Naval G Branch Fortress, the closest island to Naval Headquarters in Grand Line Paradise, was under the command of Admiral Gumeir.
"This coffee is truly terrible," Admiral Gumeir remarked, taking a sip of the bitter brew that barely went down, trickling from the corner of his mouth.
Moreover, the entire conference room felt overwhelmingly oppressive.
"Let's adjourn."
With a wave of his hand, Admiral Gumeir left the conference room, coffee in hand, and stepped into the corridor, gazing out the window into the distance.
"What is that?"
He looked towards the Coast, where a massive beast was slowly crawling up onto the shore.
"Sea Kings?"
Admiral Gumeir was momentarily taken aback, but in the next instant, the giant creature vanished from sight.
"Heart!"
He shouted, but it was too late. With a thunderous roar, the entire branch fortress began to tremble violently as it started to collapse.
"Damn it."
Gumeir gritted his teeth, tossing aside his coffee with his left hand while his right hand grasped the hilt of his sword.
Whoosh.
The long blade was drawn, slicing through the collapsing boulders before him. With a powerful push from his legs, he leaped into the air.
As the surrounding walls crumbled bit by bit, he continued to leap upward, climbing higher until he broke through the fortress and soared into the sky.
Hmm?
He stepped down from a massive rock, slowly descending as he gazed at the scene below, his expression frozen in shock.
The entire fortress had begun to collapse from the bottom, as if someone had hollowed it out from beneath. The once-mighty structure was now in ruins, reduced to mere debris.
Thud.
Admiral Gumeir stood atop the rubble, surveying the devastation with a face full of anger as he looked into the distance.
Crash.
With a loud roar, a colossal creature emerged from the wreckage, bits of stone falling away from its body as it raised its head and let out a tremendous bellow.
"Roar."
The roar shook the ground and echoed all around. Some Sailors who had not yet entered the square and were still nearby fell to the ground, overwhelmed by the sound.
"What an overwhelming presence."
Gumeir watched as one Sailor after another collapsed under the oppressive aura that spread through the area. He felt a twinge of fear in his heart as he turned his gaze toward the beast. His expression hardened. "Isn't that the giant beast from Baroque Works?"
Its body was covered in massive black scales, with six long legs planted firmly on the ground.
It sported enormous horns, with two nearly two-meter-long spikes protruding from its head, and its tall dorsal fin resembled a gigantic sickle.
Its back was lined with bony plates, and its tail also bore similar armor, with sharp bone spines jutting out from its end.
As it let out its long howl, a terrifying and oppressive aura radiated from it.
"It actually destroyed the fortress."
Gumir tightened his grip on the long sword, and with a leap, his figure vanished in an instant.
“Die!”
Gumir reappeared above the giant beast, bringing both swords down in a fierce strike.
Clang.
The two blades struck Xiaqiu's neck, but the latter remained unscathed.
“Is that all? You think you can hurt me without Armament Haki?”
Xiaqiu scoffed, knowing that without Armament Haki, he only needed to use Iron Body to withstand the attack.
“Useless?”
Gumir paused for a moment, astonished that he could sever the heads of massive Sea Kings but couldn't inflict even a scratch on this creature.
But in that instant, two Tentacles shot toward Gumir.
“Bring it on.”
Gumir stepped in mid-air, propelling himself upward.
Moon Step.
He evaded the two tentacle strikes, but the next moment, two more Tentacles were already closing in from both front and back.
“So fast.”
Gumir gripped his swords tightly, swinging them as a glimmer of cold light flashed through the air.
Swish, swish.
The twin blades struck against two tentacles. He thought he could sever them, but instead, they remained unscathed, replaced by an overwhelming force.
Gumir gritted his teeth, holding firm against the two tentacles, his figure flickering before appearing in the distance.
"Impressive."
Gumir gazed at the colossal beast in the distance, feeling somewhat frustrated.
His slashes could cut through steel; even the Sea Kings of Doldrums would have their heads severed by him.
Yet, against this giant creature before him, it had no effect whatsoever.
"It seems I need to use Haki."
Gumir thought to himself as he gripped his Zanpakuto tightly, fixating his gaze on Xiaqiu.
Though he knew that the Demon Spider Vice Admiral had perished at its hands, the information indicated that the ship was shattered and the Demon Spider Vice Admiral fell into the sea.
On land, however, Gumir did not believe he would be defeated.
In that instant, Xiaqiu's form vanished from sight. The next moment, it reappeared right in front of him, its massive jaws snapping toward him, teeth bared and ready to engulf him.
