"All in all, the first move in this game of chess was quite good." Chen Rui smiled slightly, a look of satisfaction on his face.
"That’s not my credit," the Fox scoffed, glancing at Chen Rui. He adjusted Liu Hai, which hung in front of him, over his ear. Although he had returned early, he was required to dress as a woman twenty-four hours a day to get used to his current identity. Reluctantly, he accepted this demand and was still wearing a trench coat.
Even though they had left early, it wasn't so easy for Chen Rui and Tiger. Chen Rui was surrounded by a group of men, while Tiger had a circle of women around him. They could only linger until the party ended. After everyone dispersed, they took several turns to avoid being followed and finally returned here after switching taxis multiple times.
As for Chen Rui, he left later than Tiger but arrived earlier. After all, he only needed to drive the Chevrolet back before coming over, unlike Tiger who had to take a longer route.
Chen Rui smiled and remained silent, continuing to study the large map laid out on the table. It was a real-time satellite image of the Arms Dealer's warehouse, specifically the map of that four-person port. Despite being taken from space, one could clearly identify the workers moving goods on the ground.
The Elephant General glanced at Chen Rui and said with a smile, "If it weren't for the hints given to you by Chen Liaison Officer, would you have been able to smoothly win over that George?"
The Fox immediately became displeased and jumped up from the sand. "That can only be attributed to my charm... What do you mean 'win over'? That's ridiculous!"
Lion Brother chuckled lightly and pulled out George's personal file from a drawer. Flipping it open to the second page, he pointed at a young woman and asked Chen Rui, "Brother Chen Rui, do you know this one? Otherwise, how would you know her so well?"
Although Lion Brother seemed to be talking to the Fox, he was actually conveying a message to him. The Fox wasn’t foolish; he quickly understood that Chen Rui's earlier instructions were for this very reason. If Lion Brother's speculation was correct, then this achievement should still belong to Chen Rui.
Knowing oneself and knowing the enemy ensures victory in every battle; having absolute intelligence can directly influence the outcome of a situation. The smooth acquisition of George's favor could not have happened without Chen Rui's intervention. Moreover, since Chen Rui had provided direct hints earlier, it indicated that he had grasped the overall situation.
"I'm not too familiar," Chen Rui replied vaguely. In reality, he didn't know this person at all; he wasn't even sure if she existed in reality. However, to ensure the mission went smoothly, he used his administrator privileges to access AI data and settings, allowing him to confidently send the Fox into action.
The atmosphere in the living room seemed to drop to freezing point. Apart from Chen Rui who continued scribbling on the expansive map spread across the table, everyone else stared intently at him without daring to breathe.
This man was like a prophet—no, more accurately, like a god—but one without execution power. Thus, he needed their team to help him accomplish his tasks.
Feeling the awkwardness of the situation, Chen Rui coldly scanned everyone and teased, "Why are you all standing there? Just filling up numbers? Come over and look at the map!"
The six of them snapped back to reality, exchanging smiles as they gathered around the massive dining table in the living room. A large map displayed the entire port, with three circles marked in black marker: one for an open container gathering area, one for a closed warehouse, and one for a helicopter landing pad.
Chen Rui set down the marker and pointed to the container gathering area marked as number one on the map. "Based on my calculations, our shipment must be in one of these three locations, and the most likely spot is this number one position."
"Our cargo fills an entire container, but for safety reasons, the equipment we need is packed in the very center. However, to facilitate retrieval, there’s an opening at the top of the container—a circular cut that’s only slightly welded at both ends. With a good kick, you can easily break it open," Chen Rui explained, looking at the six individuals.
Elephant General crossed his arms and tapped his right index finger against his bicep, his brow furrowing slightly. "But didn’t you say this place is heavily guarded? Even if Fox can find that container, he can't just enter from the top; that would make too much noise. Plus, since the container is full, retrieving the goods will take time. Both methods are impractical—what do we do?"
The other five looked at Chen Rui, waiting for him to propose a plan.
