"Such a cutie, it makes me want to have one myself."
Jia Qianjun smiled and said, "Alright, when we return to the modern world, let's get married and then have a baby."
Long Wenwen shot him a playful glare but did not object.
"Come inside and talk," Hanno and Elder Brother Li welcomed the two into their bamboo house. The dumpling slipped off Long Wenwen and ran to an open space to continue practicing swordplay.
"Really, the more I look, the cuter it gets." Long Wenwen cupped her face in her hands, her eyes sparkling with stars as she decided in her heart that she must have a child as adorable as Liu Lei.
Jia Qianjun and Long Wenwen had also arrived in this world ten years ago, but they had much more complex matters to deal with than Hanno and Elder Brother Li. It took them ten years to barely resolve the causality tied to their original bodies.
Yin Sutang and Chichengzi were not as easygoing as Yang Li and Rongbo; they were unwilling to let others occupy their bodies and often caused trouble within them. Chichengzi was manageable; his strength was inferior to Jia Qianjun's, so he was suppressed by him. However, Long Wenwen's strength was not enough to match Yin Sutang's, and she had been overpowered by him multiple times. Fortunately, Jia Qianjun intervened and managed to suppress Yin Sutang's soul. This turned out to be a turning point. Yin Sutang's soul gained memories of cultivation from another world through Long Wenwen, realizing that in that world, as long as one reached the Golden Core Stage or above, they would not fear the loss of Primordial Yin and Primordial Yang. Not only could they marry, but they could also have children; if their cultivation was sufficient, they could ascend to immortality. Unlike this world, where falling for someone was akin to committing a grave sin.
Receiving this information, Yin Sutang ultimately chose to enter the Reincarnation Mahjong body and let it be given to Long Wenwen, at the cost of her cultivation method. It was a win-win situation; Long Wenwen naturally agreed. Since Chichengzi listened closely to Yin Sutang, Jia Qianjun sent the two who had activated their cheats into Reincarnation, completely mastering both bodies. However, because they took longer to fully master their bodies and their powers were not completely integrated, both of them currently only possessed Earth Immortal cultivation without reaching true immortality.
"Yin Sutang has a disciple named Sun Lingbo, right? I hear she's not a good one and will only bring you trouble," Hanno asked, recalling the original plot.
Jia Qianjun chuckled, "Don't worry; we are just as familiar with the plot as you are. That Sun Lingbo has already gone astray; there's no turning back for her. I've decided to give Wenwen a treasure ranked highly even in Shushan World to buy out Yin Sutang's relationship with Sun Lingbo."
Hanno was curious: "What treasure?"
Jia Qianjun replied, "The Duan Yu Hook!"
Elder Brother Li exclaimed, "The weapon of Water God Gonggong? Gonggong forged it by merging Taiyi Primordial Essence with Eternal Cold Crystal into a pair of double hooks that emit a brilliant golden-red light when used together. It's also the only treasure capable of countering the Jade Box Flying Daggers left by Long-Browed Patriarch. Xiaoyue Zen Master has been searching for it."
Jia Qianjun nodded, "Now that it's in Sun Lingbo's hands, whether Xiaoyue Zen Master borrows or steals it is none of our concern."
"That's quite irresponsible!" Hanno remarked. "But you guys are really lucky to have obtained such an ancient artifact."
"I only heard about this one thing," Jia Qianjun said somewhat displeased. "We've been in Shushan World for ten years, and we haven't gained anything at all."
Long Wenwen replied with a smile, "So this time, we're here to treasure hunt together."
Hanno and Elder Brother Li had already become restless upon hearing this, and they laughed, "As long as we don't attract Emei's attention."
Jia Qianjun rolled his eyes. "Emei is the master of fortune in this world. I won't be foolish enough to let us cross paths with them."
With that, Jia Qianjun took out a piece of paper from his pocket, which was filled with writing. "This is the map of the dungeons in Shushan Heroes where I remember there are treasures. Take a look and see if there's anything we need to add."
Hanno took it and looked at it together with Elder Brother Li. The paper was densely packed with details, listing all the treasure spots in Shushan.
"We don't need to go to Wuhua Ancient Tomb," Hanno said as he crossed it off first. "We've already been there, and we've stolen the Nine Tripod Cauldrons and the Void Mirror."
"Oh, you guys are quick!" Jia Qianjun whistled.
"We went there while retrieving the White Sun Relic," Hanno continued crossing off Flower Rain Cave and Orochidera Temple. "Wei Feng wanted to repay Cui Haike for his master's kindness, so he went to these two places to find a scripture for Cui Haike. Cui Haike is now an Earth Immortal."
Hanno then crossed off Illusory Wave Pool and Yuan River.
"Illusory Wave Pool is under Saint Gu Gain's territory; her primordial spirit is still inside. Although our four strengths are not inferior to hers and we could break her restrictions, it would be troublesome if she alerted Emei."
"There are many people eyeing the treasures from the sunken ships in Yuan River; we shouldn't stick our necks out. Once Zheng Dian and his crew retrieve the ships and a battle breaks out between righteous and demonic cultivators over them, we can sneak in and take what we want."
