The Bug Queen found herself trapped in a formation, unable to discern her surroundings. However, Hanno and the others stood in the gaps of the formation, observing the Bug Queen's every move with clarity. Hanno commanded the group, "Unleash your strongest attacks on the Bug Queen! We must take her down while she hasn't broken through the formation."
The Ten Yuan Confinement Killing Formation was a version from the secret realm of Mount Luofu, capable of restraining only those at the Nascent Soul Stage at most. The personnel at Military Headquarters and the command center anxiously awaited news when suddenly, the communicator lit up. Both sides brightened at once and quickly connected to the device, revealing Hanno's figure before them.
"Major Han, did you... did you..." The Marshal stammered with excitement, unable to finish his sentence.
Hanno understood their thoughts and didn't keep them in suspense; he nodded directly and said, "Mission accomplished!"
"That's fantastic!" Everyone at Military Headquarters and the command center erupted in cheers. In that moment, they forgot their identities and lost their composure.
Suddenly, the Iron General from the command center turned and walked out. The Marshal, confused, quickly called after him, "Iron General, where are you going?"
With a hearty laugh, the Iron General replied, "Of course I'm going to kill some bugs! Now that I have no worries behind me, I don't need to stay at the command center any longer. Shouldn't I hurry to the front lines and take down more of those pests?"
With that, he strode out of the command room. Other officers in the command room, including those managing logistics, could no longer sit still and followed the Iron General out of the command center. They released their mechs and rushed toward the front lines.
The generals at Military Headquarters exchanged glances filled with envy.
"The Military Headquarters is too far from the front lines!" General Li lamented softly. "If I had known earlier, I would have gone to the front lines sooner instead of just sitting here watching others fight those bugs."
The other generals nodded in agreement. Although years of peaceful life had dulled their fighting spirit as soldiers, their bloodlust and resolve had not completely faded; they still yearned for the battlefield.
The news of the Bug Queen's defeat spread quickly, igniting the warriors' fighting spirit as if they had been injected with adrenaline, their movements becoming even more fierce. However, the crazed Zerg fought back with exceptional strength, and the battle turned into a deadly exchange where both sides were willing to sacrifice their lives. The fighting became a stalemate, with casualties mounting on both sides. Suddenly, dozens of brilliant lights appeared in the distance. Sun Yuqin was the first to notice and shouted, "It's Han Yongxia! It's them, the heroes who killed the Bug Queen! They have returned!"
A polarized reaction erupted. The human warriors cheered while the Zerg became even more frenzied. The strongest guards and elite troops abandoned their opponents and charged toward Hanno and his allies.
"Good timing!" Elder Brother Li smirked coldly. When they faced the Bug Queen, they had hardly exerted themselves to defeat her, which left them feeling somewhat frustrated. Now that the Zerg were coming at them willingly, they could finally unleash their full power.
The other team members shared Elder Brother Li's sentiments and charged into the Zerg ranks like tigers descending from the mountains, inflicting heavy damage on the Zerg forces. Hanno chuckled lightly as he drew his Photon Sword and danced a beautiful death dance with Fire of Departure, reaping Zerg lives.
Hanno and Elder Brother Li were both capable of taking on the Bug Queen individually. With their strength surpassing that of the three major Zerg guards, along with an eighteenth-level master, Li Yuanhao, they quickly teamed up to eliminate the three Zerg guards before launching a massive assault that wiped out all of the Zerg elite troops.
Sun Yuqin and his companions joined forces with them just as all of the Zerg's top fighters were slain. The human experts began to slaughter the remaining Zerg, sweeping through wave after wave until there was not a single insect left in the entire universe.
The war finally came to an end, with victory belonging to humanity. All soldiers who participated in the battle became heroes among humankind, with three shining stars: Sun Yuqin, Li Jinlang, and Han Yongxia. Not only did they awaken three top-tier intelligent mechs in the galaxy, but they were also remarkably young and powerful. Sun Yuqin displayed heroism during battles against the Zerg, leading his soldiers to fend off wave after wave of attacks; the latter two were even more impressive as they killed the Zerg Queen and many other formidable Zerg fighters, playing a decisive role in ending the war.
On October 8th of Interstellar Year 16, a grand wedding at the largest hotel in Star City captured everyone's attention across the galaxy. The idol of all young people, Chen Mu Yu, was marrying General Sun Yuqin, who had risen to this rank in his early thirties—a feat unprecedented in history until now when three exceptional cases emerged: Sun Yuqin, Elder Brother Li, and Hanno. Chen Mu Yu donated all profits from her drama to families of soldiers who died on the battlefield, further enhancing her reputation.
As Chen Mu Yu and Sun Yuqin stood at the hotel entrance greeting guests, they welcomed several distinguished VIPs when suddenly Chen Mu Yu noticed Sun Yuqin straightening his back as if he were preparing for an important reception—more so than when welcoming a Marshal. Surprised by this display of formality for an unknown guest, she looked up to see a young couple approaching: a tall handsome man and an elegant beautiful woman—a perfect match. While Chen Mu Yu did not recognize the man immediately, she instantly recognized the woman; there was no one else besides Sun Yuqin who left such an impression on her. “Han Yongxia,” Chen Mu Yu greeted her by name. “Thank you for coming to our wedding.”
Hanno smiled and replied, “It is our honor to attend your wedding; countless people across the galaxy envy us! If I were to auction off your wedding invitation, I’m sure many would fight over it.”
Chen Mu Yu smiled, "Don't joke around. This must be your fiancé, Major General Li Jinlang, right? Truly remarkable."
Chen Mu Yu admired Li Jinlang; his appearance was as impressive as Sun Yuqin's, but internally, Li Jinlang was a master at the eighteenth level, while Sun Yuqin was merely a master at the fifteenth level. In essence, Sun Yuqin fell short. Hanno had better judgment and luck than herself, choosing the more outstanding Li Jinlang over Sun Yuqin.
Hanno felt proud; others praising her was nothing compared to the joy of praising Elder Brother Li. "We're not just fiancés; we're already married."
She raised their clasped hands, allowing Chen Mu Yu and Sun Yuqin to see the ring on her left hand's ring finger.
"When did you two get married?" Sun Yuqin asked in surprise. "Why didn't you notify us to celebrate?"
"Just now," Elder Brother Li said, unable to hide his beaming smile. "We just registered our marriage. We didn't want a grand affair, so you won't be able to celebrate with us. We'll just enjoy yours."
"Aren't you being a bit stingy?" Sun Yuqin laughed, feeling a twinge of jealousy. Of course, it wasn't because she had feelings for Hanno; it was simply the nature of men. It was hard for any man to be happy when a woman who once belonged to him became another man's partner. However, that feeling quickly faded, and Sun Yuqin sincerely congratulated Hanno and Elder Brother Li. "Congratulations! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together."
"Thank you," Elder Brother Li replied, also genuinely wishing Sun Yuqin and Chen Mu Yu well. "May you two find your true love and enjoy a harmonious life together, with many children to come. This is a wedding gift for you."
"Thank you," Sun Yuqin said as she accepted the long box handed over by Elder Brother Li.
"What’s inside?" Chen Mu Yu asked curiously, sensing that Hanno's gift would surely be extraordinary.
Hanno smiled slightly. "It's an ancient instrument we restored at our Institute of Ancient History and Culture—a pipa!"
