"What is this? It's so big!"
Seeing a large object covered with red velvet at the corner of Chen Zao's bedroom by the window, Jindeli was very curious.
"Just don't scream when you see it."
After giving Jindeli a warning, Chen Zao approached the Stone Carving, pulled back the velvet, and revealed the true form of the Stone Carving.
Jindeli furrowed his thick brows slightly, showing an expression not of surprise but of fear: "Isn't this the Shoushan Stone Carving from Northern Cuisine House, Brother Zao?"
"Does it look like it?" Chen Zao asked with a smile.
Jindeli squatted down to take a closer look and even reached out to touch it, whispering, "What do you mean does it look like? This is the prized treasure worth ten thousand from Big Crab!"
Turning his chubby head, he asked Chen Zao with a worried face, "How did you steal this? Oh no, the dragon horn is even chipped! If Big Crab finds out, he will definitely kill us! Brother Zao, you acted too rashly!"
"This Stone Carving isn't from Big Crab, it just looks similar. I found it while I was at Mountain."
"Huh? There are things like this at Mountain?"
"I don't know who threw it away; I saw no one wanted it, so I brought it back."
"Brother Zao, you're too bold!" Jindeli tried to lift the Stone Carving to test its weight but couldn't move it at all. "This thing is so heavy! How did you carry it?"
"Of course I didn't just lift it like you would! I made a mat out of branches and dragged it back. Unfortunately, I didn't protect it well; many parts got damaged. If it hadn't been damaged, this Stone Carving would look even more like the million-dollar Stone Carving from Northern Cuisine House."
"My goodness! Is there a treasure trove in Old Mountain Ridge? How come there are so many treasures here! If no one wants this thing, it will be ours, and we could strike it rich!"
Jindeli finally got excited, almost speechless. The value of this Stone Carving was far greater than the gold Chen Zao had picked up earlier; selling it would catapult them to the peak of life!
"I'm trying to contact Big Crab to see if I can sell this Stone Carving to him, so he can match it with his treasures."
"Have you reached him?" Jindeli asked.
"Not yet; he isn't answering my calls. I'm thinking of finding someone to send him a message. By the way, you have Lei's number, right? Why don't you call him and let him tell Big Crab that we have a big deal to discuss?"
"Brother Zao, we don't necessarily have to sell it to Big Crab. It might be more straightforward to sell it directly to Long An's Dragon Lord."
"This isn't an antique; will he buy it?"
"Of course he will! He buys anything valuable! He has a huge Shoushan Stone Carving displayed in his shop, priced at over a hundred million!" Jindeli confirmed. "He will definitely flip this thing!"
"Is this person reliable? Will he give us a fair purchase price?" Chen Zao was a bit uneasy since he had never dealt with the Dragon Lord before.
"I don't know. How about we go ask him? If his price is reasonable, we sell it; if not, we can always bring it back." Jindeli was particularly keen on this kind of deal, much more exciting than selling Roujiamo.
Chen Zao thought about it and felt it was worth a try. If the Dragon Lord offered a decent price, he would sell it to him and wait for another opportunity to deal with Big Crab later.
Now was the time he needed quick cash to promote the Salvation Project; he would do whatever brought in money fast.
After getting Chen Zao's approval, Jindeli immediately contacted Long An's Dragon Lord, Ma Fulong, and arranged to meet at Ma Fulong's Antique Shop at 5:30 PM that evening, bringing along something good for Ma Fulong.
After making plans, Jindeli drove their shop's eight-seater delivery vehicle, the Wuling Hongguang, carrying Chen Zao and Stone Carving towards Chang'an City.
On the way, Chen Zao's phone rang with three consecutive calls from Li Zhenian.
Chen Zao did not answer any of them.
He guessed it was probably more trouble from the production team, which made him feel quite annoyed.
As a man burdened with the responsibility of saving the world, being troubled by these mundane matters from ordinary people truly exhausted Chen Zao. He decided not to think about it anymore; let them do as they please.
"Fatty, don’t answer any calls from Director Li lately," Chen Zao advised Jindeli.
"What’s going on?"
"Just don’t answer. I’ve had some conflicts with the production team again, and they’re definitely going to complain to Director Li. It’s driving me crazy. I’ll be heading into the Mountain to look for gold soon, so if anyone comes looking for me at the shop, you won’t know where I am."
"I know, I definitely won’t. Even if the police come, I won’t say anything; I’ll pretend I know nothing."
"Haha, Fatty, can’t you wish me some good luck?" Chen Zao laughed and punched Jindeli playfully. "Tonight we won’t go back to town to avoid Director Li coming over to lecture me. Let’s call Big Gang, Triumph, Mali, and the others; tonight we’re going to Golden Knife Hot Pot. It’s on me; let’s have a good feast."
"Great! I’ve been wanting to go there!" Jindeli said eagerly, licking his lips. "It’s been a while since we gathered with Big Gang; let’s have a good time tonight!"
"Yeah, after we eat, let Big Gang find us a place to hang out all night. We won’t go back to town; it’s too annoying."
"Brother Zao, you finally get it! Now that we have money, we should enjoy ourselves! But before we go out, we should probably take a shower at Big Gang's place first. After eating your Stinky Fish Oil lately, I’ve been sweating like you and have this awful smell; no amount of chewing gum can cover it up."
Jindeli held the steering wheel with one hand while pulling out a can of Extra from the glove compartment with the other.
He handed it to Chen Zao: "Luckily, I'm clever and brought Extra with me. I always carry it around now, eating it non-stop, but I still can't get rid of this awful smell in my mouth. Brother Zao, you should have some too; your breath is way worse than mine. I can smell the stench coming from your mouth from three feet away, like you've just eaten something disgusting."
"You old fool! You're the one who eats disgusting things; this is the price we pay for health! Just like people, the world is the same. Only when we rot to the core and steam out all the decayed stuff can we become stronger."
Chen Zao mumbled as he took the Extra from Jindeli, popped four pieces into his mouth, and said, "I don't know who designed that advertisement for Extra recently, but it sounds like they just robbed a bank and are dividing up the loot."
"Robbed a bank and dividing up the loot?"
Chen Zao mimicked dividing money for Jindeli: "This is your share, and this is your share."
"Hahaha. Brother Zao, you're too funny."
Jindeli laughed so hard he almost drove into a ditch.
"Alright, stop laughing. I need to talk to you about something serious. Last year, Big Gang brought someone to Gubei to eat game. What was that guy's name? Lu Wei, right? I remember his family runs a pharmaceutical company and has done a lot of contract work for various Health Supplements."
"Contract work? You can't fool me with that kind of talk; how did you get fooled?" Jindeli told Chen Zao: "He's just a fake medicine dealer."
"Exactly, that's who I'm looking for."
