Chen Rui did not linger in the lobby; after leaving the kitchen, he took the elevator directly to the thirteenth floor. The entire hotel’s thirteenth floor is dedicated to the company’s business office area. The guest elevators cannot directly reach floors two through thirteen. 0

The thirteenth floor serves as the office area for A Group, entirely transformed into a large collective office with six divided sections. Four of these areas belong to the Action Team, Coordination Group, Support Team, and Recording Team, while there is also a large conference room and a spacious reception area. 0

Chen Rui does not have a private office; he usually works directly in the large conference room. Initially, almost everyone scoffed at this showy behavior, but as time passed, most people in the group came to understand this approach. It is indeed showy, but if every leader can showcase a bit of themselves, it is certainly not a bad thing. Moreover, the decor of the large conference room is very formal and not suitable for use as an office. 0

As Chen Rui entered the elevator to the thirteenth floor, there was a corridor after exiting where guest identities are checked; this is one of the security measures. 0

A mechanical voice coldly announced, “Chen Rui, authorization level B, personnel for this floor.” Only when Chen Rui reached the end did the glass door slowly slide open. The strength of this high-density quartz glass is incredibly high; there are probably very few people in the world who could break it with bare hands. 0

Upon entering the conference room, what struck Chen Rui was the vast emptiness of the space before him, which inevitably gave a sense of loneliness. He had unknowingly grown fond of this feeling over time. His first instinct was generally to avoid others, except for a few individuals who did not give him that feeling and instead made him feel close. 0

Chen Rui could not explain this phenomenon; he could only hope earnestly that he wouldn’t be disliked by others since those few individuals were truly too few. 0

Chen Rui walked to the round table and swiped his work ID to turn on the computer. 0

"You're back? The cocktail party isn't over yet, is it?" A pleasant female voice floated through the conference room. 0

"Ah, yes, it seems this batch of clients is a bit difficult to handle," Chen Rui replied with a smile, his fingers flying across the touchscreen. 0

"That sounds tough. Do you need a cup of coffee?" The girl didn't enter the conference room but stood at the door. 0

"I prefer red tea; could you please brew a cup for me?" Chen Rui said with a wry smile, wondering how many times he had repeated this exchange. She just couldn't remember; it seemed she really liked coffee. 0

"Sorry, I forgot again. I'll go get it right now." The girl stuck out her tongue and dashed away. 0

Chen Rui sighed. Ever since he took over as the head of the Action Team, many things had become beyond his control, including this rather clueless assistant. He had heard that she was the daughter of someone high up in the company, but Chen Rui dismissed that notion. 0

If she were truly from the upper echelons, well, that would mean she was directly connected to the members of the Central Political Bureau. It was hard to believe that these people would send their precious daughter here to be a secretary. Moreover, this girl clearly came from an ordinary family; after a week of interaction, Chen Rui had confirmed this. The key issue was how such a naive girl managed to get into the company and become an assistant to the team leader with a level C authorization. 0

Forget about being an assistant; at first, she couldn't even serve tea properly. It was obvious this was her first job. If she really were the daughter of someone influential, then that raised more questions and created a deadlock in reasoning. 0

In the end, Chen Rui decided not to dwell on these matters and treated her like a waitress instead. Gradually, she learned some things that allowed her to be somewhat helpful. 0

"The detailed information you requested is in that folder; there's nothing else worth noting," the girl said as she placed the tea tray on Chen Rui's left side and served him tea. 0

"No need to be so formal; I can do it myself," Chen Rui interrupted her actions, taking the teacup himself while quickly tapping on the table with his left hand, fingers glowing red. 0

"Um, Liang Yu, I want to ask you something," Chen Rui said as he looked at Liang Yu. 0

"Go ahead and ask," Liang Yu said as he settled into another chair, the seat gently swiveling under him. 0

"Where did you gather all this information?" Chen Rui asked, lifting his teacup and taking a sip. 0

"Through company channels, of course." 0

"Oh," Chen Rui chuckled lightly. Xiong Kai's route was through the company's intelligence division, and while they were on the same level as Liang Yu, it was clear that Liang Yu's information was far more comprehensive than Xiong Kai's. 0

First: The true relationship between Yu Shiming and Liu Xiwen was that they were already married, though it seemed no one knew about it. This was something that could only be found through the intranet, and although the company was state-controlled, due to systemic issues, there was no access to the intranet. 0

Second: When Guo Luxing served as Vice President, the profits of Eternal Prosperity Trading increased year after year. However, since Guo Luxing's resignation, Yongchang's profits had stagnated or even declined over the past two years. 0

Third: Xu Yao had once signed an agreement to transfer all his shares to Xu Tao, but this agreement remained with a third-party witness and had not yet been made public or executed. 0

Fourth: The funding source for Zhang Shi's Jicheng Investment was the Ministry of Finance! Moreover, it was not a publicly disclosed flow of funds. 0

The existence of these four points significantly increased the amount of information available. Chen Rui was also contemplating how to handle the aftermath with those seven individuals. 0

