Chen Haoxuan walked towards the amusement park exit with Little One and Han Fenghua. He thought that Little One's aunt must have sought help from the park security. He took Little One to the security room next to the exit, hoping to find her aunt there.
As Chen Haoxuan held one child's hand, he was stopped by a few police officers after just a few steps.
"You all...?" Chen Haoxuan recognized these officers; they had participated in operations with him when dealing with criminals.
"Mr. Chen, how is this girl with you?" Ma Xiong Jian asked, bemused.
"Could her aunt have already called the police?" Chen Haoxuan replied in surprise.
"Yes, this girl's identity is quite special. Everyone at the police station has been dispatched to find her. Her aunt is currently waiting for news at the amusement park exit! I didn't expect her to be playing with you," Ma Xiong Jian said, shaking his head.
"Well... here's the thing. I brought my godson to the amusement park today, and when he saw her holding cotton candy, he wanted some. So I took him to buy it, and she followed us. She was looking at me with those big eyes, and I felt soft-hearted, so I bought her a cotton candy too. After that, she just stuck to me! Wherever I went, she went! When I noticed she hadn't gone back for a while, I asked her where her family was! That's when I found out she had sneaked out," Chen Haoxuan explained with a smile.
"Maybe it's because you're too likable to kids. The moment she saw you, she thought you were a good person and decided to stick with you. Alright, Mr. Chen, her aunt is waiting anxiously; let's hurry over!" Ma Xiong Jian said politely.
"I won't go; you take her to find her aunt! I still want to take my godson to have fun!" Chen Haoxuan replied.
Upon hearing the word "fun," Little One's eyes lit up. She understood Chen Haoxuan's words and wanted to play with him and Han Fenghua. To avoid being abandoned by Chen Haoxuan, she let go of his hand and tightly hugged his leg with both small arms, sweetly saying, "Uncle, Wenwen also wants to go play with you."
Han Fenghua, on Chen Haoxuan's left side, said in a cutesy voice to Little One, "Your aunt is looking for you. Mommy says that kids who sneak out will get their bottoms spanked."
Chen Haoxuan looked down at Little One and said, "Wenwen, your aunt is very worried about you right now. If you want to play with Uncle, first find your aunt and then let her bring you to find me; that would work!"
"Then Uncle must not go far!" Little One said earnestly while tilting her little head up at Chen Haoxuan.
"Okay, go find your aunt!" Chen Haoxuan smiled.
Ma Xiong Jian took Little One away while Chen Haoxuan took Han Fenghua to enjoy bumper cars and other safe yet fun games.
At the exit of the amusement park, Shen Ruyan saw a police officer leading her niece out, and she was overwhelmed with joy and tears: "Wenwen."
"Auntie." The Little One ran up to Shen Ruyan.
"Where did you go just now? Why didn't you wait for Auntie? You scared me!" Shen Ruyan scolded.
"Auntie wouldn't let Wenwen have Cotton Candy. Auntie is stingy, unlike Uncle, who is so nice and lets Wenwen eat anything," the Little One sweetly replied.
Li De quietly said to Ma Xiong Jian, "Is she Shen Wen?"
"Yes, I checked the photos. Although she looks different, those two little dimples on her cheeks are unmistakable," Ma Xiong Jian explained softly.
Upon hearing Shen Wen's words, Shen Ruyan immediately thought that whoever gave Shen Wen food must be a trafficker; many traffickers deceive children this way. How dare they trick her niece!
Shen Ruyan took her niece's small hand and approached Ma Xiong Jian, asking seriously, "Where did you find my niece?"
"Miss Shen, your niece was playing with Mr. Chen. When we found her, Mr. Chen was about to bring her to you! He knew we were here to help find your niece, so he asked me to bring her back," Ma Xiong Jian explained.
"What Mr. Chen? I see him as a fraud. When he saw you police arrive, he pretended to be a good person. If you hadn't come, he would have definitely taken my niece away. What kind of police are you that can't even tell good from bad? I'm giving you four hours! If you haven't caught that trafficker in four hours, all of you can pack up and leave!" Shen Ruyan shouted angrily, unaware that the Mr. Chen Ma Xiong Jian mentioned was actually Chen Haoxuan. If she had known, she wouldn't have suspected him of being a trafficker.
"Miss Shen, you're mistaken. The Mr. Chen I'm talking about is Chen Haoxuan; he's a billionaire and a well-known figure. How could he be a trafficker?" Shen Ruyan yelled at Ma Xiong Jian, but he remained polite in explaining, simply because Shen Ruyan was someone who could even command their chief.
"Chen Haoxuan? Are you sure?" Shen Ruyan exclaimed in surprise; she couldn't believe her niece had been with Chen Haoxuan all along.
"Yes, I've spoken with him and participated in operations against criminals together, so we're acquaintances. He is definitely not a trafficker," Ma Xiong Jian assured her.
"It seems I owe him a favor," Shen Ruyan thought to herself.
"Alright, my niece has been found. Thank you for your help, you can go back now," Shen Ruyan said to Li De and the others.
After Li De and the others left, Shen Wen sweetly said to Shen Ruyan, "Auntie, Uncle said he wants you to take Wenwen to play with him. Auntie, let's hurry and go now."
"Wait... does Chen Haoxuan know that she is Shen Wen's aunt? No matter, I can't miss any opportunity to get close to Chen Haoxuan," Shen Ruyan thought to herself.
"You guide me, and I'll carry you to find him," Shen Ruyan said to her niece, worried that her niece would slip away from her again.
The amusement park was too large, and after a long time of carrying her niece, Shen Ruyan still couldn't find Chen Haoxuan. Without finding him, her niece buried her head in Shen Ruyan's arms and cried, repeatedly saying that Uncle didn't want her anymore.
Finally, Shen Ruyan took out her phone. She was sent by the Dragon Group to investigate Chen Haoxuan, so she knew everything about him, including his phone number.
"Hello, is this Chen Haoxuan?" Shen Ruyan said gently.
"Yes, it is. May I ask who you are?" came Chen Haoxuan's curious voice from the other end of the line.
"I'm Shen Ruyan. You were playing with a little girl today; that's my niece. Where are you now? I would like to thank you in person."
