"What are you looking at me for?" The FBI Security Chief smiled, seemingly unafraid of the person before him. It made sense; as the FBI Security Chief, why would he fear an immigrant from China, especially one who appeared so suspicious? 0

Tiger chuckled lightly but remained silent, his eyes fixed intently on the FBI Security Chief's face. He was indeed Caucasian, but for some reason, Tiger always felt there was a hint of Asian features in his appearance. 0

"Nothing much, just reminded of a brother when I saw you," Tiger said with a smile, subtly hinting, "It's been years since my brother has been home, and our family is quite worried about him." 0

The FBI Security Chief chuckled in disbelief. "You're not even in your homeland; why would you expect your brother to return?" 0

Tiger blinked in surprise. He hadn't expected the other man to turn the concern back on him; this wasn't typical American thinking. 0

"I at least go back for the Spring Festival every year, but my brother hasn't been home in over a decade. I can't help but worry about how much suffering he endures out there alone; it pains me to think about it." 0

The FBI Security Chief smiled faintly and patted Tiger's shoulder before suddenly speaking in a genuine Beijing accent, "What about the other brothers?" 0

Tiger let out a deep breath. Playing mind games with this old fox was exhausting. At least he had broken the ice; otherwise, he wouldn't feel at ease. 0

There was no choice; just as their team had gathered, the FBI had come knocking. Such matters were concerning, but thankfully, the person he was looking for was right across from him. 0

Tiger spoke lowly, "Come out, old friend; our guest has arrived." 0

Moments later, five others walked out from the three rooms. Tiger introduced them with a smile, "We are from the Special Operations Group; I am Tiger. These five are: Fox, Lion Brother, Big Dog, White Wolf, and Elephant General." 0

Tiger remained somewhat cautious and did not specify each of the other five's codenames but provided a general introduction instead. 0

The Liaison Officer nodded and smiled. "Your team is complete—Elephant, Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Dog, and Fox—it sounds like a zoo. My current identity is Bruce; you can call me Chen Rui." 0

Seeing the Liaison Officer reveal his true identity so readily shocked Tiger and the others. As an experienced spy, it was hard to believe that he would trust someone he had just met so easily. 0

Chen Rui smiled lightly. "That name has become history. My personal file was completely deleted the night before I came to America. So this name is merely nostalgic. Besides, it's quite common; there must be hundreds of people named that throughout China. Even if my file hadn't been deleted, it would be nearly impossible to find me among those hundreds of records. My file contains no fingerprints or iris recognition records, and my appearance and voice have changed completely." 0

Although these words were spoken with a smile, there was an unavoidable undertone of repression. After all, as a person whose true identity had been erased, wasn't that a tragic fate? 0

Elephant General quietly approached Chen Rui and forced a smile as he extended his right hand. "Mu Jiahui, Codename Elephant, Action Commander of this Team." 0

“Elephant General!!!” Tiger exclaimed. It was not typical for Elephant General to reveal his identity so casually. This Chen Rui had gained the team's trust in just a few sentences, proving himself to be a seasoned spy who had been hiding for over a decade. 0

Chen Rui waved his hand, signaling them to listen. “There’s no need to reveal your identity so soon; it doesn’t benefit either of us. My mission is simply to guide you and assist you in completing your tasks. Once the mission is accomplished or the relations between our countries improve, you will have to return, while I will likely continue to remain hidden here.” 0

“What?” They had never considered the possibility of returning alive when they came, but hearing Liaison Officer’s words made them realize that going back home was not entirely out of reach; at least there was a chance. 0

“Don’t get too excited,” Chen Rui brought everyone back to reality. “While there is a possibility, your immediate priority is still your mission. Don’t start thinking about going home to find wives just yet!” 0

Upon hearing Chen Rui’s words, half of the six present felt their faces flush, embarrassed by their own lack of composure and reminded of Chen Rui’s last statement. 0

Most of these six were young men in their twenties or thirties, with the youngest being around twenty-five and the oldest just over thirty. At this age, they should have been settling down, but due to work commitments, they were unable to marry, which resulted in this team being a complete band of bachelors. 0

