Hanno rolled her eyes and gazed into the distance at a large red structure resembling a torii gate that came into view. She recognized it as the Nihong Temple and its characteristic building: the Torii. The Torii represents the entrance to the sacred realm, distinguishing the divine domain from the mundane world where humans reside. Its presence serves as a reminder to visitors that stepping through the Torii means entering the sacred realm, and all actions thereafter should be conducted with special care. "A shrine, huh? I wonder if there are any deities inside!"
A few girls in middle school uniforms passed by outside the tennis court, and Hanno overheard a shorter girl ask a taller one, "Gowei, does your family's talisman really work?"
Gowei? Hanno suddenly stood up. Hinata Goei? Could that shrine over there be the Sunset Shrine? Bone-Eating Well! No wonder she couldn't find Elder Brother Li in this world; he was likely in another realm!
Upon receiving news of Elder Brother Li, Hanno disregarded her younger brother and hurried toward the Sunset Shrine. Meanwhile, Queen Atobe was engrossed in her tennis match and completely unaware that her sister had abandoned her!
Without disturbing anyone from the Hinata family, Hanno arrived outside the room where the Bone-Eating Well was located. The door was tightly shut, adorned with a Shimenawa. The Shimenawa was a thick rope made of straw with white zigzag paper strips, indicating a sacred boundary. The faint divine light flickering on the Shimenawa suggested that the Sunset Shrine indeed held some significance.
Concentrating her spiritual energy into her hand, Hanno gently sliced through the Shimenawa. The divine light on it flickered and then extinguished. She opened the door and stepped inside. Gazing at the dark well, she took a deep breath and prepared to jump down. Suddenly, a pale, slender hand reached out from within the well. The hand felt unfamiliar yet familiar to Hanno; without hesitation, she grasped it firmly and pulled, bringing forth a young man dressed in traditional Nihong attire.
Hanno: "..."
Elder Brother Li: "..."
Hanno: "Your outfit looks pretty good."
Elder Brother Li opened his arms wide: "After such a long separation, shouldn't we embrace?"
Hanno leaped into Elder Brother Li's embrace.
The two quietly left the Hinata residence and sat down on a bench by the roadside to share their identities in this world and their experiences.
"Vampire Knight, Prince of Tennis, Inuyasha, Meteor Garden..." Elder Brother Li said, "This world is quite dangerous; even Hanae Rui has turned into a vampire. Luckily, we still have some means of self-defense."
"I feel like your power is incredibly strong. What is your current identity?" Hanno asked curiously. "Are you some noble or demon over there?"
"I'm a half-demon," Elder Brother Li replied somewhat gloomily. "That identity might shock you."
"Half-demon?" There are two most famous half-demons in Inuyasha—one is the main character Inuyasha, and the other is the great villain Naraku!
Hanno's mouth dropped open in surprise. "You... you can't be Naraku, can you?"
Elder Brother Li nodded solemnly. "I arrived too late; Naraku has already set his sights on Inuyasha and Balloon Flower, turning them into enemies of the two protagonists."
After a moment of silence, Hanno burst into laughter. "Haha, Wei Feng, you're in trouble!"
Elder Brother Li looked at Hanno with a helpless smile, his eyes filled with affection.
After a while, Hanno stopped laughing and said to Elder Brother Li, "What are you worried about? As long as you stay in the modern world and don’t go back to the past, Inuyasha and Balloon Flower won't be able to find you. How could they seek revenge? They probably never even considered that you would be in the modern world!"
Elder Brother Li chuckled at this. "You're right; if I don't get involved in the plot of Inuyasha, let's see how they manage to find me!"
As they were laughing, Queen Atobe came running over with her companion Bamboo Field. "This is so uncool! As an older sister, how could you leave your adorable little brother behind and run off by yourself?"
"Ah, I'm sorry, Kageki. I saw Wei Feng just now and rushed to find him without thinking about you," Hanno quickly apologized to the Queen. "How about this? I'll teach you a training method that will double your tennis skills. What do you think?"
"Really?" Kageki's eyes lit up with excitement as he asked.
Hanno replied, "When have I ever lied to you?"
Satisfied, Kageki dropped his grievances about being abandoned by his sister and turned his gaze toward Elder Brother Li.
"Who are you?" Kageki asked with hostility in his eyes.
Elder Brother Li smiled slightly, unfazed by his nephew's animosity. "Hello, I'm Wei Feng, your sister's boyfriend."
"I won't accept you as my brother-in-law!" Kageki huffed, expressing his dissatisfaction. Hanno and Elder Brother Li exchanged tolerant smiles; Kageki was simply protective of his sister and didn't want her to be taken away by a stranger.
