Inuyasha let out a snort. For some reason, he just couldn't stand Wei Feng—after all, Elder Brother Li was currently Naraku, the very Naraku who had caused him so much suffering. Although Inuyasha didn't realize that the man before him was his enemy, his canine instincts were sharp, and it was perfectly normal for him to dislike Elder Brother Li.
"What kind of friend are Mr. Wei Feng and Sister Atobe looking for?" Gowei brought up the topic again. "Inuyasha and I have traveled nearly half of Nihong; we might have heard news about your friend."
Elder Brother Li smiled and said, "Thank you for your enthusiasm, Sunset Sister. My friend's name is Nurarihyon."
Gowei pondered over the name Nurarihyon, but it seemed they had not encountered anyone by that name.
Inuyasha snorted again. "Woman, stop thinking about it. You don't know Nurarihyon; he's a great yokai from Edo. But—"
Inuyasha glared at Elder Brother Li. "Aren't you human? How do you know such a big yokai?"
Hanno chuckled lightly. "Isn't Inuyasha also a yokai? Sunset Sister and Sister Kaede know you well!"
Inuyasha was left speechless.
Gowei curiously asked Hanno and Elder Brother Li why they were looking for the great yokai Nurarihyon.
Hanno sighed softly. "Sister Kagome must not have returned to the modern world for some time now; she probably doesn't know that something significant has happened there."
Gowei hurriedly asked with concern, "What has happened in the modern world?"
"It's Yorihime; she has gone to war with the Hanaikain Family and the Nura Clan." Hanno recounted the plot of "Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan" to Gowei and the others.
Gowei listened with great worry and said to Hanno and Elder Brother Li, "Although my strength isn't strong, please allow me and Inuyasha to join you and help."
Hanno smiled. "That would be wonderful!"
After some discussion, it was decided that Gowei and Inuyasha would return to the modern world first. They would wait for Hanno and Elder Brother Li to find Nurarihyon before heading to Sunset Shrine to meet them, then they would all travel together to Kyoto.
"Since Edo is quite far from the village, why don't you two ride my bicycle?" Gowei, concerned that Hanno and the other person would find it troublesome and time-consuming to walk in search of the monster, kindly offered her bicycle.
"No need," Hanno replied, feeling a good impression of the principled girl. "We have a car."
"A car?" Gowei turned her head left and right. "Where is it? I don't see it anywhere."
Hanno pointed to the open space outside the house, and suddenly, a Silber Car appeared out of thin air. Seeing such a flashy sports car, both Gowei and Inuyasha dropped their jaws in astonishment.
"What kind of trick is this that makes a car appear out of nowhere?" Inuyasha asked suspiciously, realizing that the two before him were not ordinary.
Hanno explained, "This is a spell we learned from Huaxia called 'Sleeve Universe,' which allows us to carry things in a compact space."
"Huaxia magic!" Kaede exclaimed. "I've heard that Huaxia's spirit realm is very mysterious and powerful. I didn't expect you two to have learned their spells."
Inuyasha remained skeptical. "I don't sense any spiritual energy from you. How are you using magic?"
Hanno replied, "Isn't it obvious? The spirit realm of Huaxia is mysterious and powerful; they not only have spells like 'Embroidered Universe' but also spells that can conceal one's spiritual energy. Wei Feng, show a bit of your power for Inuyasha to see."
Elder Brother Li cast a meaningful glance at Inuyasha and subtly released a hint of Spiritual Energy. He understood Hanno's intention; this way, Inuyasha would believe he was merely a human who had learned Huaxia's magical arts, completely unrelated to demons. Little did they know that Elder Brother Li was actually Naraku, the one they had been searching for.
"Gowei, what are you doing?" Inuyasha pulled Gowei back beside him, embarrassed by her earlier behavior as she nearly leaned over the car.
Gowei didn't feel embarrassed at all; instead, she excitedly explained to Inuyasha, "Inuyasha, do you know what kind of car this is? It's a Silber Car, she1bysuperars—the most expensive sports car in the world! The cheapest ones cost over eight hundred million Nihong yen."
Inuyasha scoffed dismissively. "So what? No matter how fast it is, can it outrun me?"
Gowei rolled her eyes. "You can't compare that, country bumpkin."
"Who are you calling a country bumpkin? Violent girl, foolish woman!"
“Inuyasha—sit!”
“Bang—”
Kagome calmly addressed Hanno and Elder Brother Li, “I hope you two aren’t laughing at the spectacle.”
Hanno chuckled, “The bond between Gowei and Inuyasha is truly something!”
She had seen this kind of situation many times while watching cartoons, so she was unfazed.
Hanno and Elder Brother Li quickly found Nurarihyon while driving. Upon seeing Elder Brother Li, the leader of the yokai was very pleased. “Wei Feng, you’ve finally returned. This must be the person you were looking for, right? Not bad, quite beautiful, just like my Sakura Hime—a real beauty.”
Hanno smiled lightly, having a good impression of this great yokai.
