"Is he going to be okay on his own?" Tiger asked, watching Chen Rui's departing figure with some concern. 0

Elephant General shrugged. "I don't know... But do you think you're more suited to draw fire than he is?" 0

Tiger thought for a moment, then shook his head with a wry smile. It wasn't that Chen Rui's marksmanship and combat skills were lacking; rather, the defensive formation of Elephant General and the others had been honed through countless training sessions, relying on the synergy between each member. If one person was replaced and Chen Rui was inserted into the mix, no matter how high his tactical level was, the overall synergy would never match the original. Thus, the effectiveness of their combat would be greatly diminished. 0

That was why Chen Rui chose to take the initiative and delve into the underground base. This way, he could buy them time while also applying pressure on the enemy. 0

"Now it's just a matter of how long we can hold out," Elephant General glanced back over his shoulder, swallowing hard. "Hopefully, he'll be quick about it." 0

"When are we going to find this thing? Do we have any designs for the missile? It's practically impossible to determine the exact location of the warhead and its internal structure just by looking at it!" After wandering around in the silo for a while, Big Dog felt an overwhelming urge to just blow up the massive missile in front of him. 0

"The warhead? Isn't it right there?" Charles pointed his flashlight at the missile above them, where 'aRhead' was clearly marked on its surface. 0

"Impressive!" Big Dog gave a thumbs-up to Charles, a member of the White Special Forces, fully believing in the saying: only the troops of each country truly understand their own weapons. 0

Charles smiled. "Even if we find it, it won't do us much good. Without knowing its specific internal structure, it's hard to control the detonation." 0

"This kind of calculation is beyond us; we need a top-notch demolitions expert to figure it out... We need to find someone skilled in explosives," Big Dog said, looking at the enormous warhead with a bitter smile. 0

After about a minute of walking, faint gunfire echoed from ahead in the corridor. Though faint, everyone could hear the sound of bullets striking the walls and kicking up dust. From the sound, it was clear that there were no fewer than ten enemies ahead of Chen Rui; such suppressive fire would be difficult for an ordinary person to break through. 0

"Hopefully he can hold out a little longer." 0

At that moment, Chen Rui was pinned down by a twelve-man team and couldn't lift his head. However, he didn't have much time to waste here. Chen Rui found himself at a Y-shaped junction, separated from that team by a wall of mixed territory. 0

He was suppressed by fierce gunfire and dared not show himself, while those on the other side were equally hesitant to rush out. But Chen Rui knew this situation couldn't last long; soon enough, enemies would appear on his path as well. If he couldn't eliminate this team before they arrived, then his mission would be nearly over. 0

"How annoying!" Chen Rui slowly crouched down against the wall. The enemy had reduced their firepower since Chen Rui had fallen silent, but even so, he still felt a strong sense of danger near the edge of the mixed territory. 0

Chen Rui pulled out a Fragmentation Grenade, removed the safety pin, and placed it in the corner of the wall. He carefully pushed the grenade to the outer edge of his shooting blind spot with the barrel of his rifle. After silently counting to three in his mind, he quickly nudged the grenade forward with the barrel, then swiftly moved the barrel to the right side of the grenade and forcefully swung it left, sending the grenade crashing toward the enemy... 0

"B!" The massive explosion seemed as if it would collapse the entire underground tunnel. Chen Rui felt a violent tremor as he pressed against the ground, and a fragment struck his rifle's barrel, causing him to involuntarily let go. The rifle was thrown aside. 0

After the explosion, Chen Rui slowly stood up. Once he regained his composure, he drew his sidearm. The shrapnel from the grenade had caused significant injury, but its lethality was limited; unless a fragment directly hit a vital organ or head, most enemies wouldn't die immediately. Especially now that they were wearing bulletproof vests, it was likely they would be hit in places like their arms or thighs, meaning they wouldn't lose combat effectiveness right away and could still defend and shoot back for a short time. 0

With his rifle damaged by shrapnel, it was useless now. Chen Rui needed to seize a primary weapon from this squad and couldn't afford to ignore them any longer. 0

He quickly rolled into the corridor and found that most of the enemies had been struck in the head by fragments—likely due to their proximity to the explosion. 0

After helping a few pained soldiers free themselves from their suffering, Chen Rui picked up their rifles. Confirming they were undamaged, he took several magazines from those who were farther from the blast site and inserted them into his tactical belt. 0

Once prepared, Chen Rui continued moving in this direction. He didn't know where this path would lead, but he knew it was one of the routes with the highest enemy traffic... 0

