"Is this for real? We got the equipment back just like that?" Lion Brother exclaimed, staring at the five large silver safes placed behind the sofa in the living room. From the moment the Fox entered, to Elephant General's arrival, and finally retrieving the equipment, it had taken no more than an hour. It was nothing short of miraculous.
Elephant General smiled slightly and casually glanced at Chen Rui. "George is a good man, and wasn't all of this planned from the start?"
This gesture from Elephant General was merely to inform those absent—Lion Brother and Big Dog—that everything had been orchestrated by Chen Rui. The entire process was deliberately crafted to lead to this moment.
"No, no, no!" Big Dog quickly pointed out a flaw in the reasoning. "If Chen Rui really knew all of this and was just sitting back watching the show, then why didn't he just let us find George and talk to him from the very beginning?"
The others clearly just realized this point. If that were the case, then everything Chen Rui said and did was merely coincidental? That coincidence was indeed quite remarkable, almost as lucky as winning a jackpot lottery.
Chen Rui walked up to one of the safes and connected his phone to it. He said calmly, "If you had approached George directly from the start, he might not have cooperated with you. One wrong move and you could have all ended up dead there. You had no reason to understand his thoughts. What I had you do was simply to make the entire story logical and coherent so that George could gradually realize it and accept it."
With a loud bang, the safe's lid sprang open, revealing a black rifle that reflected the light, evoking a sense of familiarity.
"And if you had barged right in front of him, he would definitely think you were monitoring him. If you took that batch of equipment, he would become one of only two people in the gang who knew about it. The worst part is that this person would be under surveillance by enemies. What do you think he would do?"
The Fox sighed, fully understanding Chen Rui's point. "Kill... silence witnesses. Generally speaking, that's the safest approach. So since discarding that batch of equipment would lead to being killed, it’s better to keep it for self-preservation; hence he wouldn't give it to us."

"Are we not even allowed to know?" Tiger frowned slightly; this feeling of distrust made him very angry.
Chen Rui waved his hand dismissively as he continued unlocking the next safe. "Not at all; sometimes not knowing the entire plot allows you to immerse yourself more fully in your role. Besides, telling you wouldn't benefit anyone; it could lead to mistakes and force you into your roles out of necessity."
Indeed, five-star spies are four-star actors; Chen Rui clearly achieved this point. However, they were not professional actors; sometimes they needed to unconsciously perform certain actions to do better. That’s why Chen Rui felt compelled to do so—he wasn’t wrong.

"Can I ask you a question?" the Fox gently inquired, his voice still feminine due to lingering effects of medication.
"Go ahead," Chen Rui replied as he bent down to fiddle with the last safe.
The fox hesitated for a moment before finally asking seriously, "How do you know that Li Xue has a boyfriend who's in love with her?"
Chen Rui was taken aback for a second, then laughed, "Come on, I'm not a god. I don't know that Li Xue has a boyfriend."
The fox stared into Chen Rui's eyes and finally asked the question he truly wanted to know, "How do you know Li Xue?"
"Bang!" The last box finally opened, and Chen Rui put away his phone. "Oh, I knew her from before..."
The fox chose not to pursue the conversation any further. Instead, he relaxed and started playing with his phone. After all, his voice hadn't returned to normal yet, and talking with them felt oddly off.
Chen Rui stood aside and pointed at the five silver boxes. "You all should familiarize yourselves with the equipment. Some of it is stuff you’ve used before, but there are also some additions made at the last minute, so get acquainted quickly. The operation manuals should have everything you need."
It was quite a joke that Special Forces had to look at operation manuals for firearms. The group ignored Chen Rui and began pulling out various pieces of equipment from the five boxes to check their condition.

Xiong Kai seemed to have been waiting for him; he had already moved his chair aside to make room for Chen Rui.
"What's that fox up to now?" Sweat began to bead on Chen Rui's forehead. He had a bad feeling about the fox; that half-smile in his eyes seemed to suggest he had figured something out.
Xiong Kai immediately pulled up the recorded video from when Chen Rui left until now and fast-forwarded it. "Your intuition was right; that fox has been investigating everything related to Li Xue. He even dug up some of your information and has slightly touched on the Dream Project. However, so far there hasn’t been any real information leaked. He doesn’t even know the name of the Dream Project; he only knows you are a mid-level manager in a core company of City Group that conducts transactions for some wealthy individuals that outsiders are unaware of."
Chen Rui frowned slightly. "Come on, how could he find out this much in such a short time? If we give him more time, won't he turn our information upside down?"
Xiong Kai typed a few keys on the keyboard. "Basically, no, because only the Dual Machine has records of the actual situation in the Dream Project; everything else is just paper documents. He has reached his limit here because the Dream World is a complete recording of the real world. Unless he can hack into the operational center of that world, it's impossible to know the answer."
Chen Rui shot Xiong Kai a glance. If he really hacked into the Dual Machine, who knows what consequences would follow? The losses alone would be enough to make all participating countries feel the pain for a long time.
"Regardless, speed up the process! Colonel Fan must have already entered the dream, right?" Chen Rui asked urgently. Every second they waited was another second for the fox to think. The immediate priority was to push the plot into its second phase: making them face their traitorous superior!

As of now, Six Flags Amusement Park has completed five phases of construction, with 65 large entertainment facilities, including 15 roller coasters.
Of course, the most iconic among them is the roller coaster named Jingkada. Even today, this top-tier roller coaster still ranks among the best in the world.
"I never expected this colonel to have such interests," Chen Rui said as he looked at the towering 19-meter high tracks and watched people screaming on Sky Scream. A chill ran down his back for some unknown reason.
"The colonel will be visible on the next ride; you just need to wait for him at the exit. His appearance hasn't changed; you should remember him," Xiong Kai's voice came through clearly despite the noise of the amusement park.

Soon enough, the roller coaster reached the highest point of its N-shaped track. At that peak, with a slight decline, it gave passengers a momentary sense of safety. But in an instant, screams erupted again as the roller coaster plunged down at a steep 9-degree angle from 19 meters high as if it were about to break free from its tracks and crash into the ground—truly exhilarating.
Standing at the exit, Chen Rui focused on each person who stumbled out, either supporting someone or being supported themselves.
After all, having ridden such an extreme roller coaster, those who walked out normally were certainly not ordinary people. And Chen Rui's target was precisely that kind of extraordinary individual.
Indeed, a man in a suit walked with steady strides, occasionally glancing at the other attractions around him.
“Mr. Fan,” Chen Rui locked onto his target and approached with a smile.
Fan Yu glanced at Chen Rui and asked with a smile, “Who are you?”
“I am the team leader and the only collaborator and executor in this dream,” Chen Rui replied with a grin. “My current public identity is the security director of the FBI in this region, but my actual identity is a Department-Level Investigator from our country. You know of my existence in the dream, but you don’t know what I look like or my public identity, so from now on, we are strangers.”
“Oh,” Fan Yu looked at Chen Rui meaningfully. “But why are you here to find me now? Aren’t you supposed to let me rest first? Is something wrong?”
Chen Rui slightly bowed. “I’m truly sorry. Due to some issues that have arisen, we must act in advance to ensure the authenticity of the assessment results, so you need to start taking action now.”
