"Alright." Third Brother didn't hold back, "Since Second Brother has said this much, I'll let these few go."
"Thank you, Second Brother."
"Second Brother, I won't understand. What’s so good about those high school students? Why do they deserve this from you?"
Brother Leopard just smiled and didn’t answer. Third Brother realized it was pointless to continue the conversation. Since he had already gained something, he waved his hand and said, "Let's go." If it weren't for the bloodstains left on the ground, people wouldn’t have known that such a scene had occurred here. Although the time was short, Brother Leopard's losses were substantial. Zhang Qiu understood clearly that since Third Brother could agree to this, the income from half of the market would certainly not be small.
Zhang Qiu walked up to Brother Leopard with a guilty expression and said softly, "Brother Leopard, I'm sorry." He had just joined in and already caused trouble for Brother Leopard, leading to his loss of half the market.
Brother Leopard looked coldly at Zhang Qiu, his expression serious and silent. As Abiao lunged at Zhang Qiu, Yang Yu quickly aimed a metal pipe at Abiao and shouted, "Put down Brother Qiu!" Gao Zhi and others followed Yang Yu's lead and raised their pipes. In an instant, Brother Leopard's men drew knives from their jackets, surrounding Zhang Qiu and his group. With just a command from Brother Leopard, they would turn these reckless fools into minced meat.
"Put everything down." Zhang Qiu didn’t want to see his Brothers get hurt.
Abiao shot a disdainful glance at Yang Yu; the scar on his face made him look even more menacing. He turned back to question Zhang Qiu: "Do you know how much Brother Leopard has lost because of your words?"
Zhang Qiu looked expressionlessly at Abiao; if it weren't for his guilt, he would have punched him in the face by now.
"Abiao, let him go." Just as both parties were at a standstill, Brother Leopard spoke up in a tone so calm it seemed like nothing was happening in front of him.
Seeing Brother Leopard speak, Abiao shot a glare at Zhang Qiu and suddenly pushed him away. Zhang Qiu straightened his collar; he couldn't read any expression on Brother Leopard's face.
Brother Leopard looked at Zhang Qiu and asked, "What are you thinking?"
"Brother Leopard, today's incident is my fault, and I caused you to suffer such losses. If I can't be of any use, then I won't. No matter how much was lost today, I, Zhang Qiu, will definitely repay it double in the future." Zhang Qiu's expression was serious and his words were firm. However, some people in the crowd not only laughed but also looked at Zhang Qiu with mockery. Students love to boast; they didn't believe that with just a few kids like Zhang Qiu, they could earn back the money. What a joke!
Zhang Qiu noticed the expressions of the crowd but didn't get angry. There was no other way; only strength could earn respect. He had to achieve results to prove himself to them.
Brother Leopard watched Zhang Qiu for a while and nodded in agreement. "Alright, I'll wait for you to earn it back." Brother Leopard remained expressionless and called over Abiao, saying, "From now on, you are responsible for leading them. You can appropriately develop our influence within the school."
"Yes, Brother Leopard," Abiao replied, looking at Zhang Qiu and the others with a complex expression.
"You guys," Brother Leopard pointed at Zhang Qiu and Yang Yu, "will follow Abiao from now on."
"Got it, Brother Leopard."
Only then did Brother Leopard smile, just like when they first met. "Since you're all joining for the first time, as your big brother, I should take you to see the world. "You haven't been there either?" Zhang Qiu asked Yang Yu. Given Yang Yu's status, he should have gone there at least once.
Yang Yu smiled wryly and said, "Brother Qiu, you are overestimating me. How could I possibly manage that?"
"It's good to have money," Wang Zhengxiang sighed deeply.
Zhang Qiu patted Wang Zhengxiang and said, "It will come. This is just the first step."
"Stop mumbling. Get in the car and follow me," Abiao called to Zhang Qiu.
Two silver Wuling Vans were parked by the roadside. Zhang Qiu and the others got into the car, while others rode motorcycles closely behind. Zhang Qiu sat on a seat covered with only a thin cushion, various unpleasant odors mixed together in the cramped space. Fortunately, Zhang Qiu leaned against the car window and slightly opened a gap, letting in some cold air, which made him feel a bit better.
