Hanno turned around to find Elder Brother Li standing in front of a woman, his hands forming a series of intricate gestures as a black light shot into her body. Hanno approached and kicked the woman lightly. "With that sour and bitter look, this must be Dong Xiu, right? What did you do to her?"
"A curse. It won't take her life, but it certainly won't let her have it easy," Elder Brother Li replied before moving to the side of Three Phoenixes and casting the same curse.
Hanno chuckled; both women deserved to suffer.
Jia Qianjun called out to the two, "Let's go, it's time to collect our treasures."
The treasures of Purple Cloud Palace were hidden in a secret chamber beneath the Golden Pavilion Jade Pillar, which was quite conspicuous. The five of them quickly arrived at the center of the golden courtyard. Jia Qianjun opened his mouth, and a ball of golden flame erupted, surrounding the main pillar in a fiery blaze. Jia Qianjun's fire was not the ordinary Three Flavors of True Fire used by typical cultivators; it was the first flame of the earth—Sun True Fire—immensely powerful. Just this one ball was more formidable than flames produced by dozens of Zhu Mei-level experts. After a brief moment, the enchantments on the main pillar were burned away, and thunderous winds roared from below, growing increasingly intense. Then came the sound of metal clashing as the main pillar suddenly began to rotate. Elder Brother Li stepped forward quickly and unleashed a surge of true energy at the pillar. It immediately stopped spinning, and all sounds ceased.
Elder Brother Li approached, cupping his hands under the base of the pillar and lifting it with a shout: "Rise!"
The pillar slowly ascended at his command. Gradually lifting about three feet off the ground, a deep cavity appeared at its base, filled with swirling colors and an enchanting fragrance.
Hanno had already prepared the Void Mirror to shine into the deep cavity while Jia Qianjun protected himself with Sun True Fire and descended into it. Long Wenwen unfurled the Gold Thread net that Hanno had lent her to capture any magical artifacts that might fly out from within. Jia Qianjun collected all the wondrous treasures from the cavity into his spatial storage, leaving behind only a jade orb containing a golden mother’s will before flying out of the hole. As Elder Brother Li released his grip, the pillar landed with a thud, and they heard a faint sound from below without any further movement.
Not only did treasures lie within the Golden Pavilion Jade Pillar's main column; other pillars also contained rare items and unknown celestial herbs, each radiating brilliant light that dazzled their eyes. The four quickly gathered these treasures into their own spaces.
When they reached the third pillar, they discovered a gourd inscribed with red characters that read "Earthly Treasures" and "One Sacred Spring." They realized it contained One True Water, a prized item from Purple Cloud Palace. Each of them filled a bottle with it, causing the water inside the gourd to diminish by half.
After completing their "clean-up," they restored Golden Pavilion Jade Pillar to its original state and swaggered out of Purple Cloud Palace. By the time those in Purple Cloud Palace regained consciousness, they had no idea what had transpired; they merely thought they had been momentarily dazed. Later on, when people from Emei arrived at Purple Cloud Palace to claim treasures, seeing nothing but empty jade pillars left behind was truly disheartening for them! The Emei members nearly cried over it!
Having plundered Purple Cloud Palace, their next destination was Moon Island, not far away. Moon Island was home to Master Lianshan's Fire Hall Immortal Abode, filled with countless treasures. People from Purple Cloud Palace had previously obtained treasures there; Zhu Mei had long set his sights on this place; Yu Yingnan acquired Separation and Union Divine Mirror here and took Fire Harmless as his disciple; many who wrote about Shushan considered Lianshan Treasure Vault an essential destination.
Entering Lianshan Treasure Vault was no easy feat; both inside and outside were engulfed in scorching flames that could reduce even Earth Immortals without protective artifacts to ashes. However, for Hanno and others who were protected by their ancestral fire spirits, entering Lianshan Treasure Vault was quite simple.
Upon entering Treasure Vault, they first saw an image of Master Lianshan, where a trace of his primordial spirit lingered. The group did not wish to confront his spirit directly; Hanno cast a spell to temporarily seal Master Lianshan's primordial spirit.
"This Master Lianshan is quite a character; it's unfortunate he had such bad luck," Jia Qianjun sighed nearby. Master Lianshan was one of Emei's predecessors; figures like Lian Miaoyi were among his juniors. In reality, these treasures were meant for Emei's juniors. Just look at how all previously leaked treasures or those later discovered were snatched back by Emei's third generation! Among his favored disciples was Yu Yingnan; not only did Master Lianshan bestow upon him the most precious and powerful Separation and Union Divine Mirror but also gifted him Fire Harmless as a disciple—a favoritism that sparked envy among others.
