, it would be because you like me. Enough joking around; tell me how many pieces of clothing you brought today."
Chen Haoxuan held up one finger.
"A hundred pieces?" Jiang Xianghan exclaimed in surprise.
"Yes, half of them are for women and half for men," Chen Haoxuan replied with a smile.
"Wow, Xuan brother, you're amazing! Sister loves you so much," Jiang Xianghan said happily. In her excitement, she hugged Chen Haoxuan's head and kissed him several times.
Chen Haoxuan covered his lips that had been kissed by Jiang Xianghan and muttered repeatedly, "What a loss... what a loss..."
Seeing Chen Haoxuan acting coy after receiving such affection, Jiang Xianghan playfully slapped his shoulder and teased, "Look at you, taking advantage and still pretending to be wronged."
"Alright! I won't pretend anymore. I brought quite a lot of goods this time; can you send your staff over to help me carry them?" Chen Haoxuan said.
After all the goods were moved into the Jiang Xianghan Clothing Store, Chen Haoxuan immediately left. His Clothing Factory had just expanded production, and there were many matters that needed his attention.
Not long after Chen Haoxuan's car left the Jiang Xianghan Clothing Store, he saw a Blonde Girl desperately chasing after a boy in front of him. The Blonde Girl was continuously shouting in English, "Help! Help...!"
Chen Haoxuan felt that the voice sounded familiar. He didn't have time to think about who the owner of the voice was; he wanted to help the girl catch the thief. Chen Haoxuan stepped on the gas pedal, and the car sped forward quickly.