"This is indeed quite troublesome!" White Wolf rubbed his chin and shook his head. "It's basically impossible; we can't open this up to take a look." 0

"If we had time and tools, I would have considered that!" Daniel chuckled. "As it stands, we can only try equal detonation; whether it succeeds will depend on luck." 0

White Wolf quickly waved his hand. "If we were to place those explosives directly inside the combat unit, that would definitely work. But the problem now is that they're not inside." 0

"What’s the issue?" Daniel asked, puzzled by White Wolf's concerns. 0

"The problem is significant. If we place the bomb correctly—specifically at where the internal H Explosive is located—detonating it there would only require breaching the missile's outer armor to successfully trigger the internal H Explosive and subsequently detonate the nuclear warhead." 0

"But if it's not in that position, even if an explosion breaches the missile's outer armor, it doesn't necessarily mean we can directly ignite the uranium or tritium inside!" 0

Daniel suddenly realized, chuckling as he tapped his head. "So, if the position is wrong, it might not successfully detonate the nuclear weapon?" 0

White Wolf nodded. "That's exactly it! However, your equal detonation method isn't out of the question. When we have enough H Explosive, equal detonation is indeed the fastest and simplest way." 0

"Don't we have enough explosives now?" Daniel countered. "You have over a hundred pounds of H! Are you telling me we don't have enough?" 0

White Wolf shook his head with a wry smile. "Fifty kilograms of explosives should be sufficient, but no one knows how much high-temperature resistance the high insulation materials inside this Missile can withstand, or if the outer armor of this Missile is too thick. All these factors need to be calculated!" 0

Daniel shook White Wolf's shoulders and scolded him playfully, "You fool! Look where we are right now!" 0

White Wolf didn't immediately grasp Daniel's meaning and replied matter-of-factly, "In the Silo!" 0

"Exactly, in the Silo!" Daniel exclaimed excitedly. 0

White Wolf's eyes lit up with realization. "Silo? Silo! Silo!!!" 0

The Silo was a cylindrical structure, a semi-enclosed space where detonating inside would enhance the explosion's power due to its design. The force of the explosion would bounce back from the Silo and strike the Missile's warhead again. 0

With that in mind, fifty kilograms of H Explosive was more than enough! 0

"Quickly start placing the bombs! I'll go connect the detonator!" White Wolf said with a smile as he patted Daniel's shoulder and excitedly descended the spiral staircase. 0

Defensive Position: 0

Due to Chen Rui continuously drawing fire, Elephant General and his team faced very few incoming enemies. Up until now, only a handful of scattered foes had approached, all of whom were swiftly taken down by Elephant General and his comrades. 0

In contrast, the American Special Forces' defensive position was much more challenging. Continuous waves of intact enemy troops were relentlessly attacking their position. Yet even so, the U.S. Military Special Forces did not retreat an inch; they refused to take that step that would tarnish their pride! 0

White Wolf crouched down beside Elephant General. "We've started placing the explosives; when should we detonate?" 0

"Once it's set up, detonate it immediately!" Elephant General said calmly, showing no concern that this order would lead to the deaths of thousands in this virtual world. 0

"Understood!" White Wolf replied, taking the detonator and the remaining H Explosives, quickly running back to the Silo. 0

Meanwhile, Chen Rui continued his relentless advance in this direction, encountering a steady stream of enemies, none of whom managed to return. 0

By now, Chen Rui had entered a place resembling a Dormitory. Almost every bedroom door was open, and the bedding inside was in disarray, clearly indicating that its occupants had recently been enjoying a warm and leisurely sleep. 0

"Looks like the place is deserted?" Chen Rui chuckled as he searched through the various dorms but found no personnel or duty staff, as if everyone had rushed to the front lines to hunt him down. 0

"I'm exhausted! I need to rest for a bit." After confirming that there was no one in the entire dormitory area, Chen Rui stepped into one of the rooms and lay down on the soft bed... 0

"Is it all set?" White Wolf asked as he connected the detonator to the H Explosive, glancing at Daniel, who was busy placing explosives on the outer shell of the Missile. 0

Daniel leaned over the railing, continuously sticking H-bombs onto the Missile. "Almost done! You should go close the Silo door now! That would make it even more effective!" 0

White Wolf cursed back, "Are you crazy? You don't want to go back?" 0

"It won't make much difference in just a second or two, and we can enjoy the fireworks from here! Right?" Daniel said with a grin as he placed the last piece of H-bomb. 0