Elder Brother Li stepped forward and embraced Nurarihyon. “I owe you a lot; without your help in finding the Bone-Eating Well, I wouldn’t have located Nono so quickly.”
Nurarihyon replied, “Oh, it was nothing. Come on, let’s head back and celebrate properly. By the way, bring out those fine wines you’ve been saving.”
Elder Brother Li had brought back quite a few exquisite wines from other worlds and even the modern world. The taste was incomparable to the inferior brews of today; after tasting them once, Nurarihyon had been craving Elder Brother Li’s wine.
Elder Brother Li pulled out two bottles of Moutai and handed them to Nurarihyon. “Save these for later, but we don’t have time to celebrate right now. You need to come with us quickly.”
He then got into Nurarihyon's sports car.
“What’s going on? What happened?” Nurarihyon scratched his head in confusion.
Elder Brother Li drove while explaining, “Yorihime has been resurrected and is about to face your grandson in battle. Aren’t you going to help?”
“What? Grandson?” Nurarihyon squinted suspiciously. “My son hasn’t even married yet; where would a grandson come from?”
Elder Brother Li chuckled, "Did you forget why I went to the Bone-Eating Well?"
"To find your wife in another world!" Nurarihyon suddenly realized, "Are you saying that the world you went to is the future?"
Elder Brother Li nodded, "That's right, it's four hundred years into the future. Yorihime has escaped from her seal and thrown that world’s Kyoto into chaos. Your grandson and the Hanaikain Family are about to face Yorihime in a decisive battle."
"My grandson?" Nurarihyon was initially pleased, but then his expression darkened with rage. "Yorihime dares to bully my grandson? This time, I will not let her off easily; I will send her straight to the Underworld."
...
Upon returning to the present from the Bone-Eating Well, Hanno immediately called Kudo Xinyi and Kuran Shu, instructing them to gather in front of Sunset Shrine. When Kudo Xinyi saw Nurarihyon drinking with Inuyasha, his eyes widened. He had previously known Kuran Shu's identity, but Kuran Shu looked just like a human, which was within his realm of acceptance. However, the sudden appearance of these two individuals with obvious youkai traits was too much for him. At that moment, Xinyi deeply realized that this world was truly not as simple as he had thought!
Gowei was floating on pink bubbles upon seeing the two handsome guys. Kudo Xinyi was a high school detective often featured in newspapers, an idol for all high school and middle school students; while Kuran Shu? Noble and elegant, like a prince, he had an immense appeal to girls. Gowei clasped her face, her eyes sparkling.
Inuyasha scoffed, "What's so great about a bat?"
Kuran Shu smiled slightly, "Indeed, it can't compare to a dog demon who loves to wag its tail!"
Inuyasha furiously drew his Iron Shattered Fang: "Bastard! If you dare, let's see who can knock out more teeth!"
Gowei felt Inuyasha's behavior was embarrassing: "Inuyasha, sit down!"
With a loud thud, a large hole formed in the ground where someone had landed.
Kudo Xinyi twitched his mouth: no wonder they were youkai; their physical resilience was impressive.
Nurarihyon chuckled lightly, "Ah, young people are really full of energy!"
Kudo Xinyi, Kuran Shu, Nurarihyon, Hinata Goei, Inuyasha, along with Hanno and Elder Brother Li—seven people in total—could not fit into a sports car. Hanno called back to the Aizawa Family to arrange for a helicopter to take everyone to Kyoto. However, Kyoto was completely shrouded in dark youkai energy; the helicopter could not land and had to drop off the seven at the outskirts of Kyoto. They would have to rely on their own abilities to reach the location where Nurarihyon's grandson would confront Yorihime.
Hanno and Elder Brother Li were not ordinary; they could teleport to the past in an instant. However, to keep a low profile, they chose to use their lightness skills instead. Kuran Shu sprouted a pair of black wings from his back, soaring into the sky. Gowei climbed onto Inuyasha's back, who then took off running with him. Nurarihyon also flew up, casually bringing along Kudo Xinyi. Kudo Xinyi's face turned pale; he was flying! This experience... well, it was quite novel!
...
Nura Rokuro and Flowering Courtyard were at a disadvantage. Yorihime's power was overwhelming, and it seemed that Abe no Seimei was about to be resurrected in this world. Nura Rokuro panicked and turned to his grandfather, asking, "Grandpa, didn't you say there would be powerful reinforcements coming to help us? Where are they?"
Nura Grandpa had regained his youthful appearance and replied without worry, "Don't worry; they'll be here soon."
Hanaikain Shuyuan frowned, "If Abe no Seimei is resurrected, it won't matter if they come."
Nura Grandpa chuckled, "Rest assured, the ones coming are quite capable. Even if Abe no Seimei comes back, they can send him back to the underworld."
"Who are they?" Hanaikain Yura asked curiously.
Nura Grandpa grinned, "You'll know when you see them."
Nura Rokuro sighed in frustration, "Grandpa, please don't keep us in suspense at such a critical moment!"
Nura Grandpa laughed cheerfully and pointed into the distance. "No need to ask; they're here!"
