Understanding Daniel's meaning, White Wolf realized that even if they were not inside the Silo, the H Explosive would still detonate the nuclear weapon. In that case, they would still 'die' here.
In short, it was all about death; it was better to stay here and enjoy this unprecedented fireworks display before they perished.
After installing all the H Explosive, Daniel smiled and patted White Wolf on the shoulder before quickly descending the stairs to the bottom of the Silo.
Since they were going to watch the fireworks, they certainly couldn't be killed by the shockwave before they even got to see them. Moreover, the warhead of the Intercontinental Missile was located near the top, quite a distance from the bottom. They believed they had plenty of time to appreciate this once-in-a-lifetime fireworks show.
The two did not inform the others about the impending detonation. In fact, no one wanted to know how much time they had left to live. Even in a dream, even the best psychologists would feel fear at the last moment.
Additionally, White Wolf had obtained authorization from Elephant General, which implied that they should not bother to notify anyone when they triggered the explosion.
When White Wolf and Daniel reached the bottom of the Silo, the massive rocket engine of the Intercontinental Missile was positioned about ten meters above them. Suddenly, White Wolf imagined a scene from a previous dream where a large dog had come here alone, using all its strength to blow up the nozzle of that engine.
"What's wrong with you?" Daniel asked, noticing White Wolf's eyes were slightly red. "It's just a dream, right? Why so emotional?"
White Wolf laughed heartily. "Sorry, just thinking about some old memories!"
"Hurry up; I can hardly wait," Daniel urged as he walked to the edge of the Silo's bottom, leaning against its wall and gazing up at the starry night sky.
White Wolf joined him and sat down. Looking up, he suddenly felt like a frog at the bottom of a well. "It feels like we are trapped in this dry well."
Daniel remained silent, continuing to stare upward as if lost in thought.
Seeing his lack of response, White Wolf chuckled self-deprecatingly. If others couldn't see through his heart, could he really so easily see through theirs?
Gazing at that small patch of starry sky, White Wolf slowly pressed down on the red button...
A massive spark filled his entire retina, and the view was almost entirely dominated by the flickering fireworks, truly breathtaking in its beauty.
A tremendous vibration resonated throughout the underground space, and nearly everyone who felt it wore a look of fear on their faces. Only thirteen individuals appeared somewhat relaxed, for they had finally awaited this moment.
Chen Rui felt the tremor and slightly opened his eyes. He reached into his pocket, pulled out a pack of red cigarettes, took one and placed it between his lips, then retrieved a lighter to ignite it, taking a deep drag with a faint smile.

From the Nuclear Control Center as the epicenter, a fireball with a radius of several kilometers slowly ascended. The previously dark night sky instantly brightened as if it were day. People in the bustling area of Chicago couldn't help but gaze at the blinding light...
Inside Conference Room One:
"The time is almost up..." Xiong Kai glanced at the time displayed in the bottom right corner of his computer, reminding Peng Hao, who was nervously fidgeting with his hands. "In five minutes, if no one returns, we will forcibly terminate the connection!"
Peng Hao shot a glance at Xiong Kai and realized he wasn't joking. He shouted back, "The headquarters' time hasn't arrived yet! We will act according to orders!"

"If you truly trust Chen Rui, then you should believe they will succeed in returning within these five minutes! Instead of looking for excuses to delay time. He found himself at the podium of the official conference room, surrounded by leaders from various participating countries. His appearance drew their attention, and the previously chaotic room fell into an eerie silence, with all eyes focused on Chen Rui.
"Everyone!" Chen Rui looked ahead and smiled slightly. "The mission is complete, and there were no casualties!"
Silence. It was even quieter than before, making Chen Rui doubt whether he had made a mistake.
The head of China was the first to start clapping. The slow, monotonous rhythm sounded particularly pleasant in the silent conference room, followed by a wave of applause as everyone in the room applauded him!
After the applause subsided, the representative from Canada said, "I propose that we immediately summon all Action Team leaders and project managers, representatives, and technical staff from each country to hold a meeting here right away!"
The leaders from various governments in the front row exchanged glances and nodded in agreement. Although there had been no casualties in such a significant incident, it was indeed a technical flaw that warranted a technical meeting.

After a brief reporting process, Chen Rui exited the online connection and walked out from behind the partition.
At that moment, after learning that the Special Forces were safe, representatives and team leaders from various governments couldn't help but rush in to confirm that their special forces members were physically and mentally fine. Sigh... Things were getting more and more nerve-wracking... With a smiling Li Xue beside him, Chen Rui headed up to the sixth floor to pack their bags, preparing for their journey to Kiribati together.
