"Alright then," my mom finally agreed.
In the end, I used my savings to buy a small two-bedroom apartment close to my office outright. My parents learned their lesson from this incident and no longer pressured me to get married. Instead, they advised me to be discerning when meeting suitable partners and not rush into giving up my boundaries like last time.
To celebrate my successful home purchase, Zheng Miaomiao and I decided to take a vacation. Before the trip, Zheng Miaomiao and I had already become close friends who could talk about anything. She told me that after being dumped by Zeng Guoqiang, she secretly collected evidence of his infidelity from his friend list.
