Ye Xiaohan sniffed and said in a muffled voice, "You all back off. Don't block me. I've made up my mind today; I can't stay here for another moment. I don't need you to rush me; I'm leaving right now!"
With that, she ignored everyone and began rummaging through the cabinets, throwing clothes everywhere as she shouted about packing her things to take with her.
Li Yang grew anxious and stepped forward to stop her. "Sister-in-law, what's going on? Why are you suddenly saying this? Did we do something wrong? If we made any mistakes because we're young and naive, just point it out, and we'll change."
"We'll change! We'll change!" Li Qi jumped up and hugged Ye Xiaohan's leg, preventing her from packing: "Sister-in-law, please don't be angry. I promise I won't sneak off with Round to steal candy anymore!"
Ye Xiaohan peeled Li Qi off her leg, ignoring them as she continued to sob while pulling out more items, as if she intended to take everything with her and never return.
Her determination only heightened everyone's panic. Compared to previous incidents, this one felt like a joke.
"Sister-in-law, you can't just leave like this," Li Yang blurted out in desperation. "Even if you want to go, you should wait until my brother comes back and talk it over with him!"
Mentioning Li Bei only reignited the anger within Ye Xiaohan. She threw the half-packed bag onto the ground and turned to glare at Li Yang.
"Your brother? You still want to see him?" Ye Xiaohan sneered. "He's doing quite well for himself now; why would he bother with people like us? Oh right, you’re brothers after all—of course, you're different from a woman like me with an unclear background!"
Li Yang was baffled by her words. "What do you mean? What happened to my brother? Brother Gu will be back in a couple of days. Sister-in-law, no matter what happens, you should at least see him before you leave!"
"Brother Gu?" Ye Xiaohan recalled Gu Da. He must have known about Li Bei's true identity long ago; no wonder he—a powerful person with special abilities—could be ordered around by a mere villager.
These bastards had actually banded together to deceive her, each playing their part convincingly. Truly impressive!
"You want to know what happened?" Ye Xiaohan said. "I can give you a hint: why don't you pay a visit to Street Dragon General's place and see what your dear brother has been up to?"
As soon as she woke up, she recalled being chased out by the guards. Liu Bei clearly knew she was outside, yet he just watched her being driven away without showing any concern.
The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. She felt a surge of resentment burning within her. If Liu Bei were standing in front of her right now, she might just lash out at him.
Liu Yang was taken aback by Ye Xiaohan's anger. He wondered how Liu Bei had managed to upset his sister-in-law while being so far away. And then there was the Flying Dragon General; his elder brother had been sent on a mission by the general. Could something have gone wrong?
Thinking about it now was pointless. The most important thing was to calm Ye Xiaohan down first. He exchanged a glance with Liu Qi, who immediately understood and rushed over to hug Ye Xiaohan's leg, crying loudly.
"Woohoo, Sister-in-law, don’t leave me! If you’re going, take me with you! I want to live with you!" Liu Qi cried uncontrollably, as if he could bring down the Great Wall with his tears.
In the past, whenever Liu Qi cried, even if Ye Xiaohan was angry, she would eventually calm down. However, this time it seemed ineffective. With a firm resolve, Ye Xiaohan pulled Liu Qi away, her eyes red as she quickly packed a large bundle.

He felt some resentment toward his elder brother for whatever grave mistake he had made that had caused his sister-in-law to be this furious.
Elder brother, please come back soon. If you don’t return quickly, the Liu family will fall apart.
For a moment, the Liu family was engulfed in gloom and chaos.
Meanwhile, someone hiding in a tree took advantage of the distraction and quietly climbed down. He had been observing Ye Xiaohan's situation for long enough and could report back now.
The man quickly circled around the city to ensure he wasn’t being followed. Changing his pace, he soon arrived at the Villa and knocked on the door. Someone opened it almost immediately.
Inside, he turned left and right as if he were very familiar with the place and soon reached the study.
"Young Master, you have returned. Your predictions were spot on!" The man recounted the events, from delivering messages at Ye Xiaohan's tavern to the current upheaval involving six families.
Liu Yuan set down the book he was holding and slammed his hand on the desk with a loud clap, bursting into laughter. "Ye Xiaohan, you finally have your day! You made my life miserable, so don't expect to enjoy yours either!"
He tossed a heavy purse from his desk to the man. "You did well this time. Take this as a reward. As long as you focus on working for me, there will be plenty of benefits."
"Thank you, Young Master!" The man weighed the purse in his hands, grinning widely as he tucked it into his sleeve. "If there's anything else you need me to do, just say the word. I will do my utmost and won't slack off."
Liu Yuan waved his hand dismissively. "Not for now. You can leave. I'll call for you when something comes up."
Once the man departed, Liu Yuan paced back and forth in his study, unable to contain his joy at the thought of Ye Xiaohan's tearful expression.
"Ye Xiaohan, every time you put me down and humiliate me, just wait and see—this time it’s not over!" Liu Yuan savored the sweet taste of victory, feeling more relaxed than he had in a long time.
After calming down a bit, he returned to his desk, picked up paper and pen, and quickly wrote a letter. He sealed it and admired it with satisfaction for a moment.
"Ye Xiaohan, get ready to receive my challenge! Let’s see what tricks you have left to counter this!" Liu Yuan gritted his teeth in anger.
He summoned one of his trusted Shadow Guards and handed over the sealed letter. "Deliver this quickly and return without delay."
"Yes!" The Shadow Guard took the letter and vanished from the study in a swift motion.
Liu Yuan stood by the window, gazing at the distant clouds that were thickening and spreading ominously, as if rain was imminent.
"Sister-in-law, if you're going to leave, wait until tomorrow. Look at those clouds; it's about to change. If you get caught in the rain and catch a chill, it won't be a joke!"
At the entrance of the mansion, Liu Yang desperately tried to reason with Ye Xiaohan, while two Not Points closely followed her, mirroring her every step.
Ye Xiaohan stopped and urged them back. "You don't need to do this. No matter what you say, I won't stay. Just go back; I want to be alone for a while."
With that, Liu Yang realized there was no point in trying to persuade her any further. He had no choice but to give up, watching as Ye Xiaohan's figure grew smaller in the distance.
"Second Brother, I'm so scared. Is Sister-in-law really not coming back? Will I never see her again?" Liu Qi clutched Liu Yang's hand, tears welling in her eyes as she glanced between him and the direction Ye Xiaohan had gone.
Liu Yang patted her head firmly. "She will come back. Sister-in-law and Big Brother had a fight, which is why she left in anger. Once Big Brother returns and apologizes, they'll make up."
He wasn't sure if he was comforting Liu Qi or himself, trying to bolster his own spirits. "Sister-in-law loves you the most; she would never want to leave you for good. When she comes back, we'll buy her some delicious food."
"Okay!" Liu Qi nodded vigorously. "I'll wait at home for Sister-in-law to return!"
Before the rain began to pour down completely, Ye Xiaohan safely arrived at Dayue Inn outside the city.
After booking a room, Ye Xiaohan hastily ate dinner, finished washing up early, and went to bed. Today had brought many troublesome matters that weighed heavily on her mind; she simply buried herself under the covers and tried not to think about them.
In the middle of the night, the rain gradually subsided to a gentle patter. After a while, it finally stopped. However, the clouds remained thick, casting a dark gloom that obscured any light.
Suddenly, a faint sound came from the window of Ye Xiaohan's room. The window slowly opened, and a shadow swiftly jumped inside without making a sound, landing silently on the floor.
