The wind howled as Bu's speed was incredibly fast, almost covering the distance to the entrance of the cave in just a few strides. Meanwhile, Hong Lian's figure darted like red lightning, luring the enraged Two-Headed Lizard King Beast deeper in the opposite direction.
At this moment, however, the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast was completely berserk. Under its energy aura, the air seemed to turn into a quagmire. The ground erupted with stone shards as dust and debris filled the air, creating an atmosphere akin to being trapped in a vacuum. This pressure was comparable to eight times gravity. Although Bu could withstand it, he was caught off guard by this sudden weight and bent over sharply, with his legs sinking deep into the ground below his knees.
The sudden turn of events happened too quickly; even Eve, who was waiting at the cave entrance with anticipation for Bu's arrival, stood frozen in shock. Only Hong Lian, who shared a mental connection with Bu, reacted swiftly and rushed over to help. At that moment, all four skills from his Destruction Set activated simultaneously. His muscles swelled as energy surged within him; from his Storage Bracelet, the Taiyuan Spear flew into his hand.
"Blood Wings!" With a roar, Bu thrust his spear upward as his legs sprang free from the ground. As his blood boiled over, the second stage of Bloodline Transformation activated, and a pair of eerie blood-red bone wings suddenly unfurled from his back.
With blood-red eyes, the energy within Bu roared and surged wildly, converging towards the spear in his hand. A crescent spear light, nearly three yards wide, suddenly took shape amidst the endless brilliance, crashing violently against the massive claw of the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast that had reached out.
Crack! Like the explosive sound of lightning rubbing together, the enormous front claw of the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast crushed the giant crescent spear light with an unstoppable terrifying force, maintaining its speed as it collided with Bu's sweeping strike.
Clang! The spear trembled violently, the sound of metal ringing out continuously. The giant claw of the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast showed no signs of stopping, directly slamming down onto the spear and then crashing into Bu's body. The blade-like claws pierced through him, nearly tearing him apart, and a tremendous force erupted, sending several blood arrows flying as Bu's body was blasted away like a cannonball.
"Bu!" Eve's face turned pale in an instant. She could no longer care about anything else and rushed towards the direction where Bu had been sent flying.
However, this time the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast had learned its lesson, not giving Bu any chance to escape by using its strength. Although the force of that claw strike was fierce, it was also skillfully aimed to knock Bu away from the cave entrance, precisely towards where Hong Lian was rushing in from. Even though Eve intended to catch him, she found it difficult to get close in time.
Hong Lian's expression was cold as she caught Bu's body just before it was struck by the tail of the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast. With a loud thud, Bu's backward momentum was abruptly halted. The two figures almost separated immediately upon contact, but Hong Lian spun around sharply and hurled Bu towards Eve.
Blood sprayed through the air as Bu's chest, abdomen, and left rib were punctured by the claws of the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast. These three wounds appeared large but were disproportionate to the beast's thick claws. This was entirely due to Bu managing to use the forbidden technique Transform Void at the last moment, allowing his body to enter a state of phasing and rendering him immune to all substantial attacks.
However, Transform Void was a powerful high-level forbidden technique at level six. Without mental support, its effectiveness was greatly diminished when used with mental power alone. Thus, even after entering a phasing state, Bu still sustained injuries; fortunately, these injuries were weakened enough by Transform Void that they were not fatal, allowing him to escape disaster.
Seeing its prey being knocked away yet again attempting to flee, the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast would not allow it to succeed. With a flap of its wings, its massive body turned like a dark cloud and suddenly intercepted Bu's path.
In a flash, Bu gritted his teeth and twisted his body mid-air. With his Blood Wings flapping behind him, he arched his body and barely grazed past the gaping maw of the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast. The overwhelming stench mixed with a bloody wind made him break out in a cold sweat.
"Run!"
As he neared the ground, Bu quickly scooped up Eve who was leaping towards him. With their Blood Wings flapping rapidly, they raced towards the cave entrance.
Roar!
After repeated failures, the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast was thoroughly enraged by these seemingly insignificant fleas. Two bursts of vividly colored poisonous mist shot out like cannonballs, one after the other, fiercely aimed at the two individuals.
Just as it was about to leap forward again, the figure of Hong Lian suddenly appeared within sight. With a thunderous punch, an overwhelming energy erupted, striking directly at the left head with blinding brilliance.
Bang!
The ferocious punch, carrying immense force, left the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast dazed, even causing some of the hard scales on its forehead to show signs of cracking.
For the massive body of the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast, which measured over twenty feet in length, the damage from this punch was minimal; it didn't even break through the outer layer of scales, let alone cause any real injury. However, while it did not sustain any wounds, it successfully drew the wrath of the Two-Headed Lizard.
A flea that had never been taken seriously had repeatedly provoked it, and now dared to land a heavy punch on its head. This behavior completely drove the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast into a frenzy.
Its eyes turned blood-red once more; at this moment of provocation against the King Beast's authority, it lost all ability for rational thought. The only thought that remained was one of slaughter—destroying all challengers before it!
With a whoosh! The first green poisonous mist cloud was evaded by Bu as she activated Blood Wings and Agility. The toxic cloud struck the ground and exploded violently, transforming into a green fog that spread outwards. Wherever it passed, the ground hissed and emitted curling white smoke, appearing as if it had been corroded.
Eve's pupils contracted in shock as she watched another pink poisonous mist rapidly approaching, unable to suppress her startled scream.
Bu Mei furrowed her brow tightly, sensing the toxic mist closing in from behind. She quickly flapped her Blood Wings to dodge to the left.
Whoosh!
The sound of the wind swept by, and the poisonous mist brushed past. Bu let out a sigh of relief, just as he was about to move again. Unexpectedly, at that moment, the pink poisonous mist that had already flown several feet away suddenly exploded, enveloping the area like a rising tide.
"Not good!"
Startled, Bu activated Blood Wings and quickly retreated. However, his speed could not match the rapid spread of the pink mist.
In an instant, a strange fragrance filled the air, and both Bu and Eve vanished within the enveloping pink mist. At that moment, the peculiar scent caused them to hold their breath instinctively.
The anticipated corrosive pain from the toxic mist did not occur. Bu felt fortunate and held his breath as he hurried out of the mist's reach, pulling Eve along as they dashed into the cave entrance without pausing for a moment, leaving behind Hong Lian, who was still entangled with the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast.
"Bu, your brother hasn't come out yet."
Eve's face showed concern as she frequently looked back, nervously speaking to Bu.
"He'll be fine. As long as we get a little further away and are completely safe, he'll find a way to escape."
Bu was not worried about Hong Lian's safety at all. His Avatar was practically a tough wooden block, very resilient. Although the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast was strong, it would still be unable to kill Hong Lian.
