Although they had mentally prepared themselves, hearing their superior say those words still brought great shock to everyone. After all, it was unusual for a superior to speak in such a manner. Such statements could potentially boost morale, but more likely they would dampen it; therefore, they were rarely uttered unless absolutely necessary.
Now that they were behind enemy lines, the situation was already perilous, so it wasn't surprising that such words were spoken.
Chen Rui sighed. "After I assign you your mission, I will be retreating. Do you know why you are tasked with attacking the Nuclear Control Center?"
Everyone fell silent. The purpose of attacking the Nuclear Control Center was obvious: to control the enemy's nuclear weapons and force them into submission. However, even if they captured the Nuclear Control Center, they would not be able to wield the nuclear weapons without authorization from the highest levels.
"The real order from above is: you are to detonate these nuclear weapons directly," Chen Rui coldly revealed the truth.

Seeing the puzzled expressions on the six faces, Chen Rui helplessly continued explaining. "Our plan is that after severing external connections, the Main Computer will enter a security state. At that moment, our equipment will activate the dead man's switch system of this Nuclear Control Center. Each Silo's rocket can carry five tons; each vehicle can carry three tons. Even with a multiple warhead design, each Silo can carry at least twenty warheads with a yield of five hundred thousand tons each; each vehicle can carry..."
White Wolf frowned and interrupted him. "Just tell me—what's the conservative estimate for the total yield of a chain reaction explosion?"
Chen Rui sighed again. "Conservatively speaking: the minimum yield of a chain reaction explosion would be... one hundred million tons, with a maximum potential of five hundred million tons."
Everyone inhaled deeply. The most powerful nuclear weapon ever detonated was a Soviet bomb with a yield of fifty-eight million tons, detonated in 1961. It caused electromagnetic interference over nearly five thousand kilometers and destroyed all life within a two-hundred-kilometer radius.
If a weapon with a yield of one hundred million tons were detonated, its impact would not simply be two hundred kilometers multiplied by two; after simple calculations, an explosion of that magnitude would pose a direct threat over a minimum radius of one thousand kilometers.
If they completed this mission, there would be no returning home for them; millions of Americans would perish alongside them, and it would cause nationwide electromagnetic communication disruptions in America. Thus, they were key figures determining the outcome of this war.
Chen Rui scanned everyone once more and mockingly asked, "What? Are you scared now?"

The Fox smiled and sighed, "We still have to go!"
Chen Rui smiled as he looked at the six determined faces before him. He pulled three unmarked boxes from his pocket and handed them to the Fox.
The Fox took them, opened one, and found a tray of white pills inside—one pill per tray, totaling six pills across the three boxes.
"Since we have this method, why scare me?" the Fox said in annoyance, taking out a pill and preparing to toss it into his mouth, but was stopped by Chen Rui's laughter.
Chen Rui looked at the Fox and explained with a smile, "There are only these six pills. Each one lasts about an hour, so to avoid any slip-ups, take three at a time. Tiger laughed, "Even if it sounds bad, it's definitely better than now. Right now, every time the Fox opens his mouth, it's a mood killer."
The Fox held the pill in his mouth and shot Tiger an annoyed glance.
Chen Rui then pulled out six invitation cards from his pocket. They were simple and lacked any anti-counterfeiting features since it was a public exchange event—there was no need for secrecy.
Chen Rui handed out the invitations one by one and reminded them, "Remember, your identities have loopholes, so try to avoid talking to others. Just keep an eye on the Fox from a distance. Fox, your identity has no major flaws, and I've confirmed that they indeed sent invitations to Yuki Chiba's father. However, knowing his personality, he probably won't attend this gathering. Everyone opened their invitations to find a yellow card inside with their names written in elegant script along with a string of numbers—similar to a simple business card.
"What is this?" White Wolf asked, pointing at the yellow card.
"You five will go to different locations in Mingdu," Chen Rui explained with a smile. "There will be dedicated drivers and luxury cars waiting for you there; it's all about image management. Since Mingdu will definitely be filled with luxury cars, you don't need to worry about exposing your identities; in fact, not having one would raise suspicion." He pointed to the back of the card. "The front has the driver's name and contact number; the back has my notes on where to park. Remember to destroy the card afterward."
The Fox raised his hand and waved it in front of Chen Rui, clearly puzzled because while the other five had dedicated luxury cars waiting for them, he did not have one.

The fox responded with a soft "Hmm," casting an unhappy glance at the invitation. The elegant cursive English letters contained three square characters in traditional Chinese: Chiba Kaede.
The fox's earlier "Hmm" had clearly startled those around her. Although it wasn't a full sentence, it was evident that it was a female voice, completely different from the fox's previous tone.

Chen Rui wasn't angry; he chuckled and responded in the same language, "That's good. Just make sure you don't mess up when the time comes."
Seeing the two converse in a language he couldn't understand, Elephant General felt somewhat helpless and explained to Chen Rui, "Our team has very clear divisions of labor. For example, White Wolf is responsible for weapon technology while the fox handles culture and translation. She knows quite a few languages."
With that in mind, Chen Rui decided not to press further. He glanced at his watch and then at the fox. "Since you're just starting to use this voice, you're bound to be unfamiliar with it. "K!" Elephant General replied with a smile as he made a gesture with his hand. The big dog and Tiger then helped escort the fox out as the six of them followed Chen Rui out of the house.
