"Are you not afraid...?" Chen Rui felt a bit helpless. This was completely different from what he had expected. Did the governments of various countries really trust them enough to hand over control of the simulated warfare? 0

"What is there to be afraid of? It's just a simulation, and all the countries want real data. Every action you take will be recorded, so don't think about pulling any tricks. Moreover, the orders from above are even stricter. You shouldn't even be here with them; you were supposed to act as the Organizer," Zhang Jun shrugged helplessly. After closing the car window, the Black Mercedes drove off into the distance. 0

"Get in the car, what are you waiting for?" Peng Hao was the first to board the bus, calling out to the group still frozen in place. "We don't have anything to do right now anyway. It's going to get dark soon; we should hurry back, wash up, and get some sleep." 0

The group dragged their large bags onto two buses, laughing and joking. If one ignored their identical black suits, they looked just like a travel group visiting Nordic countries—completely lacking in organization and discipline. 0

This International Special Forces Competition was held in a Nordic country. Due to the latitude, it was already winter here in October, while central China was just entering autumn. Facing near-zero temperatures, Chen Rui couldn't help but worry; most of the team had only brought autumn clothing. If they were to participate in outdoor activities, their attire might not be sufficient. 0

It seemed that this event would be set up in mountainous and snowy areas, primarily testing the Special Forces' combat capabilities in cold environments. 0

In fact, regarding this International Special Forces Competition, various governments shared similar thoughts with Chen Rui: they were reluctant to showcase their elite troops for fear that other countries would gather too much intelligence on their top forces. However, they also couldn't send ordinary troops because a low ranking would damage their national prestige. In such cases, they would send a batch of first-rate but not top-tier troops as a compromise; this was essentially their only option. 0

Zhang Jun was correct; Chen Rui and his team were here as organizers, so their accommodations were separate from those of the competing teams, and their treatment was vastly different. 0

The bus arrived at a Four-Star Hotel where Zhang Jun had been waiting in the lobby for some time. "I apologize; due to other staff members, what was originally prepared as single rooms for you can only be changed to double rooms. The top four teams won't involve you at all, so you must stay inside the hotel! You are not allowed to go out! The equipment has already been set up in Conference Room One, but you don't have access until two hours before the competition. Additionally, this mission does not require Action Team members, so everyone from Action Team must stay at the dream entry site and report any incidents immediately!" 0

As Zhang Jun continued speaking at length, he noticed Chen Rui's awkward smile as voices grew louder behind him. 0

"Oh! We still have hotel accommodations!" 0

"This hotel looks pretty nice!" 0

"Hurry up! Let's get our room keys and wash up! I'm exhausted!!!" 0

No one behind Chen Rui paid any attention to Zhang Jun's words; they were all waiting for their room cards to head back to their rooms and sleep. By the time their flight took off from Beijing, it was already close to noon. After spending over ten hours on the plane and more than half an hour on the bus, it was now well past ten o'clock at night in Beijing. 0

This group had been working continuously for four days without rest. After a brief night of sleep, they had rushed to Nordic to continue working. At this moment, their physical exhaustion was evident. Therefore, neither Chen Rui nor Zhang Jun bothered to dwell on the details. 0

"Don't worry about them; I'm just talking to you. You can relay it to them. I don't expect them to absorb everything directly," Zhang Jun said as he took a stack of red cards from the front desk. Each card had a magnetic strip and an embedded chip, indicating that the hotel's security level was quite high. 0

Zhang Jun handed the stack of room cards to Chen Rui and waved his hand as he entered the elevator. "I'm in room 71; you can come find me if there's anything." 0

Chen Rui glanced at Zhang Jun, then turned around only to realize he had been surrounded by a group of eager individuals. All their sharp gazes were fixed on the room cards in Chen Rui's hands. 0

If it were a single room, he could simply distribute the cards for them to take freely. However, since there were two people per room, he couldn't be so careless; otherwise, they would end up arguing over room assignments for half the night. 0

"Two people per room; form groups and send a representative to collect the room cards," Chen Rui said, waving the stack of cards with a wry smile. 0

"Great! I'll go with Ye Han!" Peng Hao exclaimed, extending his hand eagerly for his red card. 0

"Not happening!" both Ye Han and Chen Rui replied in unison, completely rejecting Peng Hao's suggestion. 0

Peng Hao acted as if he had suffered a tremendous blow, leaning against Chen Rui and lamenting dramatically. 0

Chen Rui frowned and quickly added a rule: "No opposite-sex roommates unless you're married!" 0

