Yang Yun nodded and left the private room. She did not take her bag with her, and since Lansiya's animosity was directed solely at Hanno, she did not believe that Yang Yun had stolen the bracelet, allowing her to leave without worry. 0

The police arrived promptly, having been briefed on the situation beforehand. They sent two female officers to accompany them. A search was the quickest way to locate the missing item. Naturally, the first person they searched was the prime suspect, Hanno, but neither her handbag nor her person revealed the bracelet. 0

"Nothing? How could there be nothing? I clearly..." Ma Yanli abruptly stopped speaking. 0

"Clearly what?" Hanno asked with a cold laugh. 0

Ma Yanli forced herself to remain calm. "I clearly saw you put the bracelet into your handbag. By the way, Yang Yun just left; she must have taken the bracelet out to help you hide the stolen goods." 0

Just then, Yang Yun walked in and shouted, "Stop slandering people! Ma Yanli, you’re framing Hanno, thinking there’s no evidence?" 0

"What are you talking about? I’m not framing Hanno!" Ma Yanli's heart raced as a bad feeling crept in. 0

"Officer," Yang Yun said, "I just spoke with the hotel manager and obtained the surveillance footage from outside the restroom. I believe it will assist in your investigation." She handed a USB drive to the leading officer. 0

Ma Yanli's face turned pale instantly. Was there something wrong with this hotel? They even had cameras installed outside the restroom! 0

The lead officer glanced at Ma Yanli's suddenly ashen face and, drawing on his experience, had already formed a conclusion. He connected the USB drive to his smartphone and opened the only video file on it. The screen displayed a woman standing at the restroom door, quickly stuffing a bracelet into her pocket while sneering, "Hanno, this time you won't escape!" 0

The woman was none other than Ma Yanli. 0

The lead officer instructed one of the female officers, "Chen, search her bag." 0

Chen immediately approached Ma Yanli, snatched her bag away, and rummaged through it until she found a bracelet inside. The glass bracelet was translucent and smooth; even if it wasn't imperial green, its quality was still remarkable—it was indeed Lansiya's missing bracelet. 0

"My bracelet!" Lansiya rushed over to grab it. After checking that it was undamaged, she glared at Ma Yanli with a grim expression. "Well done, Ma Yanli! You’re accusing others while being guilty yourself and trying to fool me like I’m an idiot. I won’t let this go; your family can forget about sourcing from my company in the future." 0

"Don't! Lansiya—" Ma Yanli panicked. The only reason her business could survive was because she relied on her relationship with Lansiya to procure goods from the Lan family's company at a lower price than others. If she could no longer get supplies from the Lan family, how would she manage her business? After graduating high school without getting into college, she had spent all her parents' savings to start this business, which had already drawn the dissatisfaction of her sister-in-law. If the business failed because of her, her sister-in-law would surely incite her brother against her. Moreover, without the income from the business, how could she continue living her currently extravagant lifestyle? 0

Lansiya ignored Ma Yanli's wails, shot her a glare, then turned to glare at Hanno before attempting to leave the private room. However, she was stopped by the police— as a victim, you haven't given your statement yet; where do you think you're going? 0

"Ms. Ma, you are accused of stealing someone else's property and framing another person. The evidence is clear; please come with us to the station," the lead officer said sternly to Ma Yanli. The situation was obvious: Ma Yanli had stolen Lansiya's bracelet in an attempt to frame Hanno, but she had overlooked the fact that there were cameras outside the restroom, which quickly exposed her. As for why the bracelet was found in Ma Yanli's bag instead of Hanno's purse, that was a detail not worth dwelling on. 0

What should have been a pleasant class reunion ended on a sour note with the arrival of the police. Everyone was displeased with Ma Yanli, who had instigated the trouble. It was certain that no one would invite Ma Yanli to future reunions. To ease the tension among everyone, Zhang Xiaofeng suggested they go to karaoke, but Hanno declined, citing a lack of interest, and left the hotel with Yang Yun. 0

"Did you put that bracelet back in Ma Yanli's bag?" Yang Yun asked. 0

Hanno nodded. "Yeah. I sensed something was off when she pretended to be nice to Lansiya, and then I spotted the bracelet in her handbag. She thought she could set me up without considering whether I'd give her a chance." 0

Yang Yun's eyes lit up. "How did you manage to put it back? I was right next to you and didn't see you do anything!" 0

Hanno smirked slightly. "I've been taught by someone skilled; it's normal for you not to notice." 0

"Who is this skilled person?" Yang Yun asked curiously. "Don't tell me it's some hidden ancient martial arts master or something." 0

"You’re overthinking it." Hanno didn't want to continue on that topic. "Are you heading home?" 0

"What’s the rush to go home? Are you leaving? We haven't seen each other in so long; shouldn't you spend more time with me?" 0

"Of course I'll spend time with you," Hanno replied, "but we can't just stand here talking by the roadside, can we?" 0

"How about shopping? Or watching a movie?" Yang Yun suggested. 0

"Shopping is out of the question," Hanno said, not wanting to torture his feet. "Let's go watch a movie." 0

