Upon hearing about Liu Qi's peculiar labeling of Liu Yang, Ye Xiaohan silently lit a candle for him in her heart.
She pondered for a moment and asked, "Qi, during the days I was away, did Second Brother and Bai Maiden often talk together?"

However, with Ye Xiaohan absent, even if she cursed her in her heart, it would go unheard.
Yet not cursing her left Liu Susu feeling extremely unsatisfied, as she struggled to suppress her frustration.
Thus, she began to justify her feelings. Since Ye Xiaohan was not around, it should fall upon her family to bear the consequences of provoking Liu Susu's ire.
The closest people to Ye Xiaohan, aside from Gu Bei, were the six siblings.
That’s right; Liu Susu decided to shift her target for trouble to the two siblings at home.
In Liu Susu's eyes, Ye Xiaohan was sharp-tongued; sometimes she could take a hit. But the two siblings, especially Liu Qi, were nothing to worry about at all.
In the afternoon, not long after Ye Xiaohan had left, Liu Susu barged into the courtyard with a large group of followers. They pushed open the gate and casually found an excuse to storm inside to capture someone.
"Too much!" Ye Xiaohan accidentally crushed a pastry in her hand, crumbs scattering across the table.
To her surprise, Liu Susu had grown increasingly bold, even daring to act against those around her. It seemed that Lady Liu's house arrest had not been long enough for Liu Susu to reflect on her own misdeeds.
Ye Xiaohan examined the two individuals before her. They bore no visible scars and appeared to be in good spirits, unlike those who had been frightened or tortured. "So what happened next? How did you escape?"
"Sister-in-law, you won't believe it!" 6 Yang whispered conspiratorially, "It was the White Maiden! She stepped up and severely injured all of Liu Susu's people. They didn't even have the strength to crawl back, so they couldn't come after us again."
Ye Xiaohan paused for a moment. "The White Maiden? Is she really the same Mysterious Man in Black who saved us before?"
"Exactly!" 6 Yang boasted as if he were being praised himself. "With just a few moves, the White Maiden knocked those people down without even changing her stance!"
It was among those familiar techniques that 6 Yang recognized Bai Rong'er’s identity.
Seeing them dare to resist and injure her followers, Liu Susu furiously grabbed anything within reach and began smashing it. 6 Yang stepped forward to block her, while Liu Susu shouted threats, vowing that 6 Yang would find no way out.
During Liu Susu's rampage, Bai Rong'er also struck back twice, leaving her sprawled among her own subordinates.
In the end, Liu Susu and her group fled from Ye Xiaohan's courtyard in disarray.
"Really?" Ye Xiaohan imagined Bai Rong'er's cold expression as she carried out such actions with indifference, and couldn't help but find it somewhat amusing.
Yet she felt a twinge of shock inside. Although she had harbored some doubts before, confirming it made it all seem unbelievable.
Especially since Bai Rong'er had already revealed her identity; why was she still pretending to be unwell? It couldn't possibly be just because she wanted to stay here.

"Did Liu Susu really just go back after being hit?" Ye Xiaohan couldn't believe it. With Liu Susu's temperament, if someone even touched a strand of her hair, she would be the first to retaliate. It was absolutely not in her nature to take a beating without any form of revenge.
Liuyang scoffed, "How is that possible! Liu Susu is the most difficult and unreasonable shrew I've ever encountered!"
After being injured by Bai Rong'er, Liu Susu had left with her usual parting threats. However, Bai Rong'er typically ignored everyone in the courtyard, and Liuyang disdainfully refused to engage in a verbal battle with her. As for Liqi, she hadn't sensed any danger at all; after Bai Rong'er had knocked the bad guys down, she had been clapping excitedly for Bai Rong'er without paying attention to her surroundings.
Liu Susu's threats had no effect whatsoever. Infuriated and dragging her injuries along, she didn't go back to find a doctor but headed straight for the Prime Minister's Residence.
"Dad, you have to stand up for me this time! I'm about to be beaten to death by them! Boohoo!" Liu Susu burst in, her face bruised and swollen, startling Lady Liu into mispronouncing several Buddhist chants.
Liu Chancellor was also taken aback. He knew his daughter was somewhat spoiled and could sometimes provoke others. However, he never imagined she would end up looking like this.
"What did you do this time to get yourself so hurt?" Liu Chancellor suppressed his concern and asked for clarity while leaning towards believing only part of the story.
Lady Liu hugged Liu Susu tightly in distress while sending servants to fetch a doctor. She turned to Liu Chancellor and said, "Look at how badly your daughter is hurt! Instead of comforting her as a father should, you're here questioning her! This is your own flesh and blood!"
"Boohoo!" With Lady Liu backing her up, Liu Susu cried even more dramatically. "You can't blame me this time! I heard Ye Xiaohan was away on a trip and left only two kids at home, so I went to visit them. I never expected..."
Liu Susu paused mid-sob, struggling to catch her breath as she continued: "As soon as I walked in, those two kids jumped out and started cursing at me, trying to kick me out. I tried to explain nicely, but they wouldn't listen and even gathered a bunch of people to beat me and my companions! They said they just don't like me; every time they see me from now on, they'll want to hit me!"
The last threat was something Liu Susu had previously used against Ye Xiaohan; now it had turned into Ye Xiaohan threatening her instead.
Liu Chancellor looked at the injuries on Liu Susu and believed half of what she said. If it weren't for the fact that there were too many of them, how could they have beaten Liu Susu, who was accompanied by her servants, to such a state? He wondered if she had sustained any bone injuries.
"What on earth were you doing there?" Liu Chancellor felt both heartache and frustration. "Haven't I warned you many times not to associate with them? Why won’t you listen?"
Liu Susu cried, "Father, I wasn't looking for trouble this time! I just heard that Ye Xiaohan was away and no one was taking care of his home. I acted impulsively before and did some bad things, so I thought I could take this opportunity to make amends. I didn’t expect them to hate me so much; not only did they refuse my goodwill, but they also cursed and hit me!"
"What a sin!" Lady Liu held Liu Susu gently, afraid to squeeze her too tightly, as any movement made Liu Susu cry out in pain.
Liu Chancellor looked at his pitiful daughter, but his anger still prevailed.
Even though Liu Susu had indeed done some wrongs to Ye Xiaohan in the past, the Liu family was willing to make amends. However, Ye Xiaohan was not one to forgive easily; now he had beaten her like this—he was no pushover either.
Protective of his daughter, Liu Chancellor was consumed by his concern for her and felt immense anger towards Ye Xiaohan and the six families involved. He decided to confront them directly.
In the courtyard, chaos erupted; it was anything but peaceful. Within a short time, two groups of visitors arrived, each more difficult to deal with than the last.
Meanwhile, in the Liu family, as Liu Susu saw her father rushing out to support her, a triumphant smile appeared on her lips but quickly faded into cries of pain as she complained about the doctor's rough hands while clinging to Lady Liu for comfort.