"No way!" 0

"Absolutely not!" 0

"Ahhhh! Team Leader, you are such a jerk!" 0

As soon as the temporary rule was announced, wails erupted immediately, with ninety-nine percent of the voices coming from the male colleagues, while most of the female coworkers stifled their laughter in unison. 0

The only female voice came from Yuki Chiba, who let out a cold snort, her arms crossed over her chest, cheeks puffed out like she had balloons stuffed in her mouth. 0

"Listen up! This hotel is the accommodation for all staff members of the Organizer! You all need to behave yourselves! I'm doing this to avoid causing trouble for others!" Chen Rui immediately reprimanded those who were making a fuss. 0

In fact, Chen Rui had half a sentence left unspoken: I'm doing this so that you all can have more energy to focus on work! How can you work when you're sharing a room with your partner? You all look like you've been drained dry; how can you work like that!!! 0

Although there were still some complaints, everyone followed the rules set by Chen Rui and went to get their room keys in pairs. Just as Chen Rui held the last room key and thought to himself, 'Finally, it's just me left; I can have a room all to myself,' he suddenly noticed Peng Hao in a corner drawing circles on the floor. 0

"Damn it! Why do I have to share a room with you? You gay bastard! Get lost!" Peng Hao shouted as he entered the room. The room wasn't very big and was simply furnished; it contained two standard beds, a shared nightstand, a sofa, a set of office desk and chairs, an LCD TV, and a 3D projection lamp. 0

The entire room was probably less than forty square meters, but the key issue was that the bathroom took up about half of that space! While the furnishings in the room were average at best, the bathroom could be considered luxurious! 0

"I really don't understand why they made the bathroom so nice..." Chen Rui looked at the bathroom that occupied half of the room and felt like crying. "You can take that half; I'll make do with this side." 0

"Are you serious?" Peng Hao rolled his eyes at Chen Rui and pointed at the bathtub that could fit two people. "You should sleep in there! I bet this hotel's selling point is its bathroom!!!" 0

Complaints aside, both of them took turns showering and then happily collapsed onto their beds. The air conditioning above continuously pumped warm air into the room, quickly lulling them into slumber, even though the sunset outside had yet to dip below the horizon. 0

They weren't alone; nearly everyone in the Action Team except for Li Xue fell asleep almost instantly. The lack of rest from previous nights combined with their exhaustion from traveling meant that everyone was utterly drained. 0

Li Xue was still pondering how to switch her position with Peng Hao without waking Chen Rui. However, glancing at Ye Han beside her who was already softly snoring, that thought quickly faded away. 0

Li Xue smiled lightly, deciding to let it go for now. 0

Chen Rui was awakened by hunger, his stomach grumbling incessantly in protest of his irresponsibility. When they arrived here yesterday, it was still the afternoon local time, but instead of going to the restaurant for dinner, they had gone straight to sleep. Now, looking out the window, he saw the sun hanging overhead, indicating it was nearly noon. 0

"I haven't eaten in two meals..." Chen Rui muttered to himself as he began putting on his clothes, preparing to head to the restaurant for lunch to appease his discomfort. 0

"Bring me something back," Peng Hao said from his bed, not even opening his eyes. The sleepiness had vanished from his face; he clearly just didn't want to get up and go to the restaurant! 0

Chen Rui raised an eyebrow and walked to the foot of Peng Hao's bed. He grabbed the blanket with both hands and yanked it forcefully, pulling the pure white comforter completely into his grasp. 0

Without the blanket, Peng Hao immediately shivered and pointed at Chen Rui, cursing, "You bastard! Are you trying to murder me?" 0

"I'm going; you can stay," Chen Rui replied, tossing Peng Hao's blanket onto his own bed. He plopped down on it, crossing his legs and watching the shivering Peng Hao. 0

"I'm... I'm so cold..." Peng Hao curled up and trembled. Although the air conditioning was on, the temperature was only about ten degrees Celsius, making it quite uncomfortable for him without a blanket. 0

Chen Rui threw the blanket back at Peng Hao and laughed, "Anyway, I'm not bringing you anything. If you want to eat, get up and go to the restaurant." With that, he walked into the bathroom to wash up, ignoring Peng Hao further. 0

Peng Hao shook his head and sighed. Ultimately, he got up and started getting dressed. "As a team leader, if you can't even take care of your employees, how are you supposed to lead a team well?" 0

"Ha!" Chen Rui nearly choked on his toothpaste upon hearing Peng Hao's shameless words. He quickly rinsed out his mouth and retorted angrily, "I'm your superior! Not your dad!" 0
