The dishes and service at Ruyi Tower are unmatched by any other restaurant. The waitstaff all wear the same attire, their faces adorned with smiles, treating every guest equally without disdain or condescension. As soon as someone enters, they receive meticulous care, leaving behind a stellar reputation that has sparked intense curiosity about the neighboring establishment, which is still shrouded in black cloth.
"Bang! Bang! Bang..." Another round of firecrackers erupted, drawing a crowd that wasn't as boisterous as before but still considerable, especially those who had been eagerly anticipating this moment.
"I'm sorry, young master, but you cannot enter here," a charming girl politely blocked the first person attempting to step inside.
"Why can't I go in?" The young master felt slighted and immediately exploded in anger.
Onlookers noticed that even someone dressed in silk and adorned with jade pendants was denied entry, making them question why they should bother gathering if even those with wealth were turned away.
"Apologies, young master, but Jade Pavilion is reserved for ladies. Young masters and gentlemen cannot enter," the girl explained gently, her face maintaining a warm smile.
"What?" The young master was taken aback, stunned into silence for a moment before asking, "Why are only ladies allowed? Isn't it a business that should welcome everyone?"
"Hehe," the girl at the entrance ignored his protests and instead flashed a stunning smile at the crowd gathered outside. "Everyone, Jade Pavilion is prepared for ladies. Inside, we have cosmetics, jewelry, delicious snacks, Yellow Skirt fabric—all you could desire. Today is our grand opening, and every guest will receive a special gift from us..." Before she could finish her sentence, she was pushed aside, leaving her bewildered.
Upon hearing about the gifts, those gathered began urging their wives and ladies to enter. Their curiosity about what lay inside was palpable; after all, not being able to see it made them feel particularly restless.
Sister Yun stood at the top of the stairs on the second floor, watching the people rush in. She smiled and instructed the girls standing nearby to attend to them and introduce everything about Jade Pavilion.
Qing Luan remained in her room on the third floor of Jade Pavilion. She didn't go out to see the commotion; instead, she felt confident about her proposal. This place was like a miniature marketplace that she had condensed into one space. Four shops connected across three floors, each area dedicated to items that would captivate women’s hearts.
Doing business focused on women was certainly easier. When women see something they like or desire, they often lose their rationality; with just a few compliments, one can expect them to reach for their purses.
"Miss," less than an hour after opening, Sister Yun sauntered in with a seductive sway of her hips and a beaming smile. "It's truly impressive! Those ladies went wild as soon as they saw the goods—some nearly got into fights!" Initially skeptical of her idea that highborn ladies would come out to shop, she was surprised to see that it had become quite popular without needing those elite patrons.
"This is just the beginning," Qing Luan said upon hearing the good news, her lips curling into a smile. Looking at Sister Yun's alluring demeanor, she teased, "Sister Yun, since all our guests are ladies and young misses today, you might want to tone down your seductive act; otherwise, people might think there's a madam coming out of Jade Pavilion!"
"Cut it out," Sister Yun said with a look of disdain. Instead of getting angry, she twisted even more provocatively. "You're just jealous of my mature charm. Look at your little frame and that serious face of yours; if I didn't know better, I'd think you were my daughter." When it came to banter, the two of them could go head-to-head.
The only reason she had followed her was for the sake of witty exchanges; otherwise, being alone would be quite lonely.
"Pfft!" Qin'er, standing nearby, couldn't help but laugh at their conversation.
"See? Even Qin'er is on my side," Sister Yun said triumphantly.
"Sister Yun, I'm not on your side; I just think you try too hard to act young," Qin'er replied, a glimmer of amusement in her eyes but a look of helplessness on her face. "My lady is only fifteen and already acts like your daughter. I really can't tell how old you are this year!"
"Qin'er, you..." Sister Yun was so exasperated by her serious tone that she couldn't find the words.
"Haha..." Qing Luan watched Sister Yun's flustered and speechless expression and chuckled to herself, thinking: Qin'er has truly learned from me; you're walking right into it.
"You’re still laughing," Sister Yun said, a bit flustered and angry.
"Even if I were your daughter, does that mean I can't laugh?" Qing Luan continued to stoke the fire, unwilling to let her off the hook. Hmph, if you dare to take advantage of me, you'd better be able to handle it.
"Giggling..." At this moment, it was Qin'er who was laughing heartily.
Sister Yun pointed at Qin'er and then at Qing Luan in frustration, finally managing to squeeze out a sentence: "You two are really in cahoots, hmph!" With that, she turned on her heel and walked away, not forgetting to sway her little waist.
"Haha..." Seeing Sister Yun's comical demeanor made Qing Luan and Qin'er burst into laughter once more.
Tianxiang Restaurant.
"Impressive!" Bai Feiyang exclaimed as he watched the bustling crowd at the entrance across from him, contrasting sharply with the gradually declining Tianxiang Restaurant. He couldn't help but admire, "That little girl really did what she said," and she did it in such a short time.
Fu Tianlin's gaze also fell on the scene across the street, but his expression was somewhat grim. "What a powerful move. She has everything under control without even showing herself; clearly, her methods are extraordinary!" The day Bai Feiyang had been sent to cause a disturbance was meant to force that Mysterious Girl out, but unexpectedly, her guard had simply thrown him out instead.
Although Bai Feiyang was the son of the Minister of War, he had never trained in martial arts and was no match for them. It wasn't long before he found himself tossed out.
"That's because she's impressive," Bai Feiyang said, not angry at all but rather filled with admiration. "Just look at her subordinates and then compare them to your arrogant Tavern Keeper; you'll see how remarkable she is!" The Jade Pavilion was lively too, though he wondered what it was like inside.
"..." Fu Tianlin remained silent. He knew that Feiyang was right; the Fu Family simply couldn't match her shrewdness. After some investigation, he learned that the waitstaff at Ruyi Tower treated everyone politely as long as their bottom line wasn't crossed. No matter how tricky the request, they wouldn't even frown. Such service was likely unmatched by any other establishment in the capital.
If this continued, it seemed that the businesses in the capital would soon be reshuffled.
"Hey, Tianlin," Bai Feiyang shifted topics casually, not intending to target him specifically. He recalled another matter and curiously asked, "Is your father planning to marry your sister into the Huang Family?" This was something his father had mentioned occasionally, so he couldn't help but be curious.
