"Uh... why is that?" Wei Chen frowned; this kind of phenomenon was indeed rare!

"Damn it! Didn't you say that the Demon Realm is superior to the Soul World, so time passes faster there while time in the Soul World passes slower?" Wei Chen retorted angrily.
The Demon Lotus Emperor replied, "Because when you are in the Demon Realm, time passes slower than in the Soul World. Once you go to the Soul World, time in the Demon Realm will pass slowly. All these changes arise because of you."
"Because of me? Do I have such great power?"
"You naturally do not have the ability to change time; it's just that your arrival in the Demon Realm inherently altered space, which consequently changed time as well. It's not that you changed the time of the Demon Realm and Soul World; rather, their times underwent subtle changes to accommodate you."
The explanation from the Demon Lotus Emperor was extremely cryptic, and Wei Chen still did not understand.
"Demon Lotus Emperor, aren't you supposed to know everything? Why are you stumped this time?" Wei Chen mocked.

From the center of the Black Magic Clan's Black Magic Palace to the Soul Beast Gathering Place in the northwest, the journey was extremely long. Wei Chen saw that the mountain range resembled a sleeping dragon, its length obscured by its vastness and its width indiscernible. The Dark Mage sighed again and added, "Unfortunately, after so many years, no one has been able to achieve that. If someone truly does manage it, neither you nor I should think about becoming Demon Emperor anymore; we must honor our ancestors' promise and relinquish that position."
Wei Chen nodded; he understood the Dark Mage's good intentions. It was merely an attempt to instill that promise in his mind so that when he eventually became Demon Emperor, he would also make that promise and adhere to it without fail.
Wei Chen had always been a man of his word; once spoken, words could not be taken back.
"Grandfather, why don't we find a way to solve this ourselves? The identity of the Dark Magic Royal Family would be better suited for our family," Wei Chen said after hesitating for a moment with a faint smile.
"You think I don't want to? Resolving the crisis at the Soul Beast Gathering Place is the aspiration of the Black Magic Clan, and it is also the aspiration of our Dark Magic Royal Family. However, after all these years, no one has come up with a solution. Child, if you can think of a way, whatever you want, your grandfather can fulfill it," the Dark Mage sighed.

The Dark Mage resolutely refused, "No way! How could I possibly feel at ease leaving you here alone?"

The Dark Mage was taken aback and then bitterly smiled and shook his head. He was one of the top powerhouses in the Demon Realm, ranked among the Thirty-Six Levels. In Wei Chen's eyes, he had become a burden...
"Alright then, child. Since you are so confident, I have no reason not to support you. If you want to face this alone, I can leave, but you must promise me that if anything goes wrong, don’t be brave; just retreat. I will be waiting for you outside."

The Dark Mage flew away, leaving Wei Chen alone to climb up Soul Beast Mountain. He was still at the foot of the mountain now; although the surrounding soul beasts exuded fierce auras, they lacked real strength and could not harm him.
Soul Beasts differ from ordinary beasts and magical beasts in that they are formless and intangible; they can only be perceived through Mental Strength. A Soul Beast is a type of magical beast in a pure soul state that cannot attack a human body but can only assault the Sea of Consciousness.
Attacks that are formless and intangible are the most terrifying. Invisible and untouchable, one could easily fall victim without noticing. The strength of Mental Strength is a weakness in the Demon Realm; this is what has earned Soul Beasts their fearsome reputation. In contrast, within the Nine Immortal Realm, Soul Beasts pose little threat since individuals there possess strong Mental Strength.
Low-level Soul Beasts lack true consciousness and rely on instinct to attack weaker Soul Bodies. As Wei Chen projected his Mental Strength outward, the Soul Beasts in the area at the foot of Soul Beast Mountain sensed his overwhelming Mental Strength and were so frightened that they fled in terror, not daring to approach him at all.
Wei Chen sprinted forward at an incredible speed, quickly covering several miles and delving deeper into the outer layers of Soul Beast Mountain.
In this layer, the level of Soul Beasts was already quite high, ranging from the tenth to the Fifteenth Levels. They frequently appeared in Wei Chen's Sea of Consciousness reconnaissance, yet none dared to attack him. Instead, they could only follow him from a distance, exuding dark and profound auras, calling for their companions to come.
Wei Chen remained unfazed, cutting through obstacles as he continued his ascent.
Soul Beast Mountain towered over ten thousand meters high. Wei Chen's goal was not the core layer at the very top; he aimed for the central layer at around a thousand meters, intending to slay some mid-tier Soul Beasts for Red Boy to absorb while also honing his Mental Strength.
Mental Strength would naturally increase with enhanced abilities and age, but Wei Chen could not afford to wait for that. To defeat Dragon Clan Young Master Ginger Guest, both formations and Mental Attacks had theoretical possibilities. The time spent on formation techniques was insufficient; only Mental Attacks could yield immediate results.
Thus, Wei Chen chose to train his Mental Strength. If it were solely for Red Boy's growth, he certainly wouldn't be so eager to venture into Soul Beast Mountain. His primary purpose was still for himself.
"The number of Soul Beasts following me is increasing, yet none dare to strike. Are they really that timid?" Wei Chen communicated with Demon Lotus Emperor.
Demon Lotus Emperor replied, "Soul Beasts are inherently creatures that fear the strong and bully the weak. They will only attack those whose soul strength is inferior unless ordered by a superior to do so. If you want to train, you should suppress some of your Mental Strength pressure and avoid ascending too quickly. I sense some formidable beings lurking ahead; if they swarm you, it will end badly."
Wei Chen nodded in agreement; when it came to matters of life and death, he would not act recklessly.
At that moment, Red Boy emerged from Wei Chen's Red Demon Armor, his youthful face filled with greed as he commanded Wei Chen, "Hurry up and kill them! I'm very hungry!"
Hearing that order, Wei Chen retorted irritably, "Red Boy, your tone is a bit too presumptuous, don't you think?"
"If you keep talking back, I'll absorb your soul!" Red Boy glared fiercely at Wei Chen.
