The Tree of Life is the organization’s attempt to cultivate a "God," which is the only True God that governs all Totem Beasts.
Its ability to construct a network that spans the entire world is just one of its powers. As the sole True God, it will possess control over all life, including the Totem Beasts.
Thus, its greatest utility lies in assisting with totem mastery, allowing users to control more than five times the usual number of totems, even exceeding ten times!
Typically, an ordinary Spirit Master can have one Main Totem and two or three Auxiliary Totems. The more powerful ones can manage up to five Auxiliary Totems.
However, once this Treasure is obtained, even the most mediocre Spirit Master can wield over twenty totems!
At the onset of war, the organization relied on this artifact to command a terrifying Totem Army, even forming a massive Beast Tide that could stand against the other two major organizations until several protagonists rose to power and ultimately defeated them.
Now, such a treasure has fallen into his hands. Strangely enough, the Evolution Modulator allowed him to instantly grasp how to use it and successfully transformed an ordinary beast into a Half Totem.
With an impressive 80% success rate, he did not hesitate to spend his last remaining Evolution Point. With such a high success rate, if he didn’t take the chance, he might as well stick out his neck for someone else to chop off!
As he infused his Evolution Points into it, the originally cute and silly Lizard suddenly morphed into a fierce monster resembling a Komodo Dragon.
It boasted sharp teeth like those of a crocodile and was covered in dense black scales that shimmered with a cold metallic luster under fluorescent light.
"How is this possible!" Neil exclaimed, his eyes wide open in disbelief. He could never have imagined that an ordinary beast could grow so large in an instant.
What on earth? How could a beast complete Evolution in just a few seconds? What kind of reverse Treasure is this?
"Wow, this thing really is a Treasure," Xiar said as she reached out to stroke the head of the Giant Lizard.
The massive, ferocious monster now resembled a spoiled dog, lowering its head and nuzzling against his hand, its thick tail wagging behind it, thumping against the trunk with a loud bang.
He stood up, a sinister smile spreading across his face. "Neil, this treasure seems quite impressive. Would you like to give it a try?"
"No thanks, I need to find my sister," Neil quickly realized the intent of the person before him and turned to flee without hesitation.
This totem had undoubtedly completed its evolution; there was no way he could fight against it. Staying would only lead to death!
"Please wait! Wouldn't it be better if we worked together?" Xiar would not allow him to escape. If Neil got away and spread the news, it would surely bring him great peril.
Using the Life Tree Seed for reverse purposes would undoubtedly make countless people covet it, attracting many secondary beings, and even completing ultimate evolution with Third-Level Spirit Masters wouldn't be unusual.
He watched Neil's retreating figure and coldly issued an order. "Activate ability!"
The Giant Lizard immediately turned around, a faint grayish-white glow appearing on its head. Its massive body suddenly surged forward, crashing into Neil.
"Ability activated—Brutal Charge!"
Boom!
Neil was violently knocked away, flying several meters like a rag doll before crashing into a tree.
The grayish-white Guardian Spirit Light surrounding him shattered instantly, unable to withstand such a frenzied impact, leaving him severely injured.
"Brutal Charge: The Komodo Dragon moves slowly but can concentrate all its strength for hunting monsters, launching a super-fast charge that can directly incapacitate its enemies!"
In the Spirit Realm, Xiar quickly grasped the capabilities of the Giant Lizard, allowing him to launch the most effective attack against the Totem Beast.
The colorful bird on its shoulder suddenly let out a sharp cry, swooping down from the sky to pounce on the Giant Lizard's head, its sharp claws attempting to tear through its skin.
However, the thick scales of the Giant Lizard rendered it completely immovable. Instead, the bird nearly found itself caught in the Lizard's jaws, losing a few feathers in its frantic escape as it landed on Neil.
The balance of power shifted instantly. Xiar calmly approached, smiling as he said, "Brother, why are you hiding from me? Can't we just have a nice chat?"
"Xiar, I have no enmity with you. Why are you doing this to me?" Neil's lips were stained with blood, his face pale as paper. As he looked at the massive creature slowly closing in on him, despair washed over him.
"Tsk tsk, it seems you wanted to kill me earlier—after all, villains have always met their end by talking too much..." Xiar grinned and uttered words that left Neil bewildered before coldly commanding the Giant Lizard to charge.
"My secret cannot be known by anyone; you should just die!"
"Stop!"
At that moment, a roar echoed from afar as another massive and ferocious creature, Frenzy, charged toward them.
But Xiar did not look back; he resolutely commanded the Giant Lizard to advance—this man had to die, no matter who came!
If he allowed Neil to escape, his secret would be completely exposed. He would never allow that to happen, even if it meant opposing this "protagonist"!
Whoosh!
Just then, he suddenly heard a sharp whistling sound as a massive stone hurtled through the air and smashed onto the Giant Lizard's head, nearly toppling its enormous body.
Xiar turned around and saw the ferocious monster standing upright. The stone that had been thrown earlier was a testament to its terrifying strength.
Truly, it was the future beast known for its brutality; just moments ago, Evolution had already demonstrated power far beyond that of a Common Totem.
Realizing that the opponent's totem was much stronger than his own, he dared not hesitate for a moment. With a thought, he commanded the somewhat dazed Giant Lizard to finish the fight quickly.
Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. A butterfly, as large as a basin, fluttered by, scattering tiny specks of light. It was beautiful yet harbored a terrifying poison.
The Giant Lizard, lacking the protection of Guardian Spirit Light, swayed slightly. However, it possessed an exceptionally high resistance to toxins, having fed on various poisonous insects. After Evolution, this resistance had become even more formidable.
It merely swayed once before recovering and lunged forward, biting down on the approaching Purple-Winged Butterfly, crushing it instantly and swallowing it whole after a few chews!
A layer of pale white Radiance burst forth from its body, causing Xiar's Evolution Points to jump from 0.5 to 0.8!
With the Main Totem defeated, Kathy in the distance spat out a mouthful of blood and collapsed to the ground, suffering severe mental trauma.
"Stop it!" Rody shouted angrily from afar.
Neil also let out a piercing cry: "Rody, he stole that organization's Treasure; it can allow beasts..."
However, his sentence was cut short as the Giant Lizard bit down on his head, crushing it completely!