Jia Qianjun and Long Wenwen nodded in agreement.
Hanno then crossed off Azure Wind Valley, Purple Cloud Palace, and Southern Polar Bright Realm among others. "The Eight Demons of the Blue Snail are in Azure Wind Valley, Three Phoenix Sisters are in Purple Cloud Palace, and Ten Thousand Year Cold Serpent is in Light Mirror. It's difficult to obtain treasures without alarming them."
Jia Qianjun chuckled slyly. "Don't worry about that; I have my ways to ensure we get the treasures without disturbing them."
He took out a jade vial and tossed it to Hanno. "The contents inside were crafted by me over the past ten years using techniques from the Primeval Era. Even a being close to sainthood would faint from just a whiff. There are no side effects; when they wake up, it will feel like they just took a short nap, without any abnormalities."
Hanno's eyes lit up at this, grinning with a lewd expression similar to Jia Qianjun's. "This is quite impressive! It's practically the best tool for killing and arson during home travels! How did you make it? Hurry up and teach me!"
"Good eye!" Jia Qianjun replied proudly, flicking his fingers as a small orb of light flew into Hanno's mind. Hanno relaxed his mind to accept the information transmitted by Jia Qianjun. The details were numerous and complex, containing not only the method for crafting the potion but also various alchemical techniques unique to the Primordial World. It took Hanno quite some time to sort through all the information.
Meanwhile, Jia Qianjun had already dragged Long Wenwen off to play with buns, while Elder Brother Li stayed by Hanno's side. Seeing her open her eyes, he quickly brought the prepared food in front of her. As always, the saying goes that cultivators can fast, but that meant nothing to Hanno, who was a foodie.
After eating, Hanno attempted to brew a vial of the potion. Its effectiveness was slightly inferior to Jia Qianjun's version, but it could still easily incapacitate beings above the immortal level. Once they tidied up, the four of them left the bamboo house with their buns in tow. Elder Brother Li initially intended to take the buns to Gathering Pings Island, but Hanno, Jia Qianjun, and Long Wenwen were reluctant to part with them and decided to keep them close. The buns were thrilled about their first journey and refused to let Elder Brother Li carry them, instead controlling a Flying Sword to fly in the air. Although it started off wobbly, they soon flew quite skillfully—albeit slowly. However, none of them were in a hurry and accommodated the buns as they made their way toward the East Sea. Their destination was Purple Cloud Palace since the Three Phoenixes and Dong Xiu had obstructed Rongbo's ascension in the original story and had enslaved him.
Infiltrating Purple Cloud Palace was not difficult for the five of them; both Hanno and Jia Qianjun were adept at formations, and their stealth techniques came from another world that people here could not detect. They easily entered Purple Cloud Palace. They first arrived at the core of the formation; those within Purple Cloud Palace were unaware of any intruders, so the formation remained closed. The five focused their attention on what lay ahead: a large room with walls made of white jade, at its center stood a throne surrounded by a large circle filled with numerous jade pillars each about a foot long. Upon closer inspection, these pillars varied in height and thickness, embodying the concepts of yin and yang as well as the five elements and eight trigrams. Except for one hollow pillar in the center, there were exactly forty-nine pillars aligned with the forty-nine layers of formation in the corridor. Each pillar shimmered with brilliant light and changed unpredictably; only one or two on the outer layer lacked luster. The largest pillar had seven small white dots on top resembling seven stars.
The four quickly recorded all aspects of the formation; even if Emei later occupied Purple Cloud Palace, they would not be hindered anymore. Among them, Hanno and Jia Qianjun gained significant insights into this world's formations and felt confident enough to attempt Emei Sect's Two Instruments Micro Dust Formation.
Purple Cloud Palace truly lived up to its reputation as an underwater celestial palace—emerald trees and jade forests adorned its beauty with magnificent splendor that was entirely different from scenes on land. Hanno admired it greatly but lamented that Purple Cloud Palace had already been claimed by Emei; otherwise, living here would have been delightful.
All inhabitants within Purple Cloud Palace had been incapacitated; previously gathered together for discussions were Three Phoenixes, Dong Xiu, Golden Slave, and Wisdom Pearl—all key figures now congregated in Centipede Hall. Hanno and Long Wenwen wandered around Three Phoenixes, comparing the differences among the three sisters. Indeed, they looked almost identical at first glance; however, their distinct temperaments made it easy to tell them apart. The eldest phoenix held an air of noble coldness befitting her status as palace leader; the second phoenix exuded gentleness; while Three Phoenixes seemed to have cultivated demonic arts, bearing an aura of hostility.
"What a pity for such a beautiful face," Long Wenwen remarked regretfully. "Among these three sisters, I think Er Feng is both the best and most innocent one. It's unfortunate she got dragged down by Three Phoenixes; her husband only has eyes for her elder sister while risking everything to save her sister but leaving her behind in despair."
"There's nothing that can be done; after all, she's just second in line! She's neither responsible like the eldest nor free-spirited like the youngest—being in between makes her easily overlooked. Plus, Er Feng has such a soft personality that even Dong Xiu can bully her," Hanno said sympathetically towards Er Feng just like Long Wenwen did.