"Finger Gun."
Using Shave to close the distance and concentrating all his power into his teeth for the attack upon contact with the enemy.
This was a combination of Shave and Finger Gun.
Just this collision alone could easily pierce through steel.
"Good to see you."
Facing the tooth in front of him, Gumir gripped his twin blades, coating them with Armament Haki. The two swords crossed, their edges aimed forward, and then he pushed off with his legs, charging ahead.
"Double Fish Slash."
The point where the twin blades crossed collided instantly with Xiaqiu's tooth.
In Gumir's mind, this strike would slice through Xiaqiu's tooth, and with his momentum and the opponent's advance, he could easily cleave through the opponent's skull.
But in the next moment.
Crack.
Gumir's first blade shattered instantly, while the second blade was crushed against him by an overwhelming force, continuing to press down until it adhered to his body.
The immense power still penetrated, forcing its way into Gumir's body along the blade.
Bang.
Gumir was sent flying, spitting out a mouthful of blood mid-air as that tremendous force continued to erupt within him.
"How could this be?"
Gumir's expression was one of confusion. Why was the opponent's strength so immense, able to disregard Armament Haki?
These two blades of his included the Good Quick Blade Fifty Crafts and the Great Cleaver Twenty-One Work, with the latter being a Black Blade.
Moreover, both swords were imbued with Armament Haki; even the first blade had a toughness comparable to that of a Black Blade.
Yet the result was that the first blade shattered completely, and while the second blade remained intact, it returned without accomplishing anything.
"Do you think you can stop me?"
Xiaqiu let out a cold smile, now just seventy meters away, with nearly four hundred tons of weight behind him.
Not only that, but the impact of his charge, combined with his full strength and the infusion of Armament Haki, was simply unstoppable.
With one blow, he sent Gumir flying and immediately charged again towards Gumir.
Gumir flew backward, gritting his teeth as he pulled his left foot back in mid-air to brace himself.
Whoosh.
Gumir leaped upward, narrowly avoiding Xiaqiu's collision.
However, just as he regained his balance, a massive dorsal fin came crashing toward him.
"Break it!"
Gumir gripped his long sword tightly in his right hand and once more concentrated Armament Haki to slash forward.
Clang.
The Black Blade collided with Xiaqiu's first dorsal fin. The tremendous force surged through, pushing the Black Blade back once again, along with the thick fin that slammed into his body.
Boom.
Gumir was sent flying once more, spitting out a mouthful of blood while trying to stabilize himself in mid-air. He stepped in the air but found himself unable to ascend; he could only leap sideways and slowly descend to the ground.
But just as he landed, the giant beast had already vanished from sight.
"Behind you."
Gumir immediately raised the knife in his hand and slashed backward.
Clang.
The Black Blade blocked the massive teeth, but as Xiaqiu's mouth closed, Gumir felt the pressure of the knife in his hand gradually being forced down.
Just as the sharp teeth were about to touch Gumir's head, he pushed off with his legs and vanished in an instant.
Whoosh.
Gumir reappeared twenty meters away, barely steadying himself when Xiaqiu charged at him again.
However, Gumir flickered and disappeared once more, darting to the left.
But at that moment, a strange force swept over him, compressing his body.
"Conqueror's Haki."
Gumir was startled; as a Vice Admiral-level powerhouse, Conqueror's Haki couldn't harm him directly.
Yet it still had some effect on him.
Gumir's movements slowed slightly, and in that instant, three Wave Slashes came rushing toward him as if they had been anticipated.
Storm Leg.
"What the hell is this?"
Gumir was taken aback. He swung his long knife horizontally, creating a massive Wave Slash that collided with the three incoming Wave Slashes.
Crack.
Four Wave Slashes shattered completely, but in the next moment, four Tentacles appeared around him, each striking towards his head, left chest, right chest, and leg.
"This is bad."
Gumir tightened his grip on the long blade and made a circular motion with his right hand.
"Scarlet Cloud Slash."
The long blade swiftly cut through the four Tentacles, sending them flying away.
However, at that instant, one leg quickly closed in, aiming to stomp down on him.
"Dodge!"
Gumir gripped the Black Blade and swung it forward with all his might.
Clang.
The Black Blade blocked Xiaqiu's claw, but the immense force erupted towards Gumir.
"Get out of here."
Gumir immediately used that force to propel himself backward, retreating rapidly.
But just as he moved back, a massive shadow loomed over him.
Xiaqiu opened its enormous mouth and lunged at him.
Faced with Xiaqiu's maw, Gumir attempted to raise his blade to defend again, but with a crack, the Black Blade shattered.
