"How could you..."
The man’s face was filled with horror and despair as he couldn't help but scream in terror, only to be silenced in the next moment as he was brutally killed.
"Ugh, it's so bloody again. I need to clean this up quickly." Xiar frowned lightly, casting a disgusted glance at the bloody remains on the ground. The towering beast, nearly five meters tall, immediately crouched down and stuffed the man's corpse into its massive, blood-filled mouth.
This was the Moon Child, a terrifying and savage creature that devoured humans, which Xiar had deemed the best method for disposing of bodies.
In an instant, a living person had been consumed, leaving only a gruesome stain behind.
"The prisoner launched a surprise attack during apprehension and was accidentally killed by me. There is video evidence," Xiar reported the completion of his mission with a hint of apology as he channeled his mental energy into the Enforcer Badge.
Moments later, a suppressed wave of anger resonated back: "Enforcer White Fox, please report to the third floor after completing your mission."
"Understood, I'll head there as soon as I return," Xiar replied calmly.
Clearly, his missions had consistently resulted in nearly one hundred percent mortality rates for prisoners, which had infuriated his superiors responsible for task assignments, prompting them to want to reprimand him properly.
However, Xiar felt no fear; Morent Academy was a place that valued rules.
These so-called rules were meant to restrain the strong in order to protect the weak, and he happened to be one of those weaker individuals compared to others...
On the northern side of the town, a carriage was parked there. The driver chewed on a piece of dry grass, waiting idly.
He had been hired to travel from over a hundred kilometers away near the academy to this most remote town.
After a while, the young and handsome Employer finally returned, still wearing a gentle smile. "Alright, let's head back."
"Yes, sir." He cracked the whip, urging the black steed to move forward. To pass the time, he asked, "Sir, are you visiting a friend?"
"One could say that. I've come here on someone else's behalf to see that person," came the reply from within the carriage.
"With your demeanor, you must be from the Student ranks. Only those from there possess such noble qualities, and you certainly have more pleasant words than those noble lords," the coachman couldn't help but say.
"You have quite an eye..."
The carriage was equipped with a good shock absorption system, and with the well-paved road, it traveled smoothly.
On either side were lush forests, with birds flitting between the trees and chirping.
The coachman looked around at the greenery and sighed. "Back when this island was just a desolate wasteland, it took years of transformation by the Important Figure of the academy to become what it is today. Those people are truly remarkable for turning such a vast island into this..."
This was indeed true; one could find evidence of this in the records of the academy's library.

At that moment, a fireball shot through the air and exploded, shattering the entire carriage into pieces and killing the coachman instantly!
"There's always a Troublemaker trying to harm me. Which Bastard is it this time?"
Beside him, the Moon Child's body surged dramatically, transforming from an innocuous Kappa form into a fierce beast, shielding him completely. The scales on its body remained unscathed despite the flames scorching around them.
The Moon Child leaped, carrying him over ten meters away, its gaze alert as it watched two massive beasts emerge from the forest.
One of them was a bizarre creature covered in layers of scales that resembled fish scales. To be precise, it looked like a large fish with four legs.
Above it, a Crimson Bird circled in the air, having unleashed the earlier fire attack.
"Very good, two Evolution-level peak totem beasts. They certainly think highly of me," Xiar remarked calmly while standing in the palm of the Moon Child, assessing the two giant creatures. He could sense that they were clearly not far from Ultimate Evolution.
At that moment, rustling sounds came from behind him as another giant beast emerged from the trees.
Simultaneously, two figures cloaked in black robes stepped forward, their faces obscured by black veils, appearing mysterious.
Xiar said coldly, "What a grand setup. Have you prepared too much just to deal with a newcomer like me?"
Three peak Evolved Tier Totem Beasts and two seasoned Spirit Masters of corresponding levels—these individuals truly regarded him highly.
"Xiar, who crossed the ocean from the Harrison Empire, was originally just an ordinary First-Level Spirit Master. However, after becoming an Enforcer, he has killed ten Spirit Masters, including a Secondary-level battle-hardened killer."
One of them spoke in a mechanical and hoarse voice, recounting his experiences without haste.
Xiar grinned and replied, "Oh, they were merely fellows who dared to violate the academy's rules. Killing them was just getting rid of pests for the academy. Were any of them your relatives or lovers? It's unfortunate they insisted on resisting and ended up being killed by me..."
"Shut up!" one of them roared in anger.
Caw!
The giant bird circling in the sky let out another cry, spewing a ball of searing flames that rushed toward him with a howl.
Moon Child shouted, unconcerned, as he punched the fireball. The scales on his body were more than enough to easily withstand such an attack, requiring no evasion at all.
At that moment, the ground beneath their feet suddenly shattered, and a creature resembling a pangolin emerged from the rubble, its black scales flying like knives toward Xiar.
Guardian Spirit Light manifested, and the flying scales fell to the ground one by one without causing any ripples.
"I really don't know who gave you the courage to think that three mere Second-Level Spirit Masters could take me down," Xiar said with a helpless smile. He waved his fingers, and complex runes appeared before him, summoning three Evolved Grade Totems.

A giant eagle with a wingspan of nearly ten meters soared into the air, instantly pouncing on the Crimson Giant Bird. In midair, its feathers transformed into sharp arrows, creating a rain of projectiles that enveloped its opponent.
The Crimson Giant Bird attempted to evade but froze for a moment. The giant eagle seized this fleeting opportunity, driving its steel-like feathers viciously into its body.
It then lunged onto the opponent's back, its sharp beak piercing through its neck, blood spraying into the air!
