Atlantis Coast Ryan Port.
As one of the port cities of Atlan, Ryan Port handles cargo volumes several times greater than Storm Harbor. Every day, hundreds of Steamships set sail from here to Harrison, Lorensath, and other parts of the Empire.
The status of Atlan in this world is akin to that of the maritime carters in Aqua Star's History, positioned at the eastern road's most protruding tip, closest to the Western Continent, with only a few hundred kilometers separating it from the distant shores of the Harrison Empire.
Their technological development far surpasses that of other Empires, with various industries thriving, yet natural resources are scarce, and the local market is too limited, necessitating the search for dumping markets for their goods.
Atlan's products are in high demand worldwide, generating substantial wealth, which has prompted the Two Great Empires to impose high taxes to restrict them.
This morning, by the shore where merchant ships bound for Harrison and Storm Harbor docked, four individuals stood quietly.
Though they were all bundled up tightly, they still attracted many curious glances, and some passersby even approached, hoping to take advantage of the situation.
Unfortunately, they underestimated the strength of these seemingly delicate girls, who sent their would-be assailants fleeing in panic.
A Blonde Girl said expressionlessly, “Erin, I believe I have fulfilled Xiar's request.”
Her long golden hair shimmered under the sunlight like brilliant gold, making her particularly eye-catching.
“Thank you, Tiffany,” Erin replied with a grateful nod.
Earlier, a Spirit Master had attempted to harm them, but this Blonde Girl had appeared like a divine warrior, sending those attackers flying with a single punch. She had escorted them from Morent Island all the way to Ryan Port, protecting them until they had purchased their tickets and were ready to depart.
“Elder Sister Erin, take care on your journey. I hope to see you again,” said a pale-faced girl, her amber eyes glistening with tears.
Erin stepped forward and gently embraced her, her voice choking with emotion. “Vivian, you need to take good care of your health. It will take you over half a month to recover from Xiar. Don’t forget to take your medicine on time. When I have the chance in the future, I will come to visit you.”
In their brief time together, she had grown fond of this strong girl and considered her like a sister.
This farewell left uncertainty about when they might meet again.
After all, with thousands of miles between them, it felt like an unreachable distance for both of them. It was unlikely that one would travel such a long way just for a brief reunion; it was almost akin to saying goodbye forever!
"Well, Elder Sister Erin, please take care of yourself," Vivian couldn't hold back any longer and burst into tears.
The whistle blew, signaling that the steamship was about to depart. The group no longer delayed as Tiffany held Vivian close and waved goodbye.
"Tiffany, is Xiar really okay?" Erin couldn't help but ask again.
Everything had seemed fine until suddenly Xiar had insisted that Tiffany take her and Lan away, forcing them to return to Storm Harbor first. Clearly, something dangerous had happened, making her increasingly worried about him.
"Don't worry, he will be fine..." Tiffany turned her head, gazing toward the northern location of Morent.
It was the first time she lied.
Because she wasn't sure if he was still alive. The terrifying fluctuations they had felt earlier clearly belonged to an attack from a Disaster Beast.
She had no idea what had happened in Morent that would require the use of a Disaster Beast, and not just one.
Her keen senses allowed her to feel that fluctuation from hundreds of miles away, detecting as many as three Disaster Beasts!
What did three Disaster Beasts mean?
Any one of them attacking with full force could level Morent and slaughter millions of people, leaving even Third-Level Spirit Masters unable to survive!
She couldn't ascertain his fate, but for the sake of the earlier request, she lied without hesitation.
"Tiffany, I know you value equal transactions. As payment for healing Vivian, I ask you to ensure Erin and the others board the ship safely."
That afternoon, he had taught her outside with a smile as he made that request.
"Goodbye..."
Erin and Lan boarded the ship, standing on the deck and waving goodbye to them.
Toot!
The horn sounded again, and thick black smoke billowed from the chimney as the Steamship set sail.
Tiffany held Vivian close, gazing at the Steamship as it gradually pulled away from the shore. Suddenly, she felt a pang of envy for her companions.
Some of them had protectors, while she could only rely on herself, bearing a weight of responsibility that ordinary people could hardly imagine...
The thought flashed through her mind, but she quickly regained her cold composure—
I am Tiffany, a member of the Lorensath Empire royal family, the heir to this noble Bloodline!
Lorensath Empire awaits my salvation!
Boom!
A roar echoed from the north, like a meteor crashing down, the terrifying explosion reverberating through Ryan Port.
Though it had weakened significantly, it still left everyone at the port looking fearful.
This kind of explosion had already occurred several times before, making these ordinary people increasingly anxious. What was happening?
Another Ultimate Form self-destructed!
Tiffany instantly grasped the truth; aside from the Disaster Beasts attacking, only an Ultimate Form's self-detonation could create such terrifying waves that reached hundreds of kilometers away!
"Three Disaster Beasts attacked, four Ultimate Forms self-destructed—what on earth is happening... Morent, is it all coming to an end?" Her expression grew more serious.
Now her strength was stuck at Third Rank, with no hope of advancement in sight. If Morent fell, she wouldn't even be able to find a place to gather resources needed for Evolution. It would be easy for those powerful factions in the empire to notice her plight and hunt her down.
Daring to poison the imperial royal family, a newly emerged ancient family of Disaster Beasts had been plotting to overthrow the empire and had garnered support from other factions.
She decided to return and check on things.
After ensuring Vivian was settled, she made her way back to Morent...
...
In the Harrison Empire, in the western part of Tirisfal County, there lay a mountain range.
No one knew that beneath this desolate land, there existed an enormous cave.
At the deepest part of the cave, there was a transparent crystal coffin constructed from strange materials. Inside it lay a girl with eyebrows that arched upward like swords, submerged in a milky white liquid. Embedded in her forehead was a peculiar mark resembling a purple lightning bolt.
Slowly, she opened her eyes, filled with endless confusion, murmuring, “Hmm, my head hurts... Who am I... What happened... Where am I?”
She pushed against the heavy lid of the coffin, which weighed hundreds of pounds, and it easily slid open as if it were made of thin wood.
The girl was clad in soft armor, stained with splatters of white liquid and bearing numerous tear marks. Surrounding her were countless monsters, crackling with electricity, making chirping sounds as if they were affectionate pets seeking her approval.
“Xiar... brother...” she suddenly murmured before clutching her head in pain.
“Who is it?”
