The best course of action for now is to cultivate the Seven Emotions and Six Desires Realm as soon as possible.
However, Wei Chen still had no clue how to cultivate the Seven Emotions and Six Desires Realm.
"Wei Chen, just take your time. Don't force anything; going with the flow is also a good attitude. The rest isn't that important," the Demon Lotus Emperor comforted Wei Chen, noticing the turmoil on his face.
Wei Chen replied, "That's true. I don't care much about it."
Though he said he didn't care, deep down, Wei Chen had secretly resolved that whenever he could use magic to confront an enemy, he would never rely on Mental Strength. Otherwise, it wouldn't help his cultivation at all.
In fact, to cultivate the Seven Emotions and Six Desires Realm, both comprehension and combat experience are essential. Wei Chen needed to prove that he was not affected by the Holy Demon Curse, so he had to start cultivating the Seven Emotions and Six Desires Realm as soon as possible.
After thinking for a moment, the Demon Lotus Emperor said, "Wei Chen, have you considered that Sea Emperor Nanfeng's invitation for you to go to the Philippine Sea might not be well-intentioned?"
"I know that well enough. He doesn't have any bad intentions per se; he simply wants to use me against Philippe King. He himself is too afraid to venture into the Philippine Sea, but with me along, he feels more secure," Wei Chen replied calmly.
"What do you plan to do then?" asked the Demon Lotus Emperor.
"It's simple. I'll observe Sea Emperor Nanfeng's actions. If he genuinely helps me, then I can assist him in dealing with Philippe King. But if he tries any tricks, I won't help him anymore; I'll just walk away," Wei Chen stated.
The Demon Lotus Emperor pondered for a moment before saying, "Actually, you could take this opportunity to unleash some chaos in the Philippine Sea and hone your combat skills."
Hearing this, Wei Chen smiled wryly and said, "Right now, my combat power can't even handle ordinary Sea Tribe members; how can I unleash chaos?"
"Don't worry about that; there will always be small fry from the Sea Tribe for you to deal with. Who knows? In the midst of fighting, you might just break through."
"Ideals are abundant while reality is harsh. I can't rely on 'what ifs.' If I want to cultivate successfully based on 'what ifs,' then it will truly only remain a 'what if,'" Wei Chen countered.
"Demon Lotus Emperor" smirked and said, "There will always be killing, there will always be training. Relying on your 'Mental Strength' to crush others won't work; if someone strikes first, you're out of options."
"I know, I'll do my best," came the reply.
After chatting for a while longer, "Demon Lotus Emperor" left "Wei Chen's" room.
As soon as he stepped outside, he saw "Lynn Luyao" standing there with her head down.
"Hey, Lynn, are you looking for Wei Chen?"
"Demon Lotus Emperor" asked with a teasing smile.
"Yes," "Lynn Luyao" replied.
"Go on in. I was just negotiating some matters with him and it delayed you."
"No, no, your important matters take precedence," "Lynn Luyao" quickly responded.
"There’s no such thing as unimportant matters; everyone’s affairs are important," "Demon Lotus Emperor" said with a knowing glance at "Lynn Luyao" before cheerfully returning to his own room.
"Lynn Luyao" stood outside "Wei Chen's" door for a while, her face showing signs of struggle and indecision.
Just as she was hesitating, the door creaked open.
"Wei Chen" stood inside, looking amused as he observed "Lynn Luyao." "Lynn Luyao, if you have something to say, just come in. Why are you lingering outside?"
Lynn Luyao felt a flush of embarrassment as she stood outside a man's room in the dead of night. It was undoubtedly inappropriate.
However, inviting Wei Chen to her room would be even worse.
After much hesitation, she ultimately decided to seek out Wei Chen.
Upon entering Wei Chen's room, he casually set up a Mental Strength barrier. Anyone from South Sea Island attempting to eavesdrop would find it impossible; he would detect them immediately.
Moreover, no one within the Demon Realm could overhear their conversation.
With all possibilities of eavesdropping eliminated, Wei Chen looked at Lynn Luyao and said calmly, "Lynn Luyao, you want to ask about your true identity, don't you?"
"True identity?"
Lynn Luyao was taken aback. She had only intended to ask Wei Chen about what had happened during those nineteen years and whether he had discovered anything. But before she could even speak, Wei Chen had already mentioned her true identity, indicating that her situation was far more complicated than she had thought.
Realizing this, Lynn Luyao quickly asked Wei Chen, "Young Master Wei Chen, please tell me everything you know."
Wei Chen replied, "Sea Emperor Nanfeng has uncovered some clues. You were ordered to be taken by the East Sea King of the Philippine Sea. As it stands now, you should be considered part of the Sea Tribe. Your body has fused with the essence of over ten powerful Sea Tribe warriors above the Thirty-Two Levels. Within your Sea of Consciousness lies a special Sea Tribe seal controlled by Philippe King. When he unseals it, you will become a puppet obeying his commands, stirring chaos among the human realm."
"Philippe King has expended great resources to create you. I do not know his ultimate purpose. After all, while the Sea Tribe can evade ordinary scrutiny on the human realm, they cannot escape the inspection of the Three Great Clans' higher-ups. Once the seal in your Sea of Consciousness is broken, you will no longer be as you are now; you will exhibit characteristics of the Sea Tribe, including gill-like breathing apparatuses appearing behind your ears."
Hearing Wei Chen's words, Lynn Luyao was utterly shocked. How could this be happening?
Her face displayed an expression of disbelief as she murmured, "How could this happen? Have I become part of the Sea Tribe?"
