"Ding ding, ding ding!" The laptop on the desk started ringing again. 0

Chen Rui released Li Xue from his embrace and walked over to the laptop. There were two new emails, one was a report from the police department, and the other was a request for assistance. 0

On the electronic map, a red dot was flashing above Las Vegas Boulevard, indicating the target area. 0

Seeing this, Chen Rui smiled slightly. "I've gotten confused again." 0

"What's wrong?" Li Xue asked as she approached. 0

"They've finally shown themselves," Chen Rui remarked. Yes, he was almost certain that the group responsible for the attack on the casino hotel on Las Vegas Boulevard was Li Li and her associates. 0

"Now that you know, do you have a backup plan? What are you going to do?" Li Xue asked with a mischievous smile. "Just because I'm standing next to you doesn't mean I'll help you later." 0

Chen Rui reached out to ruffle Li Xue's hair and chuckled. "That's exactly the effect I wanted." 0

Chen Rui and Li Xue headed straight to the rooftop. The helicopter engine had already started after receiving orders, and as soon as they opened the door, a strong wind rushed towards them. 0

"Where to?" the pilot asked, flipping a row of switches. 0

"To the New York New York Hotel on Las Vegas Boulevard. You know the way, right?" Chen Rui said as he and Li Xue boarded the helicopter. Due to the two mounted machine guns, the sliding doors on both sides of the aircraft couldn't close completely. Chen Rui had to sit down and fasten his seatbelt before he felt safe enough to let the pilot take off. 0

"You're going in alone like this?" Li Xue asked. 0

"Of course! Do you know what it means to charge into battle alone? I will strike decisively," Chen Rui replied with a grin. 0

Seeing Chen Rui's smiling face, Li Xue gently slapped his cheek. "You shamelessly think of yourself as a god?" 0

"I'm not a god," Chen Rui shook his head and whispered something in Li Xue's ear with a smile. 0

As Li Xue chuckled foolishly, Chen Rui activated the radio intercom. "Attention all teams! Attention all teams! At all costs, take down the enemies in front of you as quickly as possible, then head to the New York New York Hotel!" 0

"At all costs?" Ye Han asked. 0

"Yes, you must resolve your current situations as fast as you can, then rush to the New York New York Hotel together! We need to arrive simultaneously and surround the casino hotel from all directions!" Chen Rui emphasized the key point: they had to arrive at the same time and form a blockade around the casino. 0

"Understood." 0

"Got it!" 0

Chen Rui sighed and turned off the intercom, shouting loudly at the pilot, "How long until we arrive?" 0

"Almost there, less than a minute!" the co-pilot replied. "These two cannons are too heavy; the plane is nearly at full capacity!" 0

"Full capacity is fine; as long as we don't drop anything, we're good," Chen Rui shrugged, comfortably leaning back in his seat, his eyes seeming to struggle to stay open. 0

"We've reached the destination. Should we land?" the pilot asked. 0

"No need, just hover low," Chen Rui said as he unbuckled his seatbelt and fully opened the sliding doors on both sides of the aircraft. Grabbing onto the handrail in the middle of the cabin, the wind from the spinning propellers caused Chen Rui's coat to flutter dramatically, giving him a rather dashing appearance. 0

The helicopter hovered about fifteen meters above the entrance of the casino hotel. The pilot turned his head. "At this height, if we want to ensure enough fuel for our return, we can only stay for about forty minutes!" 0

"Understood, but I doubt it will take that long," Chen Rui replied with a smile. 0

Due to the presence of robbers, all tourists who could leave the New York New York Hotel had already done so; those who hadn't were likely being held hostage. The security personnel of the casino hotel were nowhere to be seen, probably cleared out before they began their operation. 0

Now, before Chen Rui lay an entire hotel that resembled a dead city, devoid of any life. 0

As Chen Rui expected, it wasn't long before three figures emerged, directly facing the helicopter. 0

"It seems we lost after all," one man said lightly, removing his bulletproof helmet to reveal a face that wasn't particularly handsome but was certainly easy on the eyes, much like the older brother next door. 0

"Ah, when will we ever get what we want?" another man said with a bitter smile, also taking off his helmet and habitually tossing his long bangs, wearing a mischievous expression that could charm countless girls. 0

"You two, throwing yourselves in without even knowing the opponent's cards. When we were playing that game earlier, I didn't see you being this reckless," a woman chimed in. As she took off her helmet, her long hair cascaded down like a waterfall. However, those familiar with her wouldn't mistake her gentle appearance for true softness. 0

"My! Can you guess his cards?" the handsome man with long bangs retorted, annoyed. "How many times have you claimed to be clever and guessed? How many times did you actually get it right?" 0

Wang Xinzhuo felt a bit embarrassed by Zhou Zhi's words. "Really, I haven't seen you being clever either." 0

"Alright, alright, stop arguing," Li Li interjected, pushing the two aside. She looked at Chen Rui and smiled. "How long are you going to keep showing off? Why not come down and chat?" 0

Chen Rui turned to the pilot. "Land slowly." He discreetly opened the radio intercom in Li Li's blind spot. 0

"Are you all done?" Chen Rui asked impatiently. 0

"Done. We're heading your way now," Peng Hao replied. 0

"I'm done here too," Ye Han's voice was as calm as ever, neither hurried nor slow, neither warm nor cold. 0

"Yeah, just wrapped things up. Everyone is rushing over now," Zhan Min said with a wry smile. "But on our side, we only have three left; Lu Jie Group lost one too. We only have six people total now." 0