“Wait a minute,” Lion Brother pointed out sensitively. “If you’re going to continue hiding here after our mission, then you can’t accompany us on our operations?” The others quickly caught on. If Chen Rui truly intended to remain undercover in America after their mission, he wouldn’t be able to follow them or even provide assistance. Anything that could reveal a direct connection between them would be off-limits, significantly limiting Chen Rui’s ability to support them. 0

Chen Rui nodded helplessly. “Yes, in fact, my role is merely to give you specific orders and provide you with the initial batch of information and the locations for hiding your weapons and equipment. Everything else is up to you.” 0

The six nodded in understanding. This meant that Chen Rui was essentially taking on the role of the former Superior Department, providing only mission objectives and initial intelligence along with weapons Ammunition. The rest would have to be handled by themselves. However, this arrangement suited everyone’s wishes; they were a solid team, and having an enigmatic old agent suddenly inserted into their ranks could disrupt their original rhythm. 0

“When do we take action?” Elephant General asked. 0

Chen Rui scanned the group with a heavy look in his eyes. “Immediately after declaring war!!!” 0

“So… what is our mission?” 0

“There is a military base twenty-five kilometers north of this city. Reliable intelligence indicates that it serves as a launch center for ground-based nuclear weapons, conservatively estimated to house twenty megaton-class warheads and an equal number of transport Missiles.” Chen Rui pulled out a city map from his coat pocket and circled the approximate location with a marker, adding an X over it for emphasis. 0

Elephant General took the map, memorized the circled and crossed area, then headed to the restroom to burn it. 0

Seeing Elephant General’s actions, Chen Rui smiled slightly. “This method of destroying evidence has long been compromised; however, I doubt anyone could search every residential building's sewer system for evidence.” 0

“What about the weapons?” 0

Chen Rui's expression changed, his previous smile replaced by a serious demeanor as he looked at everyone. "This issue has become quite serious. I didn't expect any accidents to occur, but the situation isn't beyond saving yet. Therefore, we need you to take action personally. Of course, I will also assist in whatever way I can." 0

An accident with the weapons? This was no trivial matter. Following the usual protocol, if there were issues with the weapons, they could easily lose the best opportunity to act. After all, these specialized weapons were not as easy to come by as an AK-47, and unlike the AK-47, it wouldn't be simple to quietly transport another batch. 0

If things were more serious, it meant that the source of these weapons had been discovered. Even if their operation remained undisclosed, the police and military presence at the destination would undoubtedly increase significantly, causing many inconveniences for their mission. 0

The worst-case scenario would be if the purpose of the weapons was directly uncovered. In that case, they would face widespread searches and might even be directly located. That would mean failure before the mission even began, and their side would be targeted by public opinion from all directions, essentially losing right from the start. 0

"What exactly went wrong?" Elephant General asked anxiously. As the team commander, the success or failure of the mission was intricately linked to him, and he did not want to see such unexpected complications arise. 0

Chen Rui sighed. "We had originally bribed an Arms Dealer to help us transport the goods, hiding our cargo among a large shipment to avoid detection. However, the accident occurred with this Arms Dealer." 0

Tiger quickly interjected, "What happened? Did the government catch him?" 0

Chen Rui shot him a glance that clearly indicated his lack of understanding of political darkness. Since this Arms Dealer had managed to operate in America for so long, he likely had backing from the United States Government. He was essentially a gunrunner for American machinery; how could someone like him be intercepted by the government? 0

"No, if he had been caught by the government, you wouldn't need to be here anymore; you could just go back the way you came," Chen Rui teased lightly, his eyes filled with mockery. 0

"Alright, enough joking around. Let's get back to business," Elephant General said, noticing Tiger's restlessness and giving him a stern look. Chen Rui and Liaison Officer were seasoned spies with over a decade of experience; clearly, this was meant to provoke them. Getting angry now would only play into his hands; they needed to focus on the bigger picture. 0

Chen Rui smiled at Elephant General before becoming serious again. "Because this Arms Dealer is closely connected with the United States Government, they don't dare reveal their identity when negotiating with him. They approached him under the guise of a new Arms Dealer for assistance in transportation. As a result… this bastard actually dared to engage in Black Market Deals!" 0
