In fact, there was nothing to be overly concerned about regarding this incident. After all, Ugly was Newton, and to avoid any future exposure that would make him look bad, Newton would never truly go all out. Of course, the ultimate victor was still Geman from Sword-Biting Tiger. 0

Naturally, Minerva did not die; she was ‘saved’ by Newton as a matter of course. 0

“Why did you save me?” 0

Minerva approached Newton, looking at him with a rather complicated expression. 0

“I lost. I’m a weakling. I’ve already…” 0

“If you want to die, then go ahead and die.” 0

Newton shrugged dismissively, clearly unconcerned. 0

“I saved you just as a side note; don’t get too carried away with yourself.” 0

Newton didn’t care what Minerva thought, but Sting was quite grateful to him. 0

Overall, the Great Magic Games had passed without major incident, despite appearing tumultuous at times. Everything seemed as if nothing had happened, yet only the participants knew what they truly thought. 0

Time passed in this manner, and the subsequent Great Magic Games continued as usual. Ugly never reappeared, and no one knew what his plans were. Sword-Biting Tiger gradually solidified its position as the number one guild in the kingdom. Newton remained indifferent to this development, choosing instead to stay in his base. During this time, he had developed quite a number of impressive inventions. 0

Fairy Tail withdrew from the Great Magic Games competition altogether—was it a strategic retreat? However, few spoke ill of it because under Newton’s training, while Fairy Tail’s members might not reach the top tier, most had become quite competent. 0

In stark contrast to Fairy Tail’s silence was the Guild’s high profile. If the previous Guild had controlled much of the national economy but still faced some troubles, now the Guild was truly wealthy enough to rival nations. Newton’s reputation as a Guild leader became even more pronounced. 0

Seven years passed little by little… 0

“How are you feeling? Nervous?” 0

Mavis chuckled as she watched Newton make countless mistakes. Over the years, she had witnessed just how steady his hands had become; errors like shaking hands or picking up the wrong items were simply impossible for him. Yet in such a short time, Newton had dropped his wrench numerous times and made several mistakes in selecting potions or tools. 0

"Just a little." 0

Newton smiled and set aside the work he had been doing. 0

"After all, it's been seven years." 0

He approached a mirror, and the once youthful face had matured. His hair was slightly long and messy, and a beard had grown in, adding to the weariness on his face. 0

"Wow, seven years..." 0

"Don't worry, your girlfriend won't just abandon you like that." 0

Mavis patted Newton on the shoulder. 0

"I'm not really worried about that; it's more like... nervous? Yes, that's it—nervous!" 0

Newton took a deep breath, and then a razor appeared in his hand. Over the years, not only had Newton created many things, but his own Alchemy combined with Manifest Arc had also advanced. During this time, he hadn't shied away from violence. Although he didn't possess a Philosopher's Stone large enough for an entire nation, he had several smaller ones—enough for ten people, and even a piece that could serve a hundred. 0

It wasn't just the progress in Alchemy; Newton's magical power had also grown. The past seven years had seen not only Newton's advancement but also that of Gerard and the former members of the Dark Guild whom Newton had entrusted to Gerard. Especially Ultia, who had developed a technique called Second Magic Source. A person has one source of magic; adding another would be incredibly powerful. The terror of such magical power would directly enhance their strength. 0

This was actually part of Newton's request to Ultia to conduct research using the Arc of Time. Over these seven years, Newton had witnessed countless Mage battles and gathered substantial data. If the people from Wolf Island were to return, the seven-year gap would be enough to leave them in despair. While Newton's data collection could help them grow stronger quickly, the Second Magic Source was what truly enhanced their hard power. Although activating the Second Magic Source would be painful, Newton believed they could endure that suffering. 0

With the first and second sources established, how could there not be a third? However, given that it had only been seven years, the research on the Second Magic Source was already astonishing; the third would merely be foundational research. It had been developed but was not like the Second Magic Source. Activating the Second Magic Source would involve some pain but no lasting side effects. The Third Magic Source was different; while there was no pain involved in its activation, it came with severe consequences: one would no longer be able to use magic at all. Of course, research on the Third Magic Source was still ongoing, and it was uncertain when results would emerge. 0

By the way, during this time, not only had Newton changed but so had the entire world. Various Guilds underwent transformations; Jura forcefully ascended to the throne of Saint Fifth, a level unattainable by mere mortals. Each Guild injected new blood into its ranks, creating a harmonious atmosphere throughout the kingdom. 0

The kingdom's Eclipse Gate continuously absorbed magical power each year. Unfortunately for them, most of that magic was siphoned off by Newton and wouldn't activate on its own; thus, all that power ended up benefiting him. 0

"Should I change into another outfit?" 0

Mavis looked at Newton with amusement. He had been standing in front of the mirror for quite a while, adjusting his collar and glancing over his shoulder, clearly restless. 0

"You look like you're going on a blind date," she teased. 0

"It feels a bit like that, actually," Newton replied with a wry smile. "I think you might be right. I really am a bit scared, and I don't even know what I'm afraid of." 0

"Ha ha, alright, let's go. Once you meet her, you might just relax." 0

Mavis patted Newton on the shoulder. 0

"Okay." 0

The two of them walked out of the laboratory and onto the beach, where a round object slowly rose into the sky. Newton could feel the immense magical power emanating from it. 0

Wolf Island had reappeared on this sea after seven years. 0