"It's just me and Zeng Zhi left. If you don't add a bonus this time when we get back, I'm out of here. You have no idea what just happened," Zheng Hui's voice suddenly came through, apparently having snatched the intercom from Zhan Min. 0

"What the hell? Am I not human?" Lu Jie grumbled. 0

"You? Are you even human? Sorry, I didn't notice before," Zheng Hui teased with a playful laugh. 0

"Report the remaining personnel and vehicle status for each group," Chen Rui interrupted the group of chatterboxes. If he hadn't, they would probably still be talking endlessly. 0

"Group One, three people including me. Two vehicles!" Peng Hao replied calmly. 0

"Group Two, currently six people. Three vehicles!" Ye Han said proudly, her team intact. 0

"Group Three, a total of five people, two vehicles." Liu Xin sounded a bit annoyed; it was embarrassing that two of his team members had already fallen while Ye Han's group had lost none despite facing overwhelming firepower. 0

"Group Four, three survivors, two vehicles." Zhan Min's words carried a sense of helplessness. 0

"Group Five, three remaining, one vehicle." Lujie sighed helplessly. "Honestly, I feel like I'm the only useful one here." 0

Lujie's comment sparked a flurry of chatter over the intercom, prompting Chen Rui to quickly turn it off. He adjusted his tie and smiled at Li Xue. "Aren't you coming out?" 0

Li Xue beamed as she rushed towards Chen Rui, linking her arm with his in a charmingly dependent manner. 0

The helicopter's support frame finally touched the ground. Chen Rui jumped down from the aircraft and lifted Li Xue down as well. Their intimate display left the three people in front of them utterly stunned. 0

As Chen Rui approached them with a smile, he said, "Long time no see." 0

"You..." Li Li was the first to snap out of her shock. "Is that you, Chen Rui?" 0

"Of course! And I brought a friend along too—Qin Xin, right? Where is she?" Chen Rui asked with a grin. 0

"I'm right here," Qin Xin appeared from ahead, forcing a smile. "Looks like I still can't outplay you." 0

Chen Rui chuckled. "What do you mean? We only played this once, didn't we?" 0

The four in front listened to Chen Rui's words and shared an unspoken understanding that led to faint smiles, though they were more pained than genuine. 0

Watching Li Xue snuggled up next to Chen Rui, Li Li asked, "Can the photos taken here be received outside?" 0

"Yes," Chen Rui replied honestly, unsure of what Li Li was planning. 0

Before Chen Rui could react, Li Li quickly pulled out her phone and captured the moment: Li Xue nestled beside Chen Rui, her face radiating joy. 0

Seeing Li Li's actions, Zhou Zhi also took out his phone, moved closer to Chen Rui, and wrapped his arm around Chen Rui's neck for a selfie. 0

"Hey, I—" Chen Rui was about to tell them that there would be some time for interaction after the dream, but before he could speak, Wang Xinzhuo and Qin Xin rushed over to Chen Rui's side, pulling out their phones to take pictures. 0

Suddenly, a swarm of black Chevrolet SUVs burst out from all directions. The rear windows of the vehicles rolled down simultaneously, revealing a barrage of fourteen-barreled machine guns rising up. The sight left Li Li, Qin Xin, Wang Xinzhuo, and Zhou Zhi dumbfounded. 0

Chen Rui saw this scene and let out a sigh of relief, remarking, "You all arrived just in time." 0

Indeed, if they had come any later, Li Li and the others might have started noticing some issues. But they were here! 0

"You... set us up?" Wang Xinzhuo stared at Chen Rui in shock, as if he were seeing a ghost. 0

"When did I bring anyone here? You all are just overthinking it. I never brought up such topics or suggested surrendering. How can you blame me?" Chen Rui chuckled. 0

The four couldn't help but share a collective wry smile; their cleverness had backfired on them. They had thought too much and ended up falling into someone else's trap! 0

"Then aren't you going to kidnap me for a final stand?" Chen Rui asked. 0

Li Li shook her head with a smile. "No need for that. It would just lead to mutual destruction for both sides, or we would end up taking each other down together. That benefits neither you nor us." 0

Zhou Zhi chimed in with a laugh, "But it's also our fault for being so foolish!" 0

"Hey! Watch your words; don't lump us in with you," Qin Xin said with a mock disdainful smile. 0

Li Xue leaned closer to Chen Rui's ear and asked, "How did you know it would turn out like this?" 0

Chen Rui playfully scratched Li Xue's nose. "Wasn't it you and Zhou Yan who told me? Have you forgotten so soon?" 0

"Hmph! That's eavesdropping!" 0

"Not at all..." 0

Li Li suddenly spoke up, "Since it's come to this, we should prepare for the storm ahead." 0

"What do you mean?" Chen Rui frowned slightly, sensing that Li Li implied there was more to come. 0

Zhou Zhi looked at Chen Rui and chuckled, "Actually, we anticipated losing from the start." 0

"To prevent you from winning too quickly, your victory would lead the game into an advanced stage," Qin Xin added. 0

"In other words, starting now, we will face a common enemy," Wang Xinzhuo said with a smile at Chen Rui. 0

Looking at the four people in front of him, Chen Rui felt an urge to cry out loud. "Isn't this unfair? Does this mean you've lost? Will these rules make you lose?" 0

"Is it really necessary? As long as we're having fun!" Li Xue replied with a smile. 0
