"Definitely, after all, I'm not ready to die yet." Chen Rui smiled as he walked into the airport, pulling his only piece of luggage—a stylish suitcase. 0

Li Xue stood outside, watching Chen Rui. The forced smile she wore finally crumbled, and tears streamed down her face uncontrollably. 0

"Are you Mr. Chen Rui? I am from airport customs. Although you are taking a private jet, you still need to go through security. Please follow me." A young and beautiful woman approached Chen Rui, took his suitcase, and led him toward the VIP passage. 0

The VIP security check was much faster than the regular one; no one asked him to empty his pockets. They simply checked the metal items on him and scanned his luggage before allowing Chen Rui to pass. 0

A shuttle bus specifically prepared for Chen Rui was already waiting at the VIP exit of the terminal. The bus, which could accommodate eighty passengers, had only the driver and Chen Rui aboard, making it feel quite empty. 0

The shuttle slowly stopped at a remote tarmac where the exit aligned perfectly with the already set up boarding stairs. Although he had mentally prepared himself, Chen Rui was still taken aback by the imposing private jet. 0

Li Xue's private jet was not just any Gulfstream business aircraft; it was the latest model of a Boeing long-range passenger plane. Normally, it could carry around three to four hundred people, but at that moment, it had only the crew and one passenger. 0

The cabin crew naturally picked up Chen Rui's suitcase, bowed slightly to him, and led him into the cabin. 0

The cabin was certainly not like a typical flight with rows of seats; instead, it was divided into several spaces—there were guest rooms, a living room, a dedicated kitchen, and bathrooms. In simple terms, it resembled a single-story villa moving through the sky. 0

The cabin crew skillfully guided Chen Rui to the seventh room among the guest rooms. He thought to himself that the first six rooms were probably occupied by Li Li and her five companions. 0

The room wasn't too large—only about thirty to forty square meters—but on an airplane, it was already considered a very spacious area. The room was simply decorated with two 3D projection lamps, a tea table with two chairs, a two-meter double bed, a simple wooden coat rack, and an office desk with a computer on it. Other than that, there wasn't much else. 0

The room had its own bathroom equipped with a bathtub, allowing for a luxurious bathing experience even in mid-air—this treatment was simply extravagant. 0

The flight from Las Vegas to Beijing took just eleven and a half hours due to the maximum power operation of the engines. Chen Rui boarded the plane late at night and arrived in Beijing early in the morning after twelve hours of flying. However, since he had work waiting for him upon his return, he planned to take a nap on the plane so that he could start working immediately after landing without much hassle. 0

This Boeing seemed to have been directly ordered from Boeing Company; its soundproofing was significantly better than similar Boeing aircraft. It appeared that many soundproof panels and materials had been added during its interior decoration. Chen Rui could hardly hear any noise from the plane, making him wonder if it was still parked at McAllen International Airport in Las Vegas. 0

When he woke up from his nap, Chen Rui checked his phone—it was two in the morning Beijing time. It seemed that there were still three or four hours left until they reached Duguo International Airport. He realized he hadn't eaten much yesterday; he ordered roasted chicken but ended up sharing it with Li Xue when she suddenly woke up. He wanted to grab something to eat but got dragged into playing games instead and fell asleep as soon as he boarded the plane. It dawned on him that he hadn’t had anything substantial to eat for almost an entire day. 0

He used the cabin phone to call for cabin crew and casually ordered some rice dish to fill his stomach. The beautiful cabin crew quietly cleaned up after him and left the room after asking if he needed any other services. 0

With nothing else to do, Chen Rui lay on the bed feeling bored. It was his first time experiencing such discomfort while flying; usually, he either sat in the cockpit or had someone accompanying him. Being alone on this flight felt entirely new to him, which made him feel even more bored. 0

Unknowingly, Chen Rui fell asleep again. When he woke up this time, the plane had already begun its descent. He tidied his clothes, grabbed his suitcase, and made his way to the front lounge area of the cabin, finding a window seat to wait for the plane to land. 0

The plane touched down on the runway of Duguo International Airport, and a guiding vehicle led the private jet to Hangar No. 3. A black Hongqi sedan with a white background and red-black license plate clearly indicated its military identity. 0

Chen Rui hurried down the stairs of the aircraft, puzzled about what he had done to warrant such a show of force with military vehicles sent to pick him up. 0

The driver's side window rolled down, and Xiang Xiao looked at Chen Rui. Seeing that Chen Rui was still motionless, he couldn't help but shout angrily, "Aren't you going to get in the car? Look at the time! Time is life! You're killing my life!!!" 0

Chen Rui chuckled as he slid into the back seat of the Hongqi sedan, jokingly retorting, "The emperor is not anxious, but the eunuch is! Xiang Zi! Drive!" 0

"Go to hell!" Xiang Xiao shot Chen Rui a glare through the rearview mirror but quickly got the car moving as they exited the airport. 0

