The three of them took Chen Haoxuan on a tour around Kyoto University. After exploring Kyoto University, they took him to other places for fun, such as riding a seaplane and visiting buildings with up to sixty floors for the view.
Chen Haoxuan planned to spend a few crazy days with them. During the day, he accompanied them on various outings, and at night they either went to karaoke or bars to drink and dance, or went shopping.
Two days passed quickly. On Sunday afternoon, Chen Haoxuan parted ways with them and returned to his residence in New City, only to find that his place had been demolished. To be precise, the roof of his residence had been torn off, and everything inside had been dismantled. His desktop computer was missing, as were the interference devices; all valuable items in his home were gone, including the clothes that Chen Yina had left in the wardrobe.
Standing in front of the ruins, Chen Haoxuan shouted, "Who did this?"
Shen Ruyan knew that Chen Haoxuan would return that afternoon. Hearing his furious shout, she stepped out from the debris and said to him, "Your place was torn down around two o'clock on Saturday morning by a large group of people. Look at those two excavators over there; they were used to demolish your house. They sawed a door out from the window with a power saw and then went in to steal your computer. After that, they used the excavators to rip off your roof and kept taking pictures of your setup. Eventually, they dismantled your setup entirely; even the steel plates underneath were dug up.
I suspect they came specifically for your technology and setup; otherwise, why would they make such a big fuss? By the way, after those people left your house, some thieves went in and stole things. All your valuables were taken. We only caught three thieves; two more are still being apprehended. I heard all this from Director Li De.
I suspect that it was Abel and her group who demolished your place because only they knew about your setup's existence, and only they would want to kill you," Shen Ruyan explained the situation to Chen Haoxuan.
"What about the landlord? It's his house, and he lives so close; he must have heard it. Why didn't he do anything?" Chen Haoxuan asked.
"He did try to intervene, but those people were brutal; they crippled the landlord. He is currently in critical condition," Shen Ruyan replied.
Chen Haoxuan took out a checkbook and wrote a check for one million Renminbi to Shen Ruyan, saying, "Please give this one million Renminbi to the landlord for me; I won't go myself as I have other matters to attend to."
Seeing Chen Haoxuan about to leave, Shen Ruyan wanted to stop him: "Hey, where are you going? Can I come with you?"
Chen Haoxuan did not respond to her question. Instead, he pulled out his phone and dialed Yang Lin's number: "Hello, Yang Lin? It's me, Chen Haoxuan. I want to ask if Abel and Meihiko have returned."
"They're back; they returned on Saturday during the day. That's what the security guard on duty told me," Yang Lin's voice came through the phone.
"Can you find out where they are now?" Chen Haoxuan asked.
"Just a moment; I'll check for you," Yang Lin replied.
Twenty minutes later, Chen Haoxuan had arrived at New City University. At that moment, Yang Lin called to say that Abel and the others were not at New City University; they had left early that morning.
Chen Haoxuan believed Yang Lin's words, turned around, and drove his car to a lively area to look around. Although he did not find Abel and the others, he did come across Yeh Hsiao-Nuo, the Boss Lady.
Yeh Hsiao-Nuo was dressed in a black shirt and black trousers, topped with a long coat. She looked majestic and cool. From what she was carrying, it seemed she was out shopping. Chen Haoxuan drove over, rolled down the window, and shouted, "Yeh Hsiao-Nuo!"
Yeh Hsiao-Nuo sensed someone calling her name. She looked around but did not see anyone. Just then, someone called her again. Following the sound, she spotted Chen Haoxuan. "Hey, Chen Haoxuan," she said happily as she waved at him.
Chen Haoxuan parked by the roadside, opened the car door, and gestured for Yeh Hsiao-Nuo to get in.
Yeh Hsiao-Nuo hopped into the passenger seat and cheerfully said to Chen Haoxuan, "Chen Haoxuan, it's been a while! I didn't expect to run into you here."
"Yeah, I didn't expect to have such fate with you either. I was looking for someone else but ended up finding you," Chen Haoxuan joked.
"Who are you looking for? Do you need my help?" Yeh Hsiao-Nuo asked.
"Not for now. If I still haven't found them by tomorrow, I'll come to you for help," Chen Haoxuan replied.
"Chen Haoxuan, do you know that my dad was furious about you encouraging my brother to confess to Shen Ruyan? I heard from the cleaner that my dad flipped two tables in anger. If you don't want to help my brother... just don't help him. Otherwise, if my dad gets really mad, he might kill you," Yeh Hsiao-Nuo warned.
"I want to explain; that day I really didn't expect it to turn out like this. I genuinely wanted to help your brother confess to Shen Ruyan, but unexpectedly, Shen Ruyan said she liked me just to get away from your brother's pursuit. I don’t know what Shen Ruyan was thinking; I already have a girlfriend and yet she acted like this," Chen Haoxuan explained.
"I heard that Shen Ruyan chased after you that day. I wonder if she caught up with you?" Yeh Hsiao-Nuo asked curiously.
"She went straight to my house. Don't get me wrong; she actually wanted to escape. So when she saw me running away, she pretended to chase after me," Chen Haoxuan clarified.
"Okay, I believe you," Yeh Hsiao-Nuo said.
"Thank you, where are you going? I'll take you," Chen Haoxuan said to Yeh Hsiao-Nuo.
"I bought some things and was just about to head back. I didn't expect to run into you. Just take me home!" Yeh Hsiao-Nuo replied.
Chen Haoxuan drove Yeh Hsiao-Nuo back to her villa. "We're here," he said as he parked the car in front of her villa.
"You rarely come over, so why not come in for a bit?" Yeh Hsiao-Nuo invited.
"Is that really okay? After all, I caused your brother so much trouble recently," Chen Haoxuan replied awkwardly.
"It's fine; he stays at school and doesn't live here," Yeh Hsiao-Nuo said, looking at Chen Haoxuan with anticipation.
"Alright then!" Chen Haoxuan agreed.
Yeh Hsiao-Nuo got out of the car and opened the iron gate of the villa, allowing Chen Haoxuan to drive in. After he parked, he followed her inside.
"Hey, you're back! Chen Haoxuan, why are you with my sister? Tell me, are you trying to deceive her feelings?" Ye Hongfei had just finished dinner and came to his sister's villa to borrow some pocket money. He heard the sound of the door opening, and soon his sister appeared. But as soon as he called out to her, he saw Chen Haoxuan.