True after-sales service did not refer to the three options Chen Rui presented on stage; those were merely customer benefits. His main task was to fulfill genuine after-sales service. 0

Real service must meet the psychological needs of customers to build greater trust in the company, which would lead to more funding channels directed toward the ultimate plan. 0

Given the current situation, Guo Luxing and Lin Yan's group should be the easiest to resolve. Relationship issues often follow feelings, and currently, their relationship seemed to be progressing well, making it relatively straightforward. 0

Next were Xu Yao and Xu Tao. Their ultimate goal was clear: to mend their relationship. Although implementing this would be challenging—perhaps they didn't even know the root of their rift—at least there was a final objective in sight. 0

The most troublesome were Zhang Shi and Yu Shiming. Their intentions were unclear from the start. Initially, it was thought that Yu Shiming and Liu Xiwen were similar to Guo Luxing, but that turned out not to be the case. 0

Zhang Shi was particularly vague, showing no clear purpose. It seemed there might be some government background involved, possibly someone sent down from higher-ups to investigate issues. The upper management was quite satisfied with A Group's execution but had the worst attitude towards them, likely due to Chen Rui's relaxed management style. 0

"This is really troublesome," Chen Rui said as he took another sip of tea, smiling. "Comrade Liang, your tea-making skills are getting better and better. Have you considered opening a tea house after you retire? It's all the rage now." 0

"Uncle, who told you that young people like tea houses?" Liang Yu replied in a playful manner, which genuinely amused Chen Rui. 0

"Oh! You're just a few years younger than me! If you call me Uncle, I might as well start calling you Auntie." 0

"You dare!" Liang Yu shot him a glare, which brought Chen Rui back to reality. After two years in power, he had unwittingly fostered this kind of familiarity within A Group. 0

They treated the workplace like home. While this seemed to bring relationships closer, it made them appear naive and oblivious to the outside world or the upper management's expectations. 0

"It seems it's time for a bit of restructuring," Chen Rui said as he turned to face the screen, looking at the photos of seven individuals displayed there. He suddenly felt a lack of motivation. "Why is it that every troublesome person ends up in our group?" 0

"Isn't it because the higher-ups value us?" Liang Yu replied. As she spoke, Chen Rui imagined a college student with clenched fists filled with determination. 0

"I really suspect you're a spy sent down by the upper management!" Chen Rui laid his head on the table, burying his face between his arms in an attempt to rest before the meeting began. 0

"You look tired enough; I won't bother you anymore," Liang Yu said as she collected the tea tray and quietly left the conference room. 0

What exactly was her background? Her reaction seemed so natural; it couldn't have been an act. So why did she hold such high authority? Chen Rui pondered. 0

He opened the employee file folder and clicked on the document labeled 'Liang Yu.' 0

Name: Liang Yu 0

Gender: Female 0

Date of Birth: 7th of the month 0

Education Background: Entered Xiang High School on September 1, 2018... 0

Work Experience: Joined the company on January 5, 2025... 0

The document was closed. 0

Once again, Chen Rui leaned on the desk and chuckled to herself, "If there really is a problem, how could I possibly find it here?" 0

"Chen Rui! Chen Rui!" A familiar voice called out, and Chen Rui opened her eyes to see Liang Yu. 0

"Why are you back again? Didn't you say you wouldn't disturb me?" Chen Rui smiled, suddenly realizing that the light in front of her was a bit blinding. 0

"Have you lost track of time while sleeping? Look at what time it is now," Liang Yu said, pulling out her phone to show Chen Rui. 0

The screen clearly displayed the time: 5:00. 0

"Cough, cough, cough. Looks like when no one is around, you sleep soundly, huh?" A familiar voice came from behind—Peng Hao's teasing tone. 0

"Peng Boss, do you often forget things since you're such an important person? When are you planning to resolve that issue from last time?" Liang Yu turned around and smiled at Peng Hao. 0

"Well, let's hurry up." Peng Hao stopped bothering Chen Rui and found his own seat. After sitting down, he kept winking at Chen Rui. 0

Seeing this, Chen Rui quietly raised his middle finger and said to Liang Yu, "What's going on? This guy Peng Hao is like a dead pig that isn't afraid of boiling water. You actually have something on him." 0

Liang Yu chuckled and explained, "It's nothing much, just that he owes me some money." 0

Noticing the time was already 5:55, Liang Yu saw that the room was only about eighty percent full and opened the floor intercom to urge everyone, "The meeting is about to start. Those who haven't arrived, please come quickly." 0

This was one of those strange things that only happened in A Group; in other teams, everyone would be present half an hour before the meeting started, waiting for the leader to make their entrance. Chen Rui observed this and a thought about discipline took root in his mind. 0

"Let the meeting officially begin. Please welcome the leader to speak," Liang Yu gestured to Chen Rui. 0

Chen Rui nodded lightly. "The 178th internal report meeting of Action Team begins now..." 0

(Note: The 178th action should be read as "one-two-seven-eight," which does not indicate that there have been a total of 178 actions; it's just a code name that will be explained later.) 0
