"Who are you?!"
Gray Tone stared warily at the tall and slender figure of the Black-Clad Thief in front of him. Four players from the Newbie Alliance blocked his way at the door, their expressions unfriendly.
"The East Wind Guild Leader of the Newbie Alliance isn't here?"
Qin Huai's tone dripped with mockery as his gaze swept around the room before becoming increasingly disdainful. "You can tell East Wind Arrives that Silent wants someone to take the person from the Reincarnation Shop back. Well, there are a few more things to pass on to him, but it seems that's unnecessary now." Ignoring the four grim-faced guards at the door, he swaggered into the room, casually crossing his long legs as he sat down in a chair. He lifted his gaze and looked at Gray Tone with a nonchalant expression.
"What's wrong? Aren't you leaving?"
He toyed with a dagger, pointing it toward the door. A calmness filled his Peach Blossom Eyes, sending a chill down Gray Tone's spine.
"You are Qin Huai?!"
"Tsk, looks like you're acquainted with East Wind Arrives," the Black-Clad Thief said, his eyes filled with deeper mockery. His light tone carried an air of chilling pressure. "How about you handle this matter properly while I still have patience?"
The oppressive atmosphere that followed his words filled the room, leaving the members of the Newbie Alliance too intimidated to breathe, their faces growing increasingly pale.
The three members of The Lord's Gift had been utterly shocked since Qin Huai's appearance.

These thoughts raced through the minds of Sincere, The Lord's Gift, and Weak Water Three Thousand like a barrage of messages.
"Future Boss, thank you for saving us! Wow, I almost thought we were going to be imprisoned for life!"
Upon hearing the words "Future Boss," a hint of joy flickered in Qin Huai's beautifully shaped Peach Blossom Eyes, and even the imposing aura around him softened a bit.
Meanwhile, Gray Tone, who received the reply from East Wind Arrives, reluctantly scanned the exquisite equipment and materials scattered on the ground before leading his group away.

If it weren't for the overwhelming number of matters he had to manage, coupled with the troubles involving the Qian Sisters and the pressures from both the Qian Family and Peng Family that left him overwhelmed, he wouldn't have ended up in this situation with Silent. Unfortunately, she hadn't responded to any of his messages; his attempts to reach out seemed to vanish into thin air. He was forced into this desperate situation, which only seemed to make things worse... Sui Xin's departure not only took his heart but also seemed to rob him of his sanity. Rubbing his aching forehead, he lowered his gaze, revealing a turbulent darkness in his eyes.

Seeing this message on the interface and recalling how the girl refused to respond to him and even asked him to relay messages, Qin Huai realized that she still held a grudge against East Wind Arrives. "Future Boss, you're amazing! With just one look—" Weak Water Three Thousand exaggeratedly gestured, "you instantly took down Gray Tone and his crew. So cool!"
"When it comes to presence overpowering everything else—yes, Future Boss," The Lord's Gift exclaimed with sparkling amber eyes filled with admiration. Following Weak Water Three Thousand's lead in addressing him with that newly coined title, her voice was brimming with excitement. "Incredible!"
"Alright, you two," Sincere said, pulling the two excited girls back with a hint of rationality. She nodded at Qin Huai and said, "Thank you."
A genuine smile graced her otherwise cold face.
As soon as Qin Huai stepped out of the Adventurer's Tavern, she spotted Muzi Li waiting outside.
The Black-Masked thief had just exchanged greetings and was about to slip away when The Lord's Gift's sharp eyes caught sight of a familiar figure, exclaiming in surprise:
"Ah, Sister Muzi Li!"
Her excited voice couldn't hide her joy.
Qin Huai's gaze darkened as she looked at Muzi Li, her expression suddenly turning cold.
Muzi Li felt a rush of panic as she was grabbed, especially when she met her leader's gaze. Her heart raced, and she swallowed hard before speaking:
"Si, what are you doing here?"
"I was bullied by the Newbie Alliance members. Boohoo, thankfully we have our future boss here. By the way, our future boss is also one of your Shadow Alliance members! Look, do you recognize each other? Come on..."
Pulling her closer, The Lord's Gift addressed the confused Weak Water Three Thousand and Sincere: "This is my sister from the Shadow Alliance who saved me last time. You were asking how I knew our future boss was from the Shadow Alliance. I figured it out after getting to know Sister Muzi Li. Later on, I found out that in reality, Sister Muzi Li lives right next door to us!"
The Black-Masked thief thought to herself that she needed to move immediately.
Her leader's gaze was terrifying—oh no!

"Hello, Muzi Li, I am Sincere."
Muzi Li steadied her voice under the increasingly cold gaze of her boss and said, "Hello, I am Muzi Li."
"Muzi Li sister, here, this is our future boss's husband! You should know each other, right?"
The Lord's Gift's amber-colored big eyes turned to Qin Huai. Noticing a shadow pass through his gaze, she keenly sensed something was off and asked, "Future boss's husband, what's wrong?"
Qin Huai raised an eyebrow, the usual mischief in his peach blossom eyes evident as he replied lightly, "It's nothing; we know each other."
"Wow, what a coincidence! Haha—" Weak Water Three Thousand cheerfully linked arms with Muzi Li on the other side and laughed without a care. "Thank you for saving Sincere before. Are you free now? Want to join us at the Reincarnation Shop for a gathering? We can level up and run dungeons afterward..."
Sincere caught the look of difficulty in the eyes of the female thief before her. Although the Black Veil obscured her face, Sincere was sure that the look of distress was more than just a fleeting moment. So she said:
"Weak Water, don't be silly. Muzi Li has other things to attend to; she doesn't have time to play with you right now. Let's not hold her up. We can add each other as friends today and meet up next time."