Two people headed to the cinema, and among the many posters, Hanno spotted a familiar title, "A Smile Is Beautiful." It had been adapted into a movie? As a part-time online writer, Hanno was somewhat familiar with the names of renowned authors. Gu Man's style wasn't exactly what Hanno preferred, but she had read "A Smile Is Beautiful" and found it quite memorable. 0

"A Smile Is Beautiful?" Yang Yun looked at the introduction on the poster. "It's adapted by Gu Man? It must be good. Let's watch this one!" 0

Yang Yun had seen "He Yi Sheng Xiao Mo" and was very much looking forward to another work by Gu Man. 0

Hanno nodded, and the two bought tickets and entered the screening room. The film adaptation of "A Smile Is Beautiful" was fairly well done, featuring fresh and beautiful visuals that were light-hearted and romantic, perfect for young couples. However, for Hanno and Yang Yun, both single, it was a bit of a tease. 0

"I think I should find a boyfriend," Yang Yun said as they exited the cinema, her face slightly flushed. 0

Hanno glanced at her. "Aren't you tired of blind dates every week?" 0

Yang Yun grimaced. "I'm tired of the blind date candidates. With my parents' taste in men, every one of them looks worse than the last. If they could just find me a handsome guy, I'd accept immediately and get married right away." 0

Hanno chuckled softly; if Yang Yun really wanted a boyfriend, she would have found one by now. This girl preferred her freedom. However, with her parents pressuring her, she wouldn't be able to enjoy that freedom for much longer. 0

"You're back? How was the class reunion?" Mom Han and Dad Han were watching TV when they noticed their daughter had returned. They shifted their attention halfway to her. "Did you drink? Do you want a glass of milk to help sober up?" 0

"No thanks, I didn't drink," Hanno waved her hand to let her parents continue watching their show while she headed to her room to grab some clean clothes for a shower. Although she hadn't drunk any alcohol herself, most people around her had, so she inevitably picked up some of the smell and felt uncomfortable. 0

"By the way, tomorrow is your grandfather's death anniversary; you should come with us to pay respects," Mom Han said as she walked into Hanno's room after she finished showering while an advertisement played on TV. 0

"Okay, I got it," Hanno replied. During times when her parents were busy with work, she lived with her grandparents and had a very close relationship with them. Unfortunately, both had passed away too early for her to repay them properly. She certainly couldn't miss her grandfather's death anniversary. 0

As the opening theme of the drama began to play, Mom Han wandered back to continue watching. Hanno opened her computer as usual, first checking that gray name on QQ before opening her document to continue writing. 0

"...Yang Xiao followed Ji Xiaofu back to Peach Blossom Island to live in seclusion. His finger-pointing technique was a unique skill of Peach Blossom Island; he had heard the name 'Peach Blossom Island' from his master long ago and knew he was considered a descendant of that lineage. However, as time passed and Peach Blossom Island disappeared along with Guo Jing and Huang Rong's demise, even his master did not know where it was located. Unexpectedly, he was luckier than his master; he had someone who could return him to Peach Blossom Island..." 0
“Zhang Wuji chose to live in seclusion with Zhao Min. Without Yang Xiao taking over the affairs of Mingjiao, Zhu Yuanzhang directly seized power and became the new leader of Mingjiao, eventually founding the Ming Dynasty and beginning a crackdown on the martial arts world. Due to the relationship between Yang Buhui and Song Qingshu, Ji Xiaofu had warned the Wudang Sect and Emei Sect in advance. The two sects secretly made arrangements to hide their active members and heritage in the deep mountains and overseas, successfully escaping the bloody suppression from the court.” 0

“The sunlight shone on Ji Xiaofu as she cradled her prominent belly, turning to see Yang Xiao anxiously approaching her.” 0

“‘Xiaofu, why did you come to the seaside? The sea breeze is strong; don’t catch a cold,’ Yang Xiao chattered as he draped a cloak over Ji Xiaofu.” 0

“Ji Xiaofu smiled, ‘Are you worried about me or about the child inside me?’” 0

“Yang Xiao replied without hesitation, ‘Of course it’s you. Without you, where would the child come from?’” 0

“Ji Xiaofu laughed even more, ‘Yang Xiao, there’s something very important I need to tell you.’” 0

“Yang Xiao’s expression turned serious. ‘If you’re going to talk about your origins, I don’t want to hear it.’ How could there be two people who looked exactly alike in this world? Ji Xiaofu had changed so much that it reminded him of ghost stories he had heard before. He wasn’t sure if the current Ji Xiaofu was a ghost, a demon, or an immortal; all he knew was that he loved the present Ji Xiaofu and absolutely could not let her leave.” 0

“Ji Xiaofu’s smile twitched slightly. ‘No, what I mean is… I’m about to give birth!’” 0

“Ah, ah, ah—chaos erupted on Peach Blossom Island.” 0

“The story concludes here.” 0

“Transmigration of Ji Xiaofu has ended. What should be written next? Hanno lay on the bed brainstorming, recalling a story he had read about a female protagonist who reincarnated into Hong Kong during the 70s and 80s and mingled in the entertainment industry. He was suddenly struck by inspiration and shivered several times.” 0
