“What’s going on?” Li Xue shot Chen Rui a glance. “The meeting is about to start, and you’re still dazed!”
Chen Rui replied somewhat reproachfully, “Isn’t it because of you? It was the same on the plane! And at the hotel too! You never let me have a moment of peace. I finally managed to rest a bit this morning, and then I got jolted awake!”

“Ladies and gentlemen!” The lead Producer stepped up to the podium, scanning the crowd with a low and steady voice. “I believe you have all gathered some understanding of the situation from your superiors and project heads from your respective countries on your way here!”
“This incident represents a very serious security crisis! It is my negligence not to have specific and effective countermeasures for such potential dangers. At the same time, I would like to express my gratitude to an Emergency Appointment Team Leader who remained calm and managed to save nearly a hundred Dream Participants during this incident.”
“The specific cause of this incident will be addressed by the Chief Planner!” After expressing his apologies, the lead Producer decisively shifted blame, as this incident was due to technical errors, making it an unavoidable responsibility for both planners and technicians.
The Chief Planner glanced at him before stepping up to the podium. “This incident is quite serious!”

“Do you have any evidence?”
"Let's first invite the Execution Team to provide everyone with a detailed understanding of the events that transpired, and then I will naturally explain alongside Chief Technician Xi!" The Chief Planner gave a slight bow and quickly stepped down from the Podium.
Chen Rui knew this was not the time for hesitation, so he resolutely walked up to the Podium.
"I am the leader of the Execution Team for this incident! I am Chen Rui."

"Under those circumstances, both active disconnection within the dream and disconnection of the Control Center were rendered inoperative due to the breach of the Control System. The only remaining options were passive disconnection within the dream and disconnection of the Connector."
"Without control over the Control System, we could not ascertain whether disconnecting the Connector would lead to severe and irreversible consequences. Ultimately, we decided to implement a 'dream Rescue Operation,' which involved passively disconnecting them within the dream."
"Passive disconnection within the dream is an automatic setting triggered when certain conditions are met by the Dream Participants, which even the Control System cannot alter. At that time in the dream, death was one of those conditions for disconnection."

Chen Rui smiled lightly and chose not to respond to his mockery. "The outcome was: all personnel returned safely."
After Chen Rui, Li Xue, as the assistant team leader, briefly reported on the situation in the conference room after Chen Rui entered the dream. Her tone was icy as she looked down at the Action Team leaders, and throughout her report, no one voiced any objections. From the moment she took the stage until she left, the entire conference room remained in absolute silence.
Chen Rui watched Li Xue descend from the stage and forced a smile. "Now that's what true leadership should look like."
Peng Hao chuckled upon hearing this, patting Chen Rui on the shoulder with a grin. "Empress!"
"Shouldn't it be Queen?"
Peng Hao shook his head. "Queen describes mature, strong women who are capable! But an Empress is different; she often possesses strong leadership and command authority. Even if her status isn't overtly displayed, that aura is enough to reveal her identity."
Chen Rui shrugged. "I don't get it..."
"An Empress, just imagine Wu Zetian," Peng Hao said with a mischievous smile. "She had quite the charm."
"Get lost!" Chen Rui playfully slapped Peng Hao's back. "Don't drop the ball!"
At that moment, Li Xue had already stepped down from the podium, and as the nominal Team Leader, Peng Hao leisurely walked up to the stage.
Li Xue sat down next to Chen Rui and poked his cheek. "What were you saying to him just now when I got off stage?"
Chen Rui awkwardly smiled; how could anything escape your keen eyes? "I was bragging about you. Look at how impressive you were up there, commanding the room so fiercely that no one could move."
"Keep dreaming!" Li Xue pinched Chen Rui's chest hard. He winced in pain but didn't dare to cry out, his expression comically distressed.
Peng Hao's report was straightforward; after all, there were no casualties among the Execution Team in this incident. As such, he had little to say—he answered two questions briefly before bowing and stepping down from the podium.
Yu Mingming was even quicker; he stepped up and stated, "Since the Control System was breached, the support team has been on standby..."
Xiong Kai, as the Recording Team leader and a liaison with headquarters, had slightly more content in his report than Peng Hao. However, it wasn't much more; after all, this incident had already been thoroughly investigated. Unless they could capture the person who infiltrated the system, there was little left to analyze or discuss.
