Dream World Fourth World has officially begun its internal testing! One hundred thousand lucky players and one hundred thousand 'testers' have previously received Connectors and advanced computers gifted by Dream Group, and at this moment, they have officially obtained their login permissions.
The one hundred thousand fortunate individuals were randomly selected from applicants across major gaming platforms, while the 'testers' are wealthy investors who contributed during the trial phase of Dream World.
Logging into Dream World is different from the typical account-password login of ordinary games; Dream World does not have virtual accounts. Regardless of where players log in from, the Central Hub will match their brainwaves to find relevant information and establish a connection.
In other words, generally speaking, a person can only have one account in Dream World, and no one can use another person's account. This ensures the utmost security for accounts.
During the initial login, players can create characters within their accounts. At the start, there is only one character slot available. The official statement indicates that as the game progresses, additional slots—second, third, and so on—will be unlocked for creating more characters. However, once created, each character starts from scratch, and data cannot be transferred between characters.
Of course, in addition to those two hundred thousand players, several hundred journalists and some game engineers have also been granted login permissions. This is to ensure that events occurring within Dream World are communicated effectively and swiftly to the real world, essentially serving as free advertising.
Chen Rui, as the highest commander of Fourth World, is currently monitoring all activities of Fourth World from a large office in Kiribati Giant Tower.
"Report! As of now, 19,987 players have logged in!" Li Zheng said with a smile as he mockingly saluted Chen Rui.
"Cut it out; get back to work!"
The original team behind the project "World" has now integrated into the Dream Group Fourth World Project Team, and naturally, Li Zheng has become one of the leaders of the Project Team. Most of the former students are also present in this Office Hall.
However, unlike their time at Jinghua University, these students no longer wear relaxed smiles; instead, their faces reflect seriousness and gravity. In the game "World," players could not directly read each other's information like in reality; they had to communicate directly or gather information indirectly to understand each other's general details.
However, the game now featured three modes: World Mode, Standard Mode, and Game Mode. World Mode had not changed much from before, but in Standard Mode, if a player focused on a person or object for more than a second, relevant public information about that person or object would appear before them.
Game Mode was designed similarly to ordinary VR games, where each player's nickname would appear above their head. By focusing on someone, their information panel would automatically open. This certainly made things more convenient, but the sense of immersion was somewhat diminished.
Of course, if players chose to hide their information, others would not see any details apart from their nickname. Additionally, some special items would not display any related information. Currently, among the two hundred thousand players logged in, all were using the default Standard Mode.
Chen Rui minimized the projection and entered Li Li's personal information into the search bar. Sure enough, he found Li Li among the crowd in one of the twelve Starting Locations.
"Isn't that Mr. Li? Why is he in the game too?" Li Zheng asked involuntarily as he looked at the person on the projection.
Chen Rui chuckled lightly. "Do you really think he would miss out on anything interesting? Or do you think his status isn't enough to secure a login permit?"
"That's true..."
Li Zheng awkwardly scratched the back of his head and asked again, "Hey! Mr. Li's nickname is based on his real name! Just look at the expressions on the faces of the people around!"
The projection in front of Chen Rui was in management mode, so all players' information was clearly visible. When Li Li appeared among the crowd, everyone who saw him couldn't help but freeze for a moment. Gradually, all eyes in the Starting Location focused on Li Li.
Li Li slowly came to realize what was happening. He smiled and responded to each gaze as he walked out of the Starting Location and into this brand new world.
Once Li Li disappeared from everyone's sight, the players gradually returned to their senses...
"All the players in this Starting Location are lucky ones randomly selected from various platforms! How could Mr. Li directly enter here upon entering the game?"
Among the twelve Starting Locations, five were designated for ordinary players, while another five were for wealthy merchants. Only two locations were set as mixed entry points to avoid conflicts between wealthy merchants and players.
When the projection was pulled to show other players' entry points, it became clear that almost all ordinary players had chosen normal game nicknames. However, when looking at the wealthy merchants' entry points, it was evident that nearly all of them used their real names.
"No wonder you insisted on such a division; you were worried about this issue."
Observing the chaotic scale of the two mixed locations, Li Zheng said gravely, "This problem is serious. If left unchecked, something will eventually happen."
"Indeed," Chen Rui nodded.
"Hello! We are from Sincerity Media..." The door to the Office Hall swung open, and a group of people rushed into the Office Hall with a pile of equipment.

The Dream Group Board of Directors consisted of leaders from participating countries and representatives from major investing enterprises; there was only one representative from individual enterprises, and everyone knew who that was.
Chen Rui took the document and examined it closely. Upon seeing the red seal at the bottom, he sighed helplessly.
"Is that your office? Can we set it up as a live streaming room?" Hao Jinguang asked, pointing to an empty office with a smile.
Chen Rui nodded as he watched Hao Jinguang lead a group of people carrying equipment into that office.
Chen Rui gestured to Li Zheng, who leaned in closer to hear him.
"I won't be able to directly command you moving forward, so I'll leave the on-site command work to you. Any orders I give will require your consideration before you decide whether or not to execute them."
