Hearing the words of the Fire Clan Leader, Wei Chen and Donghua, along with their seven companions, were all moved. When a great clan faces a deadly threat, the elders within the clan demonstrate their resolve through sacrifice. What a magnificent group of people they are!
In that moment, the admiration that Wei Chen and Donghua felt for the Fire Tribe increased significantly.
Such a race is worthy of respect. Wei Chen and Donghua held deep reverence for the Fire Clan Elders.
As they listened to Fire Shadow introduce the volcano, Wei Chen and Donghua's group ascended the volcanic mountain. Everyone was intrigued by this peculiar mountain and freely released their Mental Strength to probe its condition.
However, whether it was the powerful Mental Strength of Wei Chen or the slightly weaker Mental Strength of Donghua and his companions, they found their abilities suppressed within the volcanic body. Their Mental Strength could barely reach far; even Wei Chen could only detect conditions a few hundred meters away.
Realizing their efforts were in vain, everyone retracted their Mental Strength and began to walk up the mountain.
Inside the mountain, the air was extremely polluted, filled with a nauseating scent of burning sulfur. Within that atmosphere, Fire Element Energy permeated, causing an involuntary feeling of heat. Fortunately, Wei Chen and Donghua's group were all formidable individuals; otherwise, just the heat inside the volcano could induce hallucinations of being burned by fire.
Inside the volcanic body, Wei Chen and Donghua experienced a completely different sensation compared to when they were outside. From a distance, it appeared as if flames were scorching the mountain; however, inside, they merely felt intense heat and concentrated Fire Element Energy—nothing more.
Walking up the mountain was suggested by Fire Shadow with an awkward expression. Although they could have flown directly to the summit, it was a tradition of the Fire Tribe to prohibit flying within the volcano. No member of the Fire Tribe, regardless of status, would violate this Ancestral Instruction. Outsiders were also expected to respect this Ancestral Instruction.
Wei Chen and Donghua found nothing unusual about this; it seemed quite normal. However, Fire Shadow appeared apprehensive that Wei Chen might mind this request, which made him seem cautious and somewhat embarrassed.
Wei Chen readily agreed, which reassured Fire Shadow.
As they climbed toward the mountain's peak, Wei Chen and Donghua's group felt increasingly fatigued. In contrast, Fire Shadow seemed unaffected and maintained a normal demeanor.
As they progressed further up, Wei Chen and Donghua had no choice but to silently circulate their energy to alleviate some discomfort. Yet that feeling of being scorched by flames persisted, making their bodies feel hot and uncomfortable.
Regardless of their immense strength, everyone experienced this sensation within the sacred grounds of the Fire Tribe. Wei Chen believed that even if Killing God Senior or Uncle from Lost City were here, they would feel similarly.
Though it appeared that their pace was slow, each member was powerful in their own right and moved quickly. In just a minute, they reached the summit of the majestic mountain.
At the summit, a brilliantly blooming flower left Wei Chen and Donghua, along with their seven companions, in utter shock.
They saw that at the peak, there was a massive depression resembling a volcanic crater, where a gigantic fiery flower blossomed within. That flower was the Fire Source.
Without needing Fire Clan Leader or Fire Shadow to say anything, Wei Chen and Donghua's group could feel the vast and boundless Fire Element Energy that was as majestic as the universe itself.
The Fire Source was astonishingly powerful!
Even though Wei Chen had imagined it many times before, he was still taken aback.
Wei Chen gazed at the Fire Source with fascination; the energy contained within it was countless times greater than he had envisioned.
It was almost limitless, impossible to estimate just how strong it truly was.
Wei Chen finally understood why Fire Clan Leader and Fire Shadow were so confident that the Fire Source could not be controlled. Now he realized that this brilliantly blooming flower was beyond his current capabilities to control.
"The Fire Source truly lives up to its reputation! With so much energy, even at its peak, Killing God Senior wouldn't be able to match it, right?"
Wei Chen thought to himself and immediately turned to Killing God Senior, asking, "Killing God Senior, have you ever encountered such a miraculous entity?"
Killing God Senior quickly replied, "No, such a thing is unimaginable even in the Spatial Plane where Bloodshed Shop resides. I have always underestimated Endless Divine Realm; the fact that it can possess something so formidable proves that its Spatial Plane level is higher than I had imagined."
Killing God Senior was filled with astonishment. For the first time in his life, he felt a deep sense of reverence for Endless Divine Realm.