Xiang Xiao tossed a folder from the passenger seat to Chen Rui. "Look for yourself. If you don't understand something, ask me." 0

Chen Rui understood; this folder likely contained the reason for his urgent recall and was probably related to his next dream mission. 0

The folder was made of leather, with 'TOP SECRET' printed prominently on the seal. Chen Rui teased, "Am I important enough for this? I won't get killed for just looking at this, will I?" 0

"Shut up! Stop talking nonsense! Hurry up and read it! Don't keep bothering me!" Xiang Xiao replied irritably, his tone filled with impatience and agitation. 0

Chen Rui opened the folder and quickly scanned through the mission details for this dream task. He realized that this mission was indeed quite tricky; the key issue wasn't so much the storyline but rather the targets they would face. Conventional methods would not work well against these individuals. 0

This dream mission was directly assigned by the General Staff, specifically calling for A Group to execute it. The purpose was to evaluate the loyalty of six special forces members. As for how they would be assessed and what standards would be used, it depended on Chen Rui and his team; all that mattered to the General Staff was the outcome. Relevant personnel had also been dispatched to assist with this dream mission, and afterward, these individuals would participate in the International Special Forces Competition. In short, this mission was indeed quite challenging. 0

The challenge boiled down to two points: first, how to get those six Special Forces members to reveal their true selves; second, how loyalty could be defined. 0

If absolute loyalty were required, almost no one could guarantee it. In intimate relationships and matters of national interest, any normal person would have some degree of hesitation. Once hesitation set in, it could not be considered absolute loyalty to the country. If loyalty were merely about actions, it implied that these individuals might still turn against their country. Therefore, determining a scale for loyalty was quite difficult. 0

"This script was provided by them, right?" Chen Rui asked, pointing at several pages of accompanying documents. 0

"A reference plan," Xiang Xiao glanced at Chen Rui and said meaningfully. "The General Staff specifically instructed that it's not necessary to follow this script exactly; improving or even creating an original one is acceptable as long as we don't lose sight of the ultimate goal. They never care about the process." 0

Chen Rui briefly reviewed the script; while it couldn't be considered exquisite, it did highlight several human weaknesses. However, it was undeniable that the opening scene was somewhat absurd. Overall, using their script wasn't out of the question; still, for the sake of success in this mission, it would be better to let Xiong Kai refine it before making any decisions. 0

General Staff The script provided is as follows: War has broken out, and as a special forces team, they are set to carry out an assassination mission targeting a Nuclear Control Center in enemy territory. However, upon arriving in the enemy country, they discover that their superiors and some of their relatives have been captured by the enemy. Particularly troubling is the fact that their superior has defected. In this situation, apart from the six of them, there is only one Intelligence Officer who has lived in the enemy country for a long time. They must decide whether to continue with their mission, retreat back home, or defect like the Old Superior. 0

According to the plot analysis, their relatives were captured entirely due to the defection of the Old Superior. The reason for his defection is briefly mentioned: his own relatives were also under control. 0

Setting aside the issue of such a flawed leadership, it is clear that because of the Old Superior's betrayal, the enemy is aware of their movements and mission objectives. Even if they manage to evade an ambush by the enemy's special forces by changing their plans at the last minute, continuing with their mission will be exceedingly difficult. With their identities already exposed, returning home seems almost impossible. The most realistic option before them is to surrender and defect, which serves as a test of their loyalty. 0

However, this script also has many loopholes. No one can guarantee that those six Special Forces members won't realize that they are in a fabricated world. If they truly become aware of this issue, then the so-called evaluation would merely turn into a viewing experience. Knowing that "there's something wrong with this world," they would no longer entertain thoughts of defection or surrender. 0

"I still need to make some changes!" Chen Rui placed the document back into the folder and smiled as he asked, "Can I take this back?" 0

"You can. Remember, tomorrow at nine o'clock, those six individuals will be sent into your Cabin on time. The plane doesn't need to take off; everything will happen in the hangar. They will enter the Cabin while asleep, so you need to activate the equipment as soon as possible to avoid any accidents," Xiang Xiao meticulously reminded him. "How you handle this script is up to you; just ensure that the outcome satisfies those above." 0

Chen Rui nodded, understanding the importance of this mission. "The overall framework of the script is quite good; it just needs some improvements in certain details. I’ll add some plot elements to achieve a more realistic purpose. Leave this to me; I won’t mess it up." 0

"Let’s hope so." 0

Chen Rui picked up his briefcase and held onto the folder tightly as he exited the vehicle and walked into the office building. 0

The second volume ends here rather abruptly; it has been dragged out for too long. I initially wanted to write more content but found my descriptions lacking in excitement, so I hurriedly wrapped it up. There will be double updates coming soon—one chapter serving as both the prologue for Volume Three and an introduction for the entire book. Stay tuned! 0