"So, Fox, your task isn’t to retrieve the goods directly. Although we don’t have much equipment, it would still be challenging for you to do it silently alone. Your mission is to assist the others in infiltrating this area and distract the guards so they can successfully retrieve the equipment," Chen Rui said, marking a spot with an 'X' on the map. "This location is their monitoring center. I don’t want you to go there; even though there are many cameras, there are more blind spots. I need you to keep an eye on the patrols and ensure they don’t get too close to our location."
Fox looked at the map and waved his hand to interrupt Chen Rui. "In that case, we can’t just rely on observation; it’s impossible to keep track of everyone since there are too many workers in a construction zone—someone will definitely see something."
Chen Rui nodded and continued, "However, this is just a preliminary idea. You first need to confirm where our shipment is located. If it’s at positions two or three, we’ll need different approaches."
Position two refers to the closed warehouse—the largest facility in the entire weapons depot and dock, covering about thirty thousand square meters.
Position three refers to the landing pad, which also has a row of containers nearby where goods could potentially be stored.
"If it's at position two, then Fox will still operate alone but will need to make two trips to retrieve the items. However, because that warehouse is so large, Fox will likely be discovered. Once you complete your mission, retreat immediately. While this might expose our subsequent plans, we have no other choice," Chen Rui paused and placed the marker on the helicopter landing pad's location.
"If it's here!" Chen Rui suddenly lowered his voice significantly as if sighing; yet his words pierced through the silence of the living room like needles. "Then we’ll launch a direct raid!"
"This means..." White Wolf exclaimed in shock, "Our intentions would be directly exposed to that Arms Dealer and local police."
Big Dog glanced at Chen Rui and asked quietly, "Exposing ourselves to the Arms Dealer is certain; however, local police might not necessarily know since George—the head of this warehouse area—has always had a poor relationship with them. Still, there's a chance our entire operation could be compromised."
Chen Rui nodded and continued, "Take a close look; the location of this helipad is very strategic. It is about a hundred meters away from the dock, making it impossible to launch a surprise attack from the sea. However, it provides deep access into the entire warehouse, and entering from the outside is fraught with difficulties. Any chaotic infiltration attempts would surely be detected, so we can only resort to a surprise attack."
"As for the timing, once the two countries declare war, I will provide you with a heavy helicopter. Common weapons can be easily purchased at the Weapon Shop, and then you will swiftly conduct an aerial assault on this area, quickly retrieve the equipment, and strike the Nuclear Control Center before the police receive any reports."
Chen Rui's bold plan stirred everyone's hearts. The calmness and competence they had previously displayed seemed to dissipate like smoke. The Chen Rui who spoke these words was undoubtedly like a gambler—a reckless one at that.
Observing their reactions, Chen Rui knew exactly what they were thinking. He smiled lightly and said, "Don't talk about impossibilities or gambling. On the contrary, if the equipment is indeed stored here, then my proposed method is the only feasible one. This will become clear once the fox enters the warehouse. Moreover, if the equipment is in this location, there is no way for you to retrieve it without exposing yourselves. Since exposure and risk are inevitable, it would be better to end everything before those risks can take effect."
"Furthermore, this method involves me providing you with a helicopter. In return, I will assist you in executing this mission as well as any subsequent tasks."
The six of them were once again taken aback because they had previously confirmed that after assisting them in obtaining the equipment, Chen Rui intended to prepare for evacuation to avoid the impending nuclear explosion crisis. Chen Rui would begin his withdrawal at the first sign of war between the two nations, allowing him ample time to retreat to a safe distance. Of course, this was calculated based on a yield of one hundred megatons; if a severe chain reaction were to occur, then all of North America would face disaster.
However, now Chen Rui was willing to fight alongside them—this was undeniably an encouraging statement. After all, no one wants to face death alone or see others fleeing while they are about to die, especially when that person has both the ability and obligation to help.
Chen Rui pulled out a large Satellite Map and spread it over the port map. The Satellite Map depicted a road with a high-voltage power line running along its right side; besides normal connections, it extended toward a distant location.
That location was a camouflaged military base. Despite its disguise, the large gun ports were unmistakable.
"Now we start here," Chen Rui pointed at the military base. "Intelligence indicates that there is only one company’s worth of combat power inside this base, and there are no high-tech weapons—only advanced machine guns and autocannons."
"Is that... only???"