Though the Black Blade was resilient, it also had its limits.
Especially the power of Xiaqiu was overwhelming; even a general could not possess such strength.
Combined with Armament Haki, the force surged through the blade, continuously impacting its structure.
Adding to this was Gumir's own strength.
Thus, during the final clash, the Black Blade could no longer withstand the pressure. When Gumir attempted to exert force once more, the blade shattered.
Faced with Xiaqiu's massive jaws, Gumir found himself unable to evade and could only raise his arm to brace against Xiaqiu's teeth.
"Tooth Spear."
Xiaqiu's teeth, enveloped in Haki, gathered all of its power and collided with Gumir's arm, which was also covered in Armament Haki.
It was utterly unresistable.
The teeth crushed his arm and continued downward, but Gumir used that momentum to leap back, trying to distance himself further.
However, this only bought him a moment of respite, as Xiaqiu charged again, using Shave to slam into Gumir while opening its mouth wide.
Gumir wanted to retreat, but his speed was far too slow compared to Xiaqiu.
Gumir could manage twenty-five meters per second; that was already the limit of Shave.
But Xiaqiu could leap seventy meters in an instant.
As a result, when Gumir retreated halfway, he remained within Xiaqiu's striking range. Seeing the massive jaws approaching, despair washed over his face.
Thud.
When Xiaqiu reappeared, its mouth was now forty meters behind Gumir's previous position, and within its jaws lay Gumir's lifeless body.
Crunch.
Xiaqiu's teeth closed around Admiral Gumeir's body, crushing it and swallowing it whole.
"Finally, it's over."
Xiaqiu looked at the terrified Sailors around, exhaling a sigh of relief. Taking down a Vice Admiral all by oneself, especially on land, was no small feat.
Xiaqiu felt a surge of satisfaction, raising his head and letting out a tremendous roar.
Roar.
The massive sound echoed through the area, carrying an inexplicable pressure that made everyone tremble.
"It's time to leave."
Xiaqiu did not hesitate; this place was relatively close to Naval Headquarters. The Admirals would likely have received word by now, and if even one of them showed up, he would be unable to escape.
Xiaqiu turned and ran toward the sea, diving into the ocean and swimming away into the distance.
As he moved forward, the energy provided by Admiral Gumeir spread throughout his body.
In terms of Enhanced Energy, Admiral Gumeir surpassed Demon Spider Vice Admiral slightly because Gumeir lacked Devil Fruit abilities, yet his physical strength was not inferior to the latter's.
Next was Haki; his Armament Haki had increased again, while his Observation Haki did not see much improvement.
It seemed that Admiral Gumeir had only trained in Armament Haki, but in terms of quantity, he had provided much more than Oni Spider.
After nearly two years of training, Xiaqiu's own Armament Haki had improved significantly. Now with this new Haki, it became even more formidable.
Waiting for the Heat Flow in his body to dissipate, Xiaqiu immediately swam toward the Surface of the Sea. He burst through the surface and began to ascend.
Moon Step.
Xiaqiu stepped on the water and soared into the air, lightly stepping several times before slowly descending back into the water.
The Moon Step had been mastered.
He had already learned Shave, Iron Body, Paper Drawing, Finger Gun, and Storm Leg, but due to his physical condition, he struggled with the feedback force from stepping on the air, making it difficult for his large frame to walk in the sky.
However, after consuming Admiral Gumeir, his physical abilities had once again improved, allowing him to achieve this.
His Shave distance could also be enhanced, and even Storm Leg would undergo a qualitative change.
More importantly, his body had been reinforced once more.
With the energy from Demon Spider Vice Admiral, Admiral Gumeir, and Blackbeard, he had absorbed the power of three Vice Admirals.
Crocodile, r1, and Bakis provided energy at the Major General level.
In addition, Madison, Yuchimura, and Lafitte contributed Commodore level energy.
Van Auga, Poison Q, Pern, and Lion Leon represented the energy of colonels in the headquarters.
Along with countless pirates and the Navy.

That was enough.
Within his planned timeframe, Xiaqiu had met the initial requirements of his plan.
And his strategy had begun even before attacking Gumir. Consuming Gumir had successfully completed part of the plan.
The second step of the plan could now proceed.
Head to Aiven Island in Kars Kingdom and contact the Revolutionary Army.
There are three days left until June 1st, so I can arrive there on time as agreed.
After contacting the Revolutionary Army, my subordinates should be fully prepared.
It is time to head to the New World and complete my plan.
