"Alright! I'll take you back," Chen Feng said dejectedly.
Chen Feng pushed his father's motorcycle out of the yard, with Qian Xiaozhen following behind him.
Chen Feng sat on the motorcycle and turned to Qian Xiaozhen, who was looking at his brother-in-law Chen Haoxuan's villa, and shouted, "Xiaozhen, why aren't you getting on?"
Qian Xiaozhen rolled her eyes at Chen Feng. She pointed at Chen Haoxuan's villa and said reproachfully, "Just look at other people's homes and then look at yours. The difference is huge. I don't need to say more; you should feel it yourself."
"That's my brother-in-law's house! So what? My brother-in-law said that when those construction company people are less busy, he will build a factory and also build my family's villa, making one exactly like my brother-in-law's," Chen Feng said proudly.
"This is your brother-in-law's house?" Qian Xiaozhen exclaimed in surprise. She had come here on the motorcycle with Chen Feng and had thought that this luxurious villa belonged to him. She didn't realize that the place Chen Feng brought her to was not the villa but a shabby Tile House next to it, built from yellow earth. She felt like she had fallen from heaven to hell. Now hearing Chen Feng say that the luxurious villa belonged to his brother-in-law made her wonder if what he said about his family being wealthy was true.
"Yes! This villa was just built this year. In China, this is the most luxurious villa. I heard my brother-in-law say that it cost him over ten million Renminbi," Chen Feng explained.
"Over... over ten million Renminbi? How much is that?" Qian Xiaozhen asked in astonishment. Her parents earned only a few thousand Renminbi a month and saved very little throughout the year. If they were to save ten million Renminbi, it would take them several lifetimes.
"Yes! My mom also said that when those construction company people have time, she will build a villa worth over ten million Renminbi too. Then our family can live in a villa as well," Chen Feng said excitedly.
"Can you take me to see your brother-in-law's house?" Qian Xiaozhen asked eagerly.
"Of course," Chen Feng replied as he parked the motorcycle.
Chen Feng took Qian Xiaozhen into Chen Haoxuan's home. As they approached the entrance, Chen Feng told the security guard on duty, "She is my girlfriend; I'm taking her to meet my brother-in-law." Chen Feng knew that if he didn't introduce Qian Xiaozhen's identity, the security guard wouldn't let her in.
Qian Xiaozhen was so surprised! Living in a villa, with two security guards stationed at the entrance, this was definitely impressive. As she stepped into the villa, she heard laughter and chatter coming from inside, as if many people were training. Curious, Qian Xiaozhen quickly took a few steps forward and asked Chen Feng, "Xiao Feng, why is there so much laughter here? Is someone training?"
"Oh, those are the security guards my brother-in-law hired. They train behind the villa every day," Chen Feng explained.
"Can we go take a look?" Qian Xiaozhen asked eagerly. Just imagine how wealthy Chen Feng's brother-in-law must be to employ so many security guards.
"Sure!" Chen Feng seemed to really like Qian Xiaozhen; he had never refused her requests. After all, Qian Xiaozhen was the school beauty, and he had secretly admired her for a long time. However, she had never shown interest in him until he became wealthy and started living a rich person's life, which made her start to develop feelings for him.
Recently, he had asked Chen Haoxuan to design two outfits for him. When he appeared at school wearing clothes designed by Chen Haoxuan, it caused quite a stir. Qian Xiaozhen even took the initiative to get closer to him. Despite having many girls pursuing him, Chen Feng only had eyes for the one girl he could never have—Qian Xiaozhen. To be honest, Qian Xiaozhen's current status didn't match up to Chen Feng's; after all, he was the brother-in-law of a billionaire.
Chen Feng led Qian Xiaozhen to the back of the villa, where she saw Lin Hao and the others training hard, drenched in sweat. They looked very impressive and formidable—over thirty security guards! They needed to train every day; these were not ordinary security guards because she had never seen such tough ones before.
Watching Lin Hao and the others train from a corner, Qian Xiaozhen asked Chen Feng, "What is their salary?"
"I think it's around four to five thousand yuan. If they perform well, with bonuses included, they can earn five to six thousand a month. Oh, my brother-in-law even has competitions among them; whoever wins gets rewarded with tens of thousands of yuan," Chen Feng explained.
"Five to six thousand yuan? My parents' salaries as senior white-collar workers can't even compare to these lowly security guards?" Qian Xiaozhen thought to herself, realizing how much worse off her family was than she had previously believed.
"Let's go meet your brother-in-law," Qian Xiaozhen said to Chen Feng.
Chen Feng took Qian Xiaozhen into the villa and up to the second floor. He saw Chen Haoxuan playing games with Zhou Kexin and others and shouted loudly, "Brother Xuan, I'm here!" He liked to call Chen Haoxuan his brother-in-law in front of others but still habitually called him Brother Xuan when they were together since that was what he had gotten used to calling him since childhood.
Hearing the shout, Chen Haoxuan turned around and said, "Xiao Feng, you're here! Come join us. By the way, who is that girl next to you?"
"Brother-in-law, this is my girlfriend, Qian Xiaozhen," Chen Feng introduced.
"Wow, Xiao Feng, you're impressive! You have such a beautiful girlfriend," Chen Haoxuan said happily to Chen Feng. Chen Feng was his future brother-in-law, and he was genuinely happy for him. Chen Haoxuan took a closer look at Qian Xiaozhen; she had fair skin, an oval face, large eyes, and lightly tinted lips with a touch of light blue lipstick. She wore a delicate silver necklace and stood about one meter sixty tall. Chen Haoxuan thought she was a notch below Zhou Kexin and the others.
"Brother Xuan, please don't tease me; I'll get embarrassed," Chen Feng said, scratching the back of his head awkwardly.
Chen Haoxuan waved to Chen Feng and Qian Xiaozhen, saying, "Don't just stand there! Come sit over here; let's play some games together. It's more fun with more people!"
Chen Feng pulled Qian Xiaozhen to sit next to Chen Haoxuan. Qian Xiaozhen occasionally stole glances at Chen Haoxuan, feeling thrilled inside as she thought, "The real Chen Haoxuan is even better looking than in the photos! I can't believe I'm sitting next to him! Wow, I'm so excited!"
Chen Haoxuan was playing a game with Hua Lingwei using the remote control. He turned to Chen Feng and said, "Xiao Feng, serve your girlfriend!"
"Oh," Chen Feng replied. He picked up a bottle of red wine that was in front of Chen Haoxuan, took a clean wine glass, poured half a glass of red wine, and handed it to Qian Xiaozhen. "Xiao Zhen, try this red wine; it's really good."
Qian Xiaozhen did not take the wine glass but instead grabbed the bottle of red wine from Chen Feng's hand. Seeing the bottle shocked her; she recognized it as a wine she had seen once before—this was worth ten thousand Renminbi! She couldn't believe that Chen Haoxuan was treating it like a casual drink for guests; he was so generous!
