After receiving a call from the Elephant General, Chen Rui arrived quickly. As soon as he entered the room, he was hit by a strong smell of blood. A pool of dark red blood lay beside the sofa in the living room, leading to a trail that clearly indicated someone had been shot and dragged into the bedroom.
On the wall next to the door, two flowers were painted in blood, and there was also a pool of blood near Chen Rui, with a similar trail pointing towards the same bedroom.
The Elephant General and others anxiously waited in the living room. Upon seeing Chen Rui arrive, they unconsciously breathed a sigh of relief.

This action not only startled Tiger but also prompted the others to rise. Although they did not attack, they all fixed their gazes on Chen Rui. Only Fox remained calmly seated on the sofa, not even glancing in their direction.
"I do know, but I only just found out," Chen Rui scanned everyone with a mocking look in his eyes. "What are you all trying to do? Just because your instructor and commander has betrayed you, you’ve all turned into this?"
Betrayal! This was an unpleasant word. Even Elephant General and Fox had been using terms like defection or treachery to soften the blow. But regardless of how it was phrased, it was indeed the truth—an undeniable fact that allowed no rebuttal.
Elephant General looked at Chen Rui but made no move. He simply asked quietly, "I haven't heard what exactly happened. You walked in here and immediately guessed everything? Doesn’t that imply you knew beforehand?"
Chen Rui shot a glance at Fox sitting on the sofa and sneered, "I only just learned about this this morning. I don’t know the specifics and certainly didn’t expect him to come knocking at your door! And!"
Chen Rui raised his voice, almost shouting at the person in front of him. "Even if I really knew something, what difference would it make? The outcome could be even more troublesome than now! If I use the FBI's power to capture him, my identity will inevitably be exposed. Moreover, even if we manage to capture him alive, what good would it do? "Hurry up and gather everything. When I call you tonight, head to the designated location," Chen Rui said, pulling out a small tablet. After swiping a few times on it, he handed it to the Elephant General. "This marks your infiltration position. Once you reach the designated location, start preparing. Orders from above will be sent directly to this tablet. The password to unlock it is: 'China Will Win!' These four Chinese characters."
"Chinese character password?" The Elephant General hesitated as he took the tablet. This device was essentially a communication tool with their superiors. By giving it to them, Chen Rui was indicating that he was completely relinquishing control over their actions, which also meant he was preparing to withdraw.
Chen Rui nodded. "The default input method is numeric and English; you can switch it to Pinyin to enter Chinese characters. The security of a Chinese character password is much stronger than that of English or Arabic numerals. From now on, you no longer need to follow my commands; I no longer know you. Your operational authority is now in your hands. If you want to act, then go ahead and take your chances."
White Wolf glanced at the closed bedroom door. "What about their bodies just lying there? What if the smell alerts the residents and they call the police?"
Chen Rui pointed at the door of the bedroom. "You’ll use transparent tape to seal around that door later. The windows are already shut tight, so the scent inside won’t escape easily. Besides, with the current tensions between our two countries, war could break out at any moment."
Upon sensing the undertone in Chen Rui's words, Fox immediately asked, "How long do you think that might be?"

Though he spoke in jest, it was hard for anyone to find humor in it. Regardless of how things unfolded, their true wish was for relations between the two countries to ease. Even those who had made killing their profession still hoped for peace rather than war.
But this was not something they could decide; they could only do their best to prevent such a possibility before war broke out completely—even if it meant risking being labeled as eternal sinners, all for the sake of protecting their country and its people.
As soon as Chen Rui stepped out of the room, he turned back to them and said seriously, "Remember what I said: wait for my call tonight before you move."
With that, Chen Rui hurriedly left the house and slammed the door shut behind him. The sound of the iron door hitting the frame felt like a farewell, leaving everyone with a sense of melancholy in their hearts.
The fox spoke first, "Let's hurry up and pack. We should eat something at home; for the rest of the days, we'll probably have to rely on our individual rations."
Although everyone did start moving, they still seemed listless, as if they were abandoned children struggling helplessly in their swaddling clothes, yet unable to make any progress.

Before the Elephant General could respond, the call ended abruptly, leaving him momentarily stunned by the busy signal that followed.
When he came back to his senses, everyone else's gaze was fixed on him. With a self-deprecating smile, the Elephant General shouted, "Everyone, move out!"

Fan Yu smiled at Chen Rui and replied cheerfully, "I just wanted to know if my useless students made it through."
