Meanwhile, Xiar suddenly felt a mysterious connection with the other party, sensing their emotions—fear and closeness. 0

Xiar let out a sigh of relief; he had been quite worried that the other might die completely, which would mean he had repaid kindness with enmity. 0

If such a cute creature were to casually perish, there would definitely be a horde of pet lovers coming after him! 0

Before Xiar could comfort the other, a wave of flames suddenly erupted above his head, engulfing his entire field of vision and causing the temperature in the cold basement to rise sharply. 0

When the fiery wave dissipated, chunks of stone began to fall from above. However, before they could hit him, they were deflected by a layer of pale white barrier. 0

Xiar stared in astonishment at the protective shield surrounding him. It felt like wearing an invisible bodysuit, conforming to his entire body and morphing with his movements without any sense of restriction or discomfort. 0

"Is this the Guardian Spirit Light?" 0

Xiar reached out to touch it, and his fingers met no resistance as they brushed against his cheek. Yet, the falling stones could not touch him at all. 0

Clearly, this layer of defense possessed some sort of judgment ability; anything that could potentially harm him would be blocked. 0

The Guardian Spirit Light was a protective field granted to Spirit Masters by their totems, typically equivalent to three times the defense of the totem itself. 0

Moreover, it could stack with an increasing number of totems, meaning if you possessed ten totems, the Guardian Spirit Light's defense would be three times the total defense of those ten totems combined! 0

This implied that unless you eliminated the totems first, you would not be able to kill a Spirit Master. 0

Thus, in this world, totems were always the absolute protagonists in battle. A Spirit Master casting Spirit Techniques could only play a supportive role, somewhat akin to summoners in magical worlds. 0

As long as you cultivated sufficiently powerful totems, you could defeat enemies far beyond your level! 0

"Let's get out of here; otherwise, it's easy to get caught in the aftermath of two Spirit Masters' battle." 0

After coming to a realization, Xiar grabbed the scorching hot bricks from the other side and quickly began to climb up, trying to escape the battlefield as soon as possible. 0

In the original courtyard, Bruce's frenzied roar echoed. His Crimson Giant Lizard was no match for the opponent, resembling a child compared to an adult, utterly defenseless. 0

The enemy's Giant Lizard viciously bit off the forelimb of his Giant Lizard, devouring its flesh and blood. 0

"Bastard, die!" Bruce shouted as he frantically waved his hands. Suddenly, the injured Giant Lizard glowed with blinding light, swelling like an inflated balloon. Then it exploded with a deafening blast, sending waves of fire that engulfed an area of over ten meters. 0

All wooden furniture and flammable items, including bedding, were reduced to ashes, leaving the ground covered in thick dust. 0

The crimson flames made Xiar feel a suffocating heat; even the Guardian Spirit Light could not fully block this intensity. The terrifying shockwave slammed him heavily to the ground. 0

He turned his head in horror to look at the explosion site and murmured, "Impressive; this could rival the destructive power of a rocket." 0

However, despair washed over him as the mysterious visitor emerged unscathed from the flames, mocking him: "What gives you the courage to think that self-detonation can harm a Fire Lizard on the verge of Ultimate Evolution? You're merely at the first tier of a non-Evolution totem." 0

Cough! 0

Bruce coughed up blood. The connection between a totem and a Spirit Master was intertwined; once the totem was completely destroyed, the Spirit Master would suffer severe damage as well. 0

Before him lay a Purple-Winged Butterfly, about the size of a basin. It had bravely shielded him from the explosion's aftermath; without it, he would not have survived. 0

Yet Bruce's face twisted in rage as he hoarsely shouted, "Ha! You’ve all been fooled! What I hold is not some low-level Source Artifact but a Top Source Artifact related to time!" 0

"And now, I have discovered its true purpose!" 0

Kansius furrowed his brow, looking at him with grave concern. "With your current strength, attempting to activate a Source Artifact will cost you your life. Do you really wish to die?" 0

"Hah! Did you think I believed you would let me go? Come with me to the grave!" 0

A series of Source Crystals appeared in Bruce's hands, instantly turning to dust. Behind him, Xiar suddenly saw a pair of enormous crimson hands materialize out of thin air, grabbing him and the White Fox, lifting them to hover above the figure. 0

Then, a strange mirror emerged in front of the White Fox. Bruce's maniacal laughter echoed, "Hahaha! My foolish junior, let me show you the true purpose of the Top Source Artifact!" 0

"Shine forth, Future Light!" 0

"Future Manifestation!" 0

Boom! 0

The Mysterious Mirror erupted with blinding multicolored light, enveloping the area for hundreds of meters, with Xiar and the White Fox positioned right in front of the mirror. 0

He suddenly felt his soul detach from his body, floating quietly in mid-air as he watched the White Fox roar in fury, yet he couldn't hear any sound. 0

"What? This is truly a reverse Treasure that can summon the future!" 0

Kansius was taken aback; he never expected that his opponent could actually wield this Source Artifact. However, he did not panic; instead, his expression turned as cold as ice. "Arrogant fool, do you really think a mere Moonlight Fox can have any future!" 0

Summoning the future? 0

What on earth? Is this still the Totem World I know? 0

Xiar was utterly bewildered, completely unable to anticipate such a situation. Clearly, the game memories he had previously possessed could not be fully trusted. 0

Under his astonished gaze, the White Fox Fire suddenly vanished, replaced by a dazzling white light that appeared in its place. An unprecedented force descended, with energy surging like a mighty river, covering an area of thousands of meters. 0

The terrifying aura caused all the residents of Shining Gold Town to fall into unconsciousness! 0

"It can't be... it can't be..." Kansius stared blankly at the enveloping White Shadow, losing all courage to resist. 0

“Ha ha ha ha ha!” 0

Bruce let out a maniacal laugh, continuously spitting blood yet unable to stop his laughter. He hovered in mid-air, looking down at the young man below. “My dear student, I truly did not know you would possess such a brilliant future.” 0

“If given another chance, I would teach you well instead of trying to seize everything from you.” 0

“Ha ha ha, what an unpredictable and ridiculous fate.” Blood flowed from Bruce's eyes, nose, and mouth, but he welcomed it all as if it were a grand ceremony. 0

“Dear junior brother, let us enjoy this glory together, reveling in the ultimate honor of the Spirit Master!” 0

Boom! 0

Flames erupted from his body, transforming into the Source Energy that fed the massive White Shadow. 0

The enormous White Shadow slightly bowed its head, giving Kansius the illusion of being overwhelmed by an unprecedented and terrifying power. 0

Bang! 0

He couldn’t even last a second; his entire body shattered into pieces, leaving no flesh behind as he burned away in the pale blue flames! 0

Xiar stared blankly at the gigantic White Shadow. “Is this the future of Firefly?!” 0
