The cave echoed with constant rumbling, the roars of beasts startling. Hong Lian fought alone against the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast with bare hands. Although most of the time he was dodging and maneuvering, he could not evade every attack.
The powerful energy field distorted the void, equivalent to an undeveloped domain prototype. Under such suppression, Hong Lian's speed advantage could not be fully utilized. The Two-Headed Lizard King Beast unleashed a variety of offensive techniques, occasionally bombarding him with toxic mist, its two massive jaws snapping with incredible biting force, four sharp claws striking repeatedly, and a long, resilient tail waiting for an opportunity to strike. Even its pair of wings, resembling canopies, could transform into powerful attacks at any moment, creating an unending assault.
Under such intense pressure, Hong Lian found it nearly impossible to avoid all attacks. By the time he managed to retreat with Eve out of the cave's range, he had already endured over a dozen heavy blows.
The strength of magical beasts always surpassed that of human warriors of the same level. The Quasi-Advanced Two-Headed Lizard King Beast's attack power, while not quite on par with a High-Level Warrior, was still formidable. Enduring over a dozen attacks from the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast would have reduced any Intermediate-level warrior to nothing but scraps; only Hong Lian's unique physique allowed him to remain agile.
Boom!
A dull sound reverberated throughout the cave as another unavoidable collision occurred. Hong Lian's body spun in mid-air like a rotating top, dissipating much of the force and using that momentum to retreat rapidly.
His arms had swollen to two or three times their normal size, with purple-blue skin and bulging veins that looked ready to burst at a light touch. His fists were bloodied and mangled, with visible white bones at the joints of his fingers.
"It's time to withdraw!"
With a slight shift in thought, Hong Lian halted his retreat and activated Step Nine as he turned around, transforming into a streak of light racing toward the cave entrance.
Roar!
The Two-Headed Lizard King Beast roared angrily and flapped its wings in pursuit. Its massive body moved swiftly like a dark cloud rushing toward Hong Lian from above, covering the area with its energy field.
Transform Void!
In an instant, his figure blurred as his speed surged dramatically, moving as if there were no air resistance against his body—like a gust of wind, formless and weightless.
Using over eighty points of Mental Power to execute Transform Void allowed Hong Lian to achieve far greater effectiveness than when Step performed it. While Step could only partially utilize Transform Void for a very brief period, Hong Lian was able to reach a state where half of his body was transformed into void. The difference compared to achieving full Transform Void through mental consciousness was not too significant.
Having never used Transform Void in front of the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast before, its effects were immediately apparent upon execution. Hong Lian's body was completely free from the suppression of the energy field; he moved through it like a fish in water, his speed increasing rather than decreasing as he swiftly darted into the cave entrance.
Thunderous!
The beast's massive claws slammed down onto the ground like an excavator's shovel, producing a thunderous explosion that sent rocks flying like cannonballs and creating a huge pit. However, by then, Hong Lian had already vanished from sight.
The Two-Headed Lizard King Beast was furious. Its intelligence was not low, and it felt humiliated as its prey repeatedly escaped from its territory, fueling its murderous intent.
With a whoosh!
Its wings stirred up a fierce wind as the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast retracted its claws and charged into the cave entrance, roaring in relentless pursuit. Its crimson eyes were filled with rage and killing intent, crushing bones and shattering protruding rocks in its wake.
At Yin Mountain's midpoint, Bu and Eve had just shaken off seven or eight Two-Headed Lizards. Both looked disheveled, their cheeks flushed unnaturally, resembling a face over-applied with makeup, akin to a monkey's backside.
With a thud, they landed on the ground. Bu's Blood Wings, which had taken on a grotesque and fierce form behind him, slowly retracted. The blood-red hue in his eyes gradually faded, and his sharp fangs returned to normal canine teeth as the time limit for Bloodline Transformation had expired.
"Who would have thought that the poison mist from the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast would be so potent?" Bu gasped for breath, sweat beading on his forehead. He shook his head with a wry smile and gently lowered Eve's body, feeling parched.
