In Jinling City, there was only one Teleportation Array, connecting the easternmost country of the Eastern Region to the Ling Sheng Dynasty. The flow of people in and out was quite frequent. 0

As Wei Chen and Ni Junlin stepped out, a middle-aged man with a lewd expression called out loudly, "You two, come over and register. What are you staring at? It's you two I'm talking to." 0

Wei Chen and Ni Junlin exchanged a glance, both chuckling helplessly. Being on someone else's turf, it was better to heed their call. They approached the middle-aged man, who leaned against a table with a thick stack of papers on it. His lecherous gaze swept over Ni Junlin. 0

"Name, origin, write it down," he said. Although he seemed sleazy, he didn't tease Wei Chen or Ni Junlin, perhaps unsure of their strength. 0

Wei Chen registered both their names as required. When it came to the origin section, he hesitated for a moment but ultimately wrote down Sui Kingdom and Cloud Spirit Sect. Even though the Cloud Spirit Sect no longer existed, it was still where Wei Chen had started his journey. 0

"I thought you came from somewhere impressive; turns out it's Sui Kingdom and Cloud Spirit Sect," the middle-aged man sneered upon seeing what Wei Chen had written. 0

"Sui Kingdom is such a place; Cloud Spirit Sect wouldn't have any reputation in Ling Sheng Dynasty. How would this person know about Sui Kingdom and Cloud Spirit Sect?" Wei Chen pondered, then asked aloud, "Brother, does Sui Kingdom and Cloud Spirit Sect have any fame in Ling Sheng Dynasty?" 0

"Pfft! Kid, don't overestimate your weak homeland. Soul Palace and Ancient Spirit Academy have sent many experts to that area; everyone in Ling Sheng Dynasty knows this. It's just uncertain whether that land will ultimately belong to Soul Palace or Ancient Spirit Academy." 0

The middle-aged man looked down on Wei Chen and continued, "You must be refugees from that cursed place. Jinling City has designated areas for refugees from that region to live, providing free food and shelter. I suggest you go there. As for this young lady..." 0

His lewd gaze returned to Ni Junlin, and he leered, "If you don't have a good place to go, I can find you one." 0

"No need," Wei Chen interjected as he stepped in front of Ni Junlin and pulled her away. He feared that Ni Junlin might lose her temper and deal with the man directly, which would only lead to trouble. 0

"Are you afraid I'll kill him?" Once outside the registration area, they found themselves on a street that wasn't particularly bustling. Ni Junlin stopped and looked coldly at Wei Chen. 0

Wei Chen nodded. "Of course. We're new in Jinling City; it's best not to stir up trouble." 0

"Trouble? In a place like this, even the biggest trouble can be wiped away with a wave of the hand," Ni Junlin replied confidently. 0

Wei Chen sighed, "You really are impressive, but my strength is lacking. If the Army comes after us, you might escape, but I would be in trouble." 0

"Don't worry, I won't leave you behind," Ni Junlin said seriously, looking into Wei Chen's eyes. "Unless I die." 0

Seeing the determination and softness in Ni Junlin's gaze warmed Wei Chen's heart. He smiled and replied, "I won't either." 0

Ni Junlin smiled back and asked, "So where are we going now?" 0

"Let's check out that so-called refugee settlement," Wei Chen said, his expression darkening as he felt a bit down. 0

"What are we going there for?" Ni Junlin asked, puzzled. 0

"To find a friend," Wei Chen thought of Zhao Yu, the dazzling girl who had vanished. He wondered where she had ended up. 0

"I hope we have some luck. If we can find Zhao Yu in Jinling City, it would ease my mind," Wei Chen thought as he waved for a carriage to head to the settlement. 0

However, upon searching the settlement, all he saw were faces filled with despair; Zhao Yu was nowhere to be found. Disappointed yet relieved, Wei Chen let out a sigh of relief. If Zhao Yu had been among those people, it would have been too much for her. 0

After leaving the settlement, Wei Chen felt lost. There were still three or four months until the Ancient Spirit Academy began recruiting disciples. Where should he go during this time? 0

Wei Chen bought a map of the Ling Sheng Dynasty, which detailed the divisions of the City-States. He spent two full hours studying it and sighed to Ni Junlin beside him, "I never expected Ling Sheng Dynasty to be this vast." 0

Ni Junlin shrugged nonchalantly and replied, "No matter how big it is, with the Teleportation Array, you can reach anywhere in an instant." 0

"No," Wei Chen shook his head helplessly. "Ling Sheng Dynasty is simply too large. The royal family probably doesn't have the resources to establish Teleportation Arrays in every City-State. They only exist in larger cities that connect directly to the royal capital. For instance, Jinling City doesn't qualify. If we want to reach the royal capital, we need to travel west for thirty thousand miles to a place called Eryuan City, where there is a Teleportation Array leading to the royal capital." 0

"Thirty thousand miles..." Ni Junlin pondered for a moment and frowned. While she could manage short distances flying with Wei Chen, thirty thousand miles was quite a stretch; she might not be able to handle it! 0

"We can take a Warship there; Jinling City has Warships that travel to Eryuan City." Wei Chen grinned widely at the thought. Warships were rare in Sui Kingdom; there was only one cargo passenger Warship in Jinling City. The Ling Sheng Dynasty truly was a prosperous place in the Eastern Region. Just thinking about experiencing a legendary Warship made Wei Chen feel excited. 0

After spending ten taels of silver, they arrived at the location to board the Warship. Fortunately, when Wei Chen and Ni Junlin arrived, there was only a minute left before the Warship was set to depart. 0

The Warship was entirely black, stretching a hundred feet long and ten feet wide, resembling a giant fishing boat parked on the vast ground. A staircase extended from it, allowing people to climb aboard. 0