"Why is this happening? Does that Philippe King have a grudge against me?"
To ordinary people, the Sea Tribe represented an absolute opposition. The Red Demon Tribe had suffered greatly from the Sea Tribe's invasions, and there was an indelible hatred between them. Suddenly becoming part of the Sea Tribe was something Lynn Luyao could not accept at all.
Lynn Luyao's expression was extremely complicated. She stared blankly at Wei Chen, remaining silent for a long time. Suddenly, with a thud, she knelt on the ground, looking up at Wei Chen with eyes filled with pleading. "Wei Chen, Young Master, please save me."
Wei Chen hurriedly tried to help Lynn Luyao up, but she remained unyielding, refusing to rise from the ground. "Young Mistress, the Red Demon Tribe is a vassal force of the Black Magic Clan. I am also considered your subordinate. If you don’t save me, I won’t get up."
Upon hearing this, Wei Chen felt a headache coming on. This woman was determined to play hardball!
Save her?
How could he save her?
Wei Chen had already decided to go to the Philippine Sea to take a look and even confront that Philippe King. However, matters of bloodline were the most difficult to resolve. Lynn Luyao was now part of the Sea Tribe; what could he do to save her?
Was he supposed to reshape her bloodline?
Honestly, Wei Chen didn’t have that kind of ability. He could only hope to find a way to rescue her in the Black Magic Palace. But would anyone in the Black Magic Palace be willing to save Lynn Luyao?
The resources required to "save" Lynn Luyao were simply too great.
Even if Wei Chen wanted to help, those within the Black Magic Palace might not take action. And even if they did intervene, there was no guarantee they could turn Lynn Luyao back into a human.
Wei Chen understood the difficulties involved, so he couldn't bring himself to speak.
He looked at Lynn Luyao, shook his head, and smiled bitterly. "Lynn Luyao, let's not think too much about it. Once we get to the Philippine Sea, maybe we can find a way to save you."
"To the Philippine Sea?" A look of hope appeared on Lynn Luyao's face. The one who tied the bell must untie it; perhaps going to the Philippine Sea would lead them to answers.
"That's right, we're going to the Philippine Sea. I've already promised Sea Emperor Nanfeng that we'll head there tomorrow to see what Philippe King is really made of."
"And I will do my best to help you eliminate your Sea Tribe bloodline. As for whether it can be done, I can't make any guarantees right now."
Wei Chen could only offer Lynn Luyao some comfort. The woman was kneeling on the ground and refusing to get up, completely at a loss.
For now, he could only coax her into standing up.
Lynn Luyao looked hopeful and said, "Young Mistress, you must save me. I don't want to be a pawn of the Sea Tribe."
"Actually, it's not as exaggerated as you think. As long as we take down Philippe King, your identity as a Sea Tribe member will just be that—an identity. There won't be any issues. Philippe King won't be able to control you anymore, and the mark of your Sea Tribe bloodline—the gills—won't show either. Even though you'll still have the Sea Tribe bloodline, it won't bind you; instead, it will grant you strong cultivation potential. Everything has its pros and cons; if you use your Sea Tribe bloodline well, it can be a tremendous asset."
Wei Chen tried his best to persuade Lynn Luyao. At this point, he just hoped she would get up soon; seeing her kneeling like that was truly painful.
Lynn Luyao stubbornly replied, "Young Mistress, I don't want the Sea Tribe bloodline. Even if my cultivation potential is mediocre, I want our Red Demon Tribe's bloodline."
Hearing this, Wei Chen helplessly said, "Why are you so stubborn? The Red Demon Tribe's bloodline has average potential, while the Sea Tribe's bloodline can allow you to cultivate quickly. In time, I can speak with my grandfather and ensure you become a special existence. With your Sea Tribe bloodline walking on the continent, I guarantee nothing will go wrong."
Lynn Luyao was slightly swayed. What she feared most was not being respected on the continent and being treated like a rat scurrying across the street—everyone shouting for her downfall. As long as she could live openly among the human race with strong potential, why wouldn't she want that?
Lynn Luyao looked at Wei Chen with eager eyes and said, "Young Mistress, I just hope to have an identity that won't be bullied. Can you give me that?"
Hearing Lynn Luyao's words, Wei Chen was taken aback. What did she mean by that?
Was she asking for an identity similar to that of a Consort Crown Prince?
Wei Chen forced a smile. Despite Lynn Luyao's beauty, he wouldn't despise her Sea Tribe identity. In his eyes, all races were the same; even those who had transformed into humanoid forms from magical beasts were not looked down upon.
The Dark Mage wouldn't care about which woman Wei Chen chose; they would only hope he would find more women...
But the problem was, he didn't have those kinds of feelings for Lynn Luyao!
He was already an adult, no longer the young man who would impulsively chase after beautiful women. The current Wei Chen was very rational; if something wasn't meant to be his, he wouldn't easily become emotionally attached. As a man in the Demon Realm, although there were countless women—indeed, the number of women in the Demon Realm far exceeded that of men—Wei Chen was no longer the hot-blooded youth he once was. He had begun to understand the importance of suppressing his desires.
Once a man learned to control his urges, success was not far off. A man who couldn't suppress his desires was not a good man and had little future ahead of him.
So, as much as he might desire Lynn Luyao, Wei Chen regrettably could not agree.
Yet, looking at the beautiful woman kneeling before him, he found it hard to harden his heart and refuse her.
He gazed at Lynn Luyao and said calmly, "Please get up. We'll discuss this matter when we return to the main continent."