Hanno said, "There is a theory online that Li Yingqiong is the reincarnation of Xinyi, who has gone through several lifetimes as Master Lianshan. Otherwise, Li Yingqiong wouldn't have such strong luck and such a close relationship with Yu Yingnan!"
"Li Yingqiong? Master Lianshan?" Everyone's minds conjured an image of a young girl in her twenties and an old man with white hair, making it hard to connect the two.
"Stop overthinking it and hurry up to find the treasures!" Elder Brother Li reminded everyone. They quickly realized that this was not the time for gossip and rushed into the Treasure Vault to search for treasures. Without Master Lianshan's spirit control, the Treasure Vault opened up completely to the five of them, like a beautiful woman shedding her clothes. As they left, they passed by the location where Fire Harmless was suppressed. They heard Fire Harmless calling out, "Great ones, could you please let me out? I, Fire Harmless, will surely repay you!"
Jia Qianjun stopped in front of Fire Harmless, intrigued by this flame spirit, and asked, "What will you give us as repayment?"
Thinking he had found an opportunity, Fire Harmless quickly replied, "I have collected a few treasures that I can offer to you five as thanks."
Jia Qianjun scoffed, "We have nearly cleared out Master Lianshan's Treasure Vault; do we really care about your few worthless treasures?"
Fire Harmless fell silent.
Oh dear, if tempting them with riches doesn't work, how can I impress these five? Especially this one in front of me; there's something terrifying about him—a feeling of being suppressed at the soul level. Fire Harmless couldn't help but scratch his head.
Jia Qianjun smirked slightly. "I won't easily save a stranger, but if that person is related to me, then I will naturally save them."
Although Fire Harmless was an unusual creature, he was quite intelligent and immediately understood Jia Qianjun's implication. In the original story, he was reluctant to take Yu Yingnan as his master because her cultivation at that time was inferior to his own; why would he want to submit? Jia Qianjun laughed heartily, feeling quite pleased. He exhaled a breath of golden flame towards Fire Harmless, easily burning away Master Lianshan's restrictions on him. Fire Harmless shivered all over; he felt the might of the golden flame and excitedly asked, "Master, what kind of flame is this? It's even more powerful than the Three Flavors of True Fire!"
Jia Qianjun proudly snorted. "How can the Samadhi True Fire compare to my Sun True Fire? My Sun True Fire is the very first flame born at the beginning of the earth."
Fire Harmless stared in awe, feeling the grandeur of the presence before him. "Master, are you also a manifestation of fire?"
Jia Qianjun scoffed, "Don't compare me to you lowly beings."
Fire Harmless felt wronged. "How am I lowly? But Master must have a high status! I wonder what he is."
Fire Harmless had transformed into the appearance of a seven or eight-year-old child, dressed in fiery red clothing, his skin as white and tender as the mythical red Child. Long Wenwen, already smitten by his cuteness, nearly cried when she saw Fire Harmless tilting his head with a confused expression. She quickly explained, "Your master's true form in his past life was the Three-Legged Golden Crow, one of the most powerful deities, Eastern Emperor Taiyi."
"Eastern Emperor Taiyi?" Fire Harmless gasped, his mouth agape. The Eastern Emperor Taiyi was a legendary figure, once an emperor, and now he was his master?! Fire Harmless laughed joyfully. Oh yeah, my luck has turned! Choosing to take this person as my master is the wisest decision I've made in this lifetime.
"A hero doesn't dwell on past glories," Jia Qianjun said with an air of superiority. "Alright, let's hurry out; there are more treasures waiting for us to find!"
"Treasure?" Upon hearing those words, Fire Harmless's eyes lit up even brighter as he hurriedly followed behind him, excitedly chattering away.
6 Lei walked up to Fire Harmless, taking his hand. "Brother, hello! I'm 6 Lei. Can we be friends?"
Fire Harmless glanced at the four adults ahead and then looked down at the adorably charming 6 Lei, nodding eagerly. "Sure!"
Thus, by the time everyone emerged from the sea of flames, Fire Harmless and 6 Lei had already become very close companions.
Using their methods against the people of Purple Cloud Palace, Hanno and his group went to the Southern Polar Bright Realm, where they mesmerized the Ten Thousand Year Cold Serpent, taking half of the Fuxian Lotus. They then proceeded to Mo Long Long Xuan, using the same tactics to stealthily acquire the Seven Treasures hidden beneath the sea where Dongyang resided.