It was Wei Chen's first time seeing a Warship, and he looked around with wide eyes, appearing quite naive. 0

"Are you two boarding a Warship for the first time?" Several guards standing beneath the Warship immediately gathered around with smiles. Business was slow; the route from Jinling City to Eryuan City was not thriving, and every passenger needed to be flattered. 0

"Our Warship has six classes of seating, ranging from First Class to Sixth Rank, with different prices. May I ask which class you would like to choose?" 0

"The Sixth Rank seats are comfortable private cabins, perfect for two people to rest. The journey to Eryuan City is not short; it will take two days. The cheapest First Class seat only allows you to sit for two whole days—how tiring would that be?" 0

The group chattered enthusiastically, their faces full of flattery, clearly hoping Wei Chen would purchase a Sixth Rank seat. 0

Wei Chen glanced at Ni Junlin. With such a delicate and stunning beauty by his side, sitting among a crowd could lead to trouble; it would be better to buy a Sixth-Class Cabin. 0

"Then let's go with the Sixth Rank. How much is it?" Wei Chen asked. 0

"One hundred thousand taels of silver, but I can give you a discount—ninety thousand taels will do," one of the attendants said, nearly bowing down in servitude. Their obsequiousness made both Wei Chen and Ni Junlin feel quite uncomfortable. 0

Wei Chen was taken aback and then looked at Ni Junlin as if seeking help; he genuinely didn’t have that kind of money! 0

Clearly, Ni Junlin didn’t have it either… 0

"Are you two just here for fun? If you can't afford the Sixth-Class Cabin, then just take a First Class seat. It's only one thousand taels per seat; surely you have that?" The attendant's tone turned sour as he mocked them. 0

Wei Chen patted his pockets while Ni Junlin shook her head. It was evident they didn't even have a thousand taels… 0

"No money? I'm sorry, but we don't conduct business at a loss. Please leave." 0

"In this day and age, anyone dares to wander around here, dressed like a refugee. Could they be barbarians from the Eastern Wasteland?" 0

"I think it's possible. That area is caught in the struggle between the Soul Palace and the Ancient Spirit Academy, so there are many refugees." 0

"I really don't understand what the Soul Palace and the Ancient Spirit Academy are thinking. I wouldn't want anything from such a barbaric place!" 0

A few of them laughed mockingly. Ni Junlin narrowed his eyes, anger rising within him, while Wei Chen couldn't help but want to teach them a lesson. Just as he was about to take action, a sinister voice interrupted. 0

"I'll cover this lady's expenses!" 0

Wei Chen turned around to see who was approaching. 0

The person appeared to be around ten years old, with slicked-back hair and a delicate face, dressed in luxurious brocade robes. He walked leisurely with his hands behind his back, chin slightly raised. Following him were four imposing bodyguards wielding swords, keeping pace with him. 0

The demeanor was that of a typical young master from a wealthy family. Wei Chen speculated that he might be some spoiled heir from Jinling City. 0

Wei Chen usually didn't bother with such people, but he was currently out of money, and taking the Warship to Eryuan City was his only option. So he forced a smile and cupped his fists in greeting to the Young Master. "Brother, since you're covering the expenses, I thank you in advance. Once I have the money, I'll definitely repay you. We're looking for a Sixth-Class Cabin, which costs ninety thousand taels of silver. You've really gone out of your way!" 0

"Alright," the Young Master replied casually, then his expression shifted as he looked at Ni Junlin. "The Sixth-Class Cabin is for me and this beautiful lady; you can take a First-Class Seat." 0

The Young Master's lecherous gaze made it clear what he was after. 0

Strangely enough, Ni Junlin not only showed no signs of disgust but even threw a flirtatious glance at the Young Master... 0

"This... might be a bit inappropriate?" Wei Chen felt quite troubled. 0

"What’s inappropriate about it? Offering you a First-Class Seat is already my generous act; don’t be ungrateful," the Young Master said with undisguised contempt in his eyes. 0

As soon as he finished speaking, a ticket seller from the Warship immediately flattered him. "Young Master Wu Yi, you truly are magnanimous! So, what kind of seating do your bodyguards require?" 0

"Naturally, it's the Sixth-Class Cabin. There are only three compartments on your Warship, and since I'm feeling generous today, I'll take them all," Wu Yi declared boldly, casting a cold glance at Wei Chen, as if to say: your woman is mine! 0

He then turned to Ni Junlin, who threw him a flirtatious glance that seemed to captivate him completely. 0

"Alright, alright, since they're all empty, they're yours. I'll even give you a discount; a total of 250,000 taels of silver will do. As for that First-Class Seat, consider it complimentary," the attendant quickly agreed. At this moment, one of Wu Yi's bodyguards had already pulled out a banknote, ready to pay. 0

"Wait!" 0

Wei Chen shouted angrily, stepping forward with his eyes glinting coldly as he fixed his gaze on the attendant. "Whichever hand you use to take the money, I will chop off that hand!" 0

The attendant was startled and dared not accept the payment any longer. 0

Wu Yi sneered, "You can't afford the money yourself, yet you want to play tough? Don't you know whose territory this is?" 0

Four bodyguards swiftly drew their Treasure Blades and surrounded Wei Chen. 0

"Show these items to your manager and ask how much they are worth," Wei Chen said, revealing the Fourth-Rank Three-Eyed Serpent Demon Core he had obtained from the peak of Sword Mountain. 0

Upon seeing that item and sensing the Soul Power emanating from it, the expressions of everyone present changed slightly. Even some passengers aboard the Warship who were merely watching were taken aback in surprise! 0