Having been poisoned so severely along the way while holding a beautiful woman with captivating eyes in his arms, if it weren't for the relentless pursuit of seven or eight Two-Headed Lizards, Bu would have lost control of his beastly instincts. Although he was still holding on, his vision blurred around him, and it felt like a fire was raging within him, creating an urgent desire to release this pent-up energy!
"Bu, what should we do now?"
Standing on her own after being released from Bu's embrace, Eve felt her legs weaken as if she had lost all strength. A sensation akin to being steamed in a sauna made her feel shyly aroused. This desire mirrored the flush on her cheeks, which glowed like a blooming flower, her lips parting slightly as if she were hesitating between acceptance and refusal.
Bu was conflicted. With such a beauty in his arms, he was not Liu Xia Hui; even an ordinary person would find it hard to resist. Moreover, their current situation was extremely abnormal—one was dry kindling while the other was a raging fire; it was only a matter of who would lose control first and burn the other to ashes.
"First, let's find a place to rest and see if we can expel the toxins," Bu said with a slight tug at the corners of his mouth. A hint of heat flickered in his eyes; with Eve beside him exhaling like orchids, her alluring femininity intensified the flames rising within him.

Outside a secluded cave at Yin Mountain, poor Bear Dad and Mama Bear waited anxiously at the entrance. From within came rhythmic sounds that resembled enchanting music; each gasp and whimper from a woman quickened their heartbeats, causing both Old Bears to shyly lower their furry heads.
If bears could talk, Bear Dad would surely be frustrated and roar out loud: "Damn it! No money for an inn, so they resort to wild encounters in my den? They are worse than beasts!"
Of course, even if bears could speak, they wouldn't dare make a sound because on the other side of the cave sat a cold as ice Red-Robed Man silently guarding them. The malevolent aura emanating from him was enough to keep these two not-so-powerful but clever Ironback Bears silent.
At this moment, Hong Lian was also filled with pent-up frustration after being tricked by the Three-Eyed Elder Statue inside Water Moon Cave. She had planned to take away the White Bone Ghost Lotus for some interest before leaving but ended up getting poisoned by the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast instead.
If it were just an ordinary toxin, it would be fine. Even if detoxification were temporarily impossible, suppressing it wouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, this toxin is a particularly potent Spring Poison.
Spring Poison is neither entirely lethal nor entirely benign; it is one of the most perplexing toxins. The key issue is that if a Common Person is afflicted by this toxin, no one can suppress it for two or three days. Unfortunately, Bu has fallen victim to it.
Having failed to find a secluded cave with Eve, Bu was on the verge of losing his mind, his eyes red like a raging bull. Eve could barely move, leaning against Bu and almost stripping him bare under the sunlight. Meanwhile, Hong Lian was being relentlessly pursued by the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast down to the foot of the mountain.
Noticing that the situation was becoming increasingly dire for her main body, Hong Lian was nearly driven mad by the chase. Fortunately, after reaching the foot of the mountain, the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast seemed to have some reservations; after roaring angrily a few times, it turned and flew back to the mountaintop. This allowed Hong Lian to rush toward Bu's location, spreading her Mental Power in all directions and locking onto the cave of two Old Bears.
What followed was only natural; dry kindling ignited into flames. Among the three present—Bu and Eve were in high spirits while Hong Lian and the two Old Bears had faces as dark as soot.
No one wishes for such events to unfold when they are not in control of themselves; it feels like being forced into something. For Hong Lian, who shares a consciousness with Bu, she felt everything he experienced. Although her main body was dulled by the effects of Spring Poison, her Avatar was experiencing an overwhelming stimulation akin to being in a five-dimensional cinema—intensely immersive.
As for the two Old Bears, no creature enjoys being interrupted during intimate moments with their mate by an unexpected guest. They could tolerate seeing their den invaded but were furious at being ousted from their own home while others took over.
After a long while, following a low yet powerful roar from a male bear, the rhythmic sounds of primal activity in the dimly lit cave began to weaken.
The two Old Bears widened their eyes and perked up their ears. They exchanged glances before looking again at Hong Lian, who sat nearby with a slightly clearer expression. They collectively sighed in relief as their previously shrunken bear hearts swelled once more.