Hanno took Elder Brother Li back to the Aizawa Family. After meeting with the Atemu Couple in their study for a while, Kageki waited outside, reveling in schadenfreude. He thought his parents would never allow his sister to date a man of unknown origins, but he was in for a surprise. The existence of demons and onmyoji was well-known among the upper echelons of Mudong Kingdom society. As long as Elder Brother Li revealed his identity as a demon, the Atemu Couple would not oppose his relationship with Hanno. In Mudong Kingdom, there wasn't much distinction between demons and deities; having a demon as a son-in-law meant future protection for the Aizawa Family. The couple would be delighted rather than opposed!
Atemu helped Elder Brother Li complete all the necessary identity procedures, although he couldn't understand why a great demon from the Mudong Kingdom would choose to take on the identity of a Chinese person. Elder Brother Li returned to ancient times and moved all the treasures collected by Naraku to the modern era, selling them all through Atemu. The wealth he acquired was almost on par with the Aizawa Group, making him a new aristocrat in Nihong. Elder Brother Li bought a house near the Aizawa Family, waiting for Hanno's age on her ID card to reach eighteen so they could register their marriage. For now, they were engaged. The Aizawa Family held a grand engagement banquet for them, inviting many upper-class individuals and celebrities from Nihong. Elder Brother Li saw Hanae Rui, who had turned into a vampire, along with three other members of F4. He also noticed Zui Sheng Ling attending the engagement banquet as a representative of the Vampire Hunter Association, members of the Hanaikain Family, representatives from the Vampire Elders Council, and Kuran Shu.
Elder Brother Li turned in surprise, "You taught Hanae Rui and Zui Sheng Ling the ghost cultivation methods from Shushan World?"
Hanno nodded, "Yeah, those two are quite pitiful, so I did a good deed."
A child ran past them, with a girl chasing after him from behind.
"Conan, don't run around!" the girl shouted after the child.
Hanno's face went blank. "What the hell? Even the Death God from Tokyo is here."
"Probably came with Sonoko Suzuki," Elder Brother Li pointed to the roof outside. "Don't call Conan a Death God; the real one is out there!"
Hanno glanced at a man dressed in a Death God outfit and said, "I hope no Hollow comes to cause trouble."
"That shouldn't happen. There are many powerful beings at the banquet; even if Hollows lack intelligence, they have instincts—how would they dare come here to seek death?"
"What about Conan? Wherever he is, there are always cases to solve!"
Elder Brother Li laughed and said, "Don't worry; I'll monitor everything with Divine Sense and ensure nothing happens."
"That's good." Hanno couldn't help but feel jealous. "Why don't I have an inherited demon form? That way I could directly convert demon power into spiritual power."
Elder Brother Li quickly reassured her, "It's better not to be a demon. You don't know how ugly their true forms can be. With your beauty, how could you possibly have an ugly body?"
Hanno shot him a glance. "Hmph! It's just Naraku's mixed demon form that's ugly; Sesshomaru's true form is magnificent and beautiful."
Elder Brother Li replied, "Wife, are you dissatisfied with my current body?"
"Ha ha, what about you?"
"You can't return it even if you're not satisfied."
Under the careful watch of Elder Brother Li, the murder incident finally did not occur. The would-be murderer was knocked out by Elder Brother Li and did not wake up until the banquet was over. The murderer, unaware of why he had fainted, thought it was a warning from the divine. After some inner turmoil, he abandoned his plan to kill—what a relief!
However, Conan, being one of the Tokyo Twin Demons, seemed to leave a trail of death wherever he went. At the banquet hosted by the Suzuki Family, Hanno and Elder Brother Li, representing the Aizawa Family, encountered yet another murder incident. Watching Conan run around the crime scene with reckless abandon due to his age, both of them felt a desire to prevent him from causing more trouble.
"Let's go check on the murderer!"
The two easily identified the murderer and found him. Hanno used Soul Transfer to extract the reasons behind the murder and the plans for execution from him.
Just like most murderers in Conan and Kindaichi have their own tragic backstories, this murderer was no different; he was seeking revenge for his sister. The murderer's sister had been sexually harassed at work, assaulted by her boss while drunk, and threatened with humiliating videos that forced her into submission. Unable to bear such disgrace, she took her own life. The boss was a hypocrite, and the murderer could find no evidence to expose his true nature. Desperate, he infiltrated the Suzuki Family's banquet with the intention of killing this scum.
"Is it worth it for such a scoundrel?" Hanno sighed and asked Elder Brother Li, "What do you think? Do you want to help?"
Elder Brother Li smiled slightly: "My current role is that of a big boss opposing the protagonist."
Hanno chuckled: "Seeing Conan get thwarted is quite enjoyable."
Elder Brother Li replied: "I'll go eliminate the evidence; you handle him."
"Okay." Once Elder Brother Li left, Hanno snapped his fingers, restoring the murderer's consciousness. Upon seeing Hanno before him, the murderer was taken aback: "Sister Atobe, what are you doing here?"
