The day before going abroad, I was stopped by Zhou Jinhua.

I continued to look at her, "Just because you like someone who likes another person, does that make you unforgivable?"
Zeng Jia, embarrassed and angry, shot back, "Chen Lan, you are the third party!"
I shook my head, "Zeng Jia, I’m not the third party. I just like someone who likes you, and since you don’t cherish him, why shouldn’t I try to pursue him?"
Zeng Jia clenched her fists and stared at me intensely.
"Chen Lan, Zhou Jinhua likes me!"
I chuckled lightly, "Zeng Jia, stop deceiving yourself. If you were truly confident, you wouldn’t have come to find me today."
Zeng Jia's face turned pale; she opened her mouth as if to argue with me.
I tossed the black piece into the trash can. "Zeng Jia, you're out."
Zeng Jia trembled all over, her eyes wide with shock as she looked at me.
"Zeng Jia, I had already won when you rejected Zhou Jinhua's first confession."
"If it weren't to break Zhou Jinhua's illusion of you, I wouldn't waste my time on you."
Zeng Jia is not smart; on the contrary, she is very greedy. She enjoys the vanity of being envied by everyone. While she is stringing along Zhou Jinhua, she cannot let go of another person. In the end, she ends up with neither. From beginning to end, Zhou Jinhua was her most suitable choice. Unfortunately, she did not cherish it.
Zeng Jia became the new president of the student council in the election. However, within a day, she was exposed for having bought votes to win. At the birthday party, Zhou Jinhua proposed to me. He knelt on one knee, holding a rose in his left hand and a diamond ring in his right, his voice trembling. "Chen Lan, will you marry me?" With tears in my eyes, I reached out my hand. "I will." We embraced tightly, celebrating this beautiful moment. Zhou Jinhua's parents and my Adoptive Father were watching us with joy in their eyes, tears glistening. Except for my Adoptive Father; he was not happy at all. On the way home, he found me.
"Lanlan, stop it."
My Adoptive Father advised me earnestly, "You have already found happiness; why cling to the past?"
I calmly replied, "Dad, there's no going back."
Hatred surged in my eyes: "From the day I decided to take revenge on the the Zhou, I had no way out."
In the year I graduated from college, I held a wedding with Zhou Jinhua.
The wedding was grand and spectacular.
To put it mildly, for the next twenty years, no one would surpass the luxury of this wedding.
From the wedding procession to the decoration of the wedding car, and to the arrangement of the wedding venue, everything was exquisite and perfect.
My Adoptive Father placed my hand into Zhou Jinhua's hand, solemnly, cautiously, and with reluctance.
"Zhou Jinhua, I entrust my daughter to you."
Zhou Jinhua nodded firmly, "Don't worry, Dad."