The car swayed as it drove along the wide road. Since the old city renovation, West Ring Road had been widened several times and became straight and spacious. The greenery on both sides was sprouting with new leaves, and the branches were clearly visible under the bright streetlights. After the car stopped, Zhang Qiu hurriedly got out; he didn't want to stay in that vehicle for even a second longer—it was definitely the worst car he had ever been in.
The motorcycles also came to a stop. Abiao saw that everyone had arrived and waved, saying, "Follow me."
Zhang Qiu stood at the entrance of Lime Nightclub, which was an European-style building with white marble columns lined up in a row. Above the pavilion, a golden statue of Roman soldiers holding weapons looked proudly ahead. The stairs were adorned with colorful neon lights that emitted a soft, seductive glow in the darkness. In front of the building, luxury cars were parked in between; Zhang Qiu saw many brands he didn't recognize but could tell from their shapes that they were quite expensive. Among all the luxury cars, there were also some incongruous vans; Zhang Qiu thought of the one he had just ridden in and figured these must be people who came here to mix.
"Don't just stand there," Abiao nudged Zhang Qiu and put his arm around his shoulder to lead him inside. At the revolving glass door, a red carpet stretched from outside to inside, flanked by four tall security guards with earpieces standing with their arms crossed. As they reached the entrance, a tall female server respectfully welcomed them, bending down at that moment revealing her ample figure.
The interior hall was even more resplendent, exuding an aura of gold everywhere. A massive crystal chandelier hung in the center of the ceiling. Well-dressed men and tall beauties with delicate makeup moved about. Under Abiao's guidance, Zhang Qiu, Yang Yu, Gao Zhi, Zhao Pingchuan, and Wang Zhengxiang were arranged to meet Brother Leopard, while other brothers brought by Yang Yu were assigned to different rooms.
Outside a luxurious private room stood two men in black clothing. Upon seeing Abiao approach, they respectfully called out, "Biao Ge."
Abiao nodded and asked, "Is Brother Leopard inside?"
The man in black replied, "Brother Leopard is waiting for you."
Abiao nodded, pushed the door open, and slightly bent forward as he entered, saying, “Brother Leopard, they have arrived.”
“Come in,” Brother Leopard replied lightly.
Abiao entered first, followed by Zhang Qiu, Yang Yu, Gao Zhi, Zhao Pingchuan, and Wang Zhengxiang. Zhang Qiu followed closely behind Abiao, respectfully calling out to Brother Leopard.
The private room was decorated in European style, with a golden chandelier hanging down, walls adorned with shimmering gold, and genuine leather sofas arranged in a semicircle, covered with purple cushions. Above them hung a large oil painting of a knight from Europe, and a giant LCD screen was embedded in the center. Brother Leopard reclined on the sofa, with a scantily clad princess sitting in his lap. She wore a sexy dress that barely covered her chest, exposing a large expanse of fair skin to the air, while the lower part clung tightly to her hips, making it quite provocative.
One of Brother Leopard's hands roamed restlessly over the princess's body, causing her to gasp softly. The princess nestled against Brother Leopard, her delicate hands occasionally bringing a cigarette to his lips for him to enjoy. Brother Leopard gestured for Zhang Qiu, saying, “Come sit next to me.”
Zhang Qiu walked over and sat down beside Brother Leopard, the strong scent of perfume overwhelming his senses. Brother Leopard pointed at Yang Yu and the others, saying, “You all sit down too; don’t wait for me to invite you.”
“Thank you, Brother Leopard.”
Suddenly, the beauty sitting on Brother Leopard's lap brushed her foot against Zhang Qiu, causing his face to flush instantly. He instinctively shifted away. Seeing this, Brother Leopard burst into laughter and whispered in the princess's ear, “Call a few of your good sisters over and tell them that all the guests today are fresh meat. Ah, hahaha.”
“Cut it out.” The princess playfully pushed Brother Leopard away and stood up to leave, throwing him a flirtatious glance as she did so. Brother Leopard gave her rear a firm grab and looked at Zhang Qiu, saying with a smile, “You’re out here mixing in this world for what purpose?”
