Chen Haoxuan was continuously giving lessons in the garden, while Shen Ruyan felt like a bride on her wedding night, attending class for the first time in Chen Haoxuan's classroom. However, the groom had left and did not look back, leaving her alone in an empty room.
"Chen Haoxuan has been gone for so long, why hasn't he returned? He wouldn't have tricked me into leaving, would he?" Shen Ruyan thought to herself.
Shen Ruyan continued to wait, but by the time the second class started, Chen Haoxuan still hadn't come back. She decided she couldn't wait any longer; she needed to find Chen Haoxuan. It was truly unreasonable for him to leave her hanging.
New City University wasn't very large, and she quickly found her way to the garden. Not far away, she saw Chen Haoxuan chatting with Wang Fuyou and others. Upon seeing this scene, her first suspicion was that Chen Haoxuan was again discussing how to pursue her with Wang Fuyou and the others. "No way, I need to cause some trouble. If you give me a hard time, I'll return the favor," Shen Ruyan thought determinedly.
Shen Ruyan walked over to where Chen Haoxuan was: "Chen Haoxuan, so this is where you are! You didn't even say a word when you came here; I searched for you for so long. Oh! Wang Fuyou, you're here too!" Shen Ruyan sat down next to Chen Haoxuan, wrapping her arms around his arm, their appearance radiating warmth.
As Shen Ruyan hugged Chen Haoxuan's arm, he could feel her soft chest pressing against his arm.
"Ruyan, you!!" Gong Sun Xuan exclaimed but then fell silent. He didn't know what else to say; Shen Ruyan wasn't anyone special to him. Why should he stop her from hugging Chen Haoxuan? Gong Sun Xuan was a selfish person who found it hard to accept others; seeing his beloved in such close proximity with someone else made him feel uncomfortable.
"Shen Ruyan, if you keep taking advantage of me like this, I might just retaliate," Chen Haoxuan warned lightly.
"What do you plan to do? Do you want to touch me or kiss me?" Shen Ruyan sweetly leaned against Chen Haoxuan's chest, drawing circles on his chest with one finger.
"When did Shen Ruyan become like this? Is this still the Shen Ruyan I know?" Wang Fuyou and the others were puzzled.
Chen Haoxuan felt a surge of anger! If it weren't for Wang Fuyou and the others being present, he would have definitely slipped his hand under Shen Ruyan's clothes to see if she would still pretend to be his girlfriend.
Chen Haoxuan pulled Shen Ruyan's hand away and gently pushed her aside before standing up. He addressed Wang Fuyou and the others: "She's just trying to provoke you; don't give up. Once you manage to win her over in the future, she'll treat you like that too."
Chen Haoxuan's words were music to Wang Fuyou and the others.
Shen Ruyan, listening to Chen Haoxuan, couldn't help but complain in her heart, "You dead Chen Haoxuan, no wonder Wang Fuyou and the others never give up; it turns out you've been encouraging them all along. Hmph, you think I'm pretending? Even if I am, I will make them believe it's real."
Suddenly, Shen Ruyan stood up, wrapped her arms around Chen Haoxuan's head, and tiptoed to kiss him on the lips.
Boom! Wang Fuyou and the others felt as if thunder had struck in their minds. On a clear day, their beloved Shen Ruyan actually kissed Chen Haoxuan, and it was initiated by her! It was even a French kiss. Were they trying to drive them crazy? If she wanted to kiss, she could do it somewhere else! Why did it have to be in front of them? Didn't she know it would break their hearts?
After being kissed by Shen Ruyan, Chen Haoxuan instinctively opened his mouth in surprise. This allowed Shen Ruyan to take the opportunity to deepen the kiss.
Chen Haoxuan stood there dazed as Shen Ruyan kissed him for several minutes. After five minutes, Shen Ruyan released him and shyly said, "I will take responsibility for you." With that, she turned and left.
What was this? She forcefully kissed him and then said she would take responsibility?
"Chen! Could it be that Shen Ruyan really likes you?" Wang Fuyou asked Chen Haoxuan with a conflicted expression.
"Boss, I have a girlfriend. So even if she likes me, I won't like her back. You guys can pursue her without worry!" Chen Haoxuan reassured Wang Fuyou and the others.
"If one day Shen Ruyan becomes my wife, when I kiss her, I will definitely think of her kissing other men. What should I do about that?" Gong Sun Xuan seemed to hesitate; he wanted someone who loved him wholeheartedly and didn't want his beloved to have feelings for other men.
"I don't really care about that, but it still feels awkward," Wang Fuyou said with a conflicted expression.
"I don't mind either, as long as she doesn't sleep with Chen Haoxuan or get too intimate with him. Because when we go out to have fun, don't we often kiss and hug those girls?" Ye Hongfei had an open-minded attitude similar to his sister's.
"I don't know why she suddenly acted like that," Chen Haoxuan said awkwardly.
"Chen Haoxuan, I really envy you. If Shen Ruyan could kiss me like she kissed you, I would be the happiest person alive. Unlike you! You got kissed by Shen Ruyan and still look so aggrieved. I really want to be jealous of you," Wang Fuyou said sourly to Chen Haoxuan.
Chen Haoxuan laughed at Wang Fuyou's words, "Hehe... I don't know if you've heard this saying: as long as a woman can have children, she's a good woman. So don't set your standards too high. Shen Ruyan is beautiful, but she will grow old! Who knows, she might become very ugly when she gets old."
What Chen Haoxuan didn't know was that Shen Ruyan hadn't actually left; she was hiding behind a lush tree. Hearing Chen Haoxuan's words made her grit her teeth in anger. She kept cursing Chen Haoxuan in her heart for taking advantage of her and then acting innocent. Shen Ruyan regretted her impulsive decision to give away her first kiss, especially since it was forced upon the other person. It made her feel embarrassed; how could a beautiful woman like her have to force someone to accept her first kiss? Who would believe that?
After comforting Wang Fuyou and the others for a while, Chen Haoxuan left. He hadn't walked far when he saw Shen Ruyan, who was glaring at him angrily. "Chen Haoxuan, come with me."
"What for? Where are we going? Hey, don't pull me like that! It's not good if someone sees us! If you don't let go, I'm going to shout harassment!" Chen Haoxuan shouted repeatedly.
Shen Ruyan ignored Chen Haoxuan's protests and forcibly dragged him to the rooftop of the teaching building. The rooftop had always been locked because the school was worried about students getting into dangerous situations up there. However, Shen Ruyan knew how to pick locks; with a small tool, she quickly opened the lock.
Once on the rooftop, Shen Ruyan pulled Chen Haoxuan aside and said coyly, "Did I offend you, Chen Haoxuan? Do you know that teaching Wang Fuyou and the others makes things very difficult for me? I'm afraid of hurting them but can't accept their feelings. Tell me, if you were me, what would you do?"