"I was too arrogant before; who can afford to be arrogant in front of such a Divine Vessel? Even the legendary Third-Level Deities cannot compete with this Divine Vessel," Killing God Senior thought to himself.
He was profoundly shaken by the Fire Source. Previously, he had never considered that such a powerful entity existed within Endless Divine Realm.
In fact, Killing God Senior had always looked down on Endless Divine Realm. He believed it was too backward, lacking strong individuals and the environment for them to emerge. But after witnessing the Fire Source, his perspective on Endless Divine Realm changed dramatically.
Wei Chen and Donghua were both staring intently at the Fire Source, the pure Fire Element Energy contained within it evoking a sense of awe in them.
How could one not feel awe?
In the face of such powerful energy, all warriors would naturally feel a sense of reverence.
The small desire in Wei Chen's heart to obtain the Fire Source instantly dissipated.
The mountaintop was quite spacious, with a massive depression whose top diameter reached a mile. The diameter narrowed as it descended, resembling an inverted cone. The Fire Element Energy grew purer and stronger the deeper one went. The blazing Source of Fire Flower appeared flawless, radiating immense strength, showing no signs of collapsing as suggested by the Fire Clan Leader, Fire Shadow.
Seeing that Wei Chen and Donghua were both stunned, Fire Shadow felt satisfied with this effect. He remained composed, offering no explanations or additional comments, simply watching Wei Chen and Donghua along with their seven companions until they had fully absorbed the shock before speaking again; he believed this would enhance the impact.
Previously looked down upon by Wei Chen and Donghua, Fire Shadow was suppressing some frustration. He thought to let these country bumpkins be astonished for a while before he could subtly show off his superiority.
People are inherently calculating; Fire Shadow wanted to regain some face, which was merely a basic aspect of human nature.
Wei Chen observed the brilliant Fire Source and also noticed hundreds of elders clad in Fire Tribe robes, meditating in mid-air. Their hands occasionally formed seals as they directed energy toward the Fire Source. They formed a circle several hundred meters away from it, continuously absorbing its energy while also sending that energy back, attempting to control the Fire Source and prevent it from completely collapsing.
These individuals did not hoard any energy; whatever they absorbed was sent back entirely. They operated like machines, using their bodies to shield against the oncoming force.
Such actions seemed insignificant compared to the collapse of the Fire Source, but even a small amount of water is better than none at all.
Through their desperate efforts and sacrifices, the rate of collapse for the Fire Source indeed slowed somewhat.
Wei Chen noticed that each time the rotating Source of Fire Flower was hit back by those elders' efforts, its rotation would weaken slightly. When all the elders exerted their full strength, the Fire Source could even momentarily stop spinning.
Wei Chen realized that when the rotation of the Fire Source was rapid, the spread of Fire Element Energy increased quickly—this indicated its impending collapse. Conversely, when the flower's rotation slowed or even halted, there would be no spread of Fire Element Energy, meaning that the Fire Source would not continue to collapse.
Such stagnation was rare; for the Fire Tribe, every slight reduction in rotation speed of the Source of Fire Flower represented an invaluable opportunity for survival.
After a period of observation, Donghua and the other six had also figured out the secret behind the collapse of the Fire Source.
They felt a mix of disrespect and awe towards the elders of the Fire Tribe.
Not every elder could stand up at a critical moment, nor could every elder be willing to sacrifice their body or even their life to buy time for the survival of their tribe when it was on the brink of destruction.
The actions of those elders earned the collective respect of Wei Chen and the seven from Donghua.
In their eyes, each elder surrounding the Source of Fire Flower, absorbing and releasing its energy, was worthy of respect—truly great and heroic!
Unknowingly, Wei Chen and Donghua began to develop a fondness for the Fire Tribe.
It was hard to imagine that such a divided and troubled Fire Tribe could unite to this extent.
Wei Chen let out a deep sigh, looking at the Fire Clan Leader, Fire Shadow, and asked, “Patriarch, is the so-called collapse related to the rotation of that Source of Fire Flower? If it doesn’t rotate, then it won’t collapse.”
“That’s right. Long ago, the Source of Fire Flower was completely still and did not rotate at all. We don’t know what exactly happened, but the Fire Source began to spin. The elders could only sacrifice themselves to try to stop its rotation,” Fire Shadow explained.
He had initially intended to subtly mock Wei Chen and Donghua since they had looked down on him before. However, when Wei Chen asked his question, he instantly forgot his frustrations. The matter at hand was more important; if Wei Chen could control the Fire Source with formations, then nothing else mattered.
At that moment, new developments occurred near the Source of Fire Flower.
